Fixing the electromagnet.

For my electromagnet,i choose to build an air core electromagnet. My reason was the lack of cogging that is present when you have an iron core elctromagnets,with magnets swirling past them at close proximity. I made my air coil to be triangular,starting with 70 turns of thick insulated copper wire (magnet wire). My former was a thick carton paper,folded into a triangular shape as in the pix.

In the previous pix,i had had my mosfet already in place,as these will switch on the electromagnets.

For my magnets,i figured a large speaker magnet would do. So i bought these too. I bought eight pieces. So to make a more powerful magnet,i just attache one,one magnet to each of the four magnets.this method makes a magnet stronger,but not twice as strong,owing to the magnetic field properties that tend to drop off its strength,as the distance from the magnetic field increases. The pixs below,illustrates how i installed the magnets to the disc.

Meanwhile,for something to get started on,i bought a second-hand generator,rated 750watt,aka "i pass my neighbour". For something to use as my disc,i had to persuade a friend of mine,to let me have his vaccuum cleaner. This was after i had had a look into the innards of his vaccum cleaner,and noticed a disc that fits my need. This vaccuum machine was rated at 2000watt. So i don't have to tell you it must have cost the owner a pile of jack. I needed that disc,so i had to do alot of talking. I took him through my explanation of how there happened to be a disc inside his vaccuum machine,that fits all my requirements. This friend of mine witnessed the making of my homebuilt helicopter last year,he saw it being built and saw it finally being flown in his presence,so needless to say that,apart from being my friend,he is a good fan of mine,and i had him informed,about my current radiant energy experimen. In the end,he let me have it. |
After alot of tinkering,i came up with a design that would entail a large circular disc. On this disc,would be mounted some number of powerful magnets,like say 4 pieces of magnets. An equal number of electromagnets would also be installed,in apposition to the magnet,but are stationary; that is to say that,the electromagnets are stationarily installed at exactly the same angle that the magnets are. These electromagnets would fire in unision,at a precise time,to repell those magnets and hence impart rotational force in the disc. For something useful to do with that rotating force,i choose to slap the disc on to an alternator,so i could see how much useful voltage could be produced. At the end of the day,i intend to recover the radiant energy that's coming out of those electromagnets. As simple as it sounds right? Or so i thought. But it aint as easy as meets the eye! |
Hi folks. I just thought it wouldn't be a bad idea,if i share some little information on an experiment i had been doing for the past 4 months. This experiment was aimed at building a device that would utilize the radiant energy that is usually found on electromagnets or a solenoid. |

Needful to say,i supply pure sinewave inverters,with a 1year guaranty. These inverters all have an inbuilt charger. So you can use them as your power backup system,just slap on your batteries,and off you go! |

I also designe solar mobile phone chargers,with a capability to charge 90 phones or more,depending on your need. This charger is ideal for those who are into phone charging bussines. So they wont borther about fuel nor servicing of generators. Below are some pix of a charger i built for some people. In the pix below,i have shown the work in progress. I just want you to have an idea of what it looks like inside. But mind you,this kind of charger uses the car charger that's used to charge phones. I charge N15,000 for building a charger that can charge up 50 phones at a time.

Alot of folks here knows what an inverter is,so i guess an inverter isn't news. But stressing some parts,we all know that with an inverter,the need to service generators nor have some nasty noise within earshot,wouldn't be there. And there are times when you wanted to watch your favorite movies,matches nor do some goddamn work with your laptops or computers,but you hadn't any power source. With an inverter,you wouldn't have that,neither would the power holding company be dictacting your schedules for you. You would be the ones to do so! Am known as kingsley obinna. I assemble and install commercial inverters. I also build inverters ranging from 500watt to 10kwatt. I modify foreign inverters and convert them so their capacity becomes 10 times higher than before,but with some addition of materials.. That does'nt cause the inverter to blow up on the rated power. No,it wouldn't. I re-engineer the inverter,and scale up the necessary power components that are required. For instance,i can take a 1kv inverter,re-engineer it a 15kv inverter! As simple as that? That's not magic. It's doable,but it aint a simple work to do either. It's one hell of a job to indulge into,but you could,if you have the patience and know-how. I'm offering to sell these ideas and method,so i'm making some arrangements on holding a seminar. In this seminar,i shall be teaching the participants how to do this things,and do it better than me. The white men out there who built these things don't want you to know these,that's why you see a 6kv inverter being sold for around N210,000. The truth is;you can buy a 6kv inverter for N120,000,or even less. A 2.5 KVA/48V,with a Pure sinewave os,with inbuilt charger goes for N80,000 . But i can supply them for you at N40,000. A 3.5KVA/48V Pure sinewave inverter with inbuilt charger goes for N98,000. But i can supply them for you at N55,000. A 5.KVA/48V Pure sinewave inverter with inbuilt charger goes for N190,000. But i can supply them for you at N95,000. A 7.5KVA/120V pure sinewave inverter with inbuilt charger goes for N267,000. But i can supply them for you at N150,000. A 10KVA/180V pure sinewave inverter with inbuilt charger goes for N323,000. But i can supply them for you at N250,000. A 15KVA/360V pure sinewave inverter with inbuilt charger goes for N616,000. Gas turbine works by sucking in air with the help of a large fan(impeller). This impeller compresses the air,and pushes the air into section called a "diffuser"(not shown in the diagram above),after passing through the diffuser,the air enters the combustion chamber,where it is mixed with fuel and burned to produce hot exhaust gas which is used to get the output shaft rotating... What the diffuser does is: as the air passes through it enroute to the combustion chamber, it causes the air to lose velocity and gain an increase in pressure.. The major efficiencies of gas turbine engines lies in their operating pressures. The higher the pressure,the higher the power output. |
A gas turbine falls in the jet engine family. However,a jet engine uses it's exhaust gases for propulsion. But a gas turbine uses it's exhaust gas to rotate a fan. This fan is connected to a shaft. When the fan rotates,it rotates with shaft. This shaft,after going through some enormous reduction gearing system,is used to rotate the rotor blades of the helicopter(if used to power a helicopter). |

After all said and done... I have decided to embark on my second project.. It is a gas turbine engine... I can try my hands on building a full scale helicopter that can carry humans and cargo. But at the moment,i have no feasible propulsion system for that kind of big helicopter.. I'm well aware of the fact that,if i am to build a full scale helicopter. I would have to drop electric power and begin using fuel power. Hence the reason i decided to try my hands on gas turbine mechanics. |

Jakumo: No problem buddy. I will be sure and keep my advice to myself in the future. I realize that 10K naira is a massive expense and I apologize for even suggesting that you consider such a waste of money. Your piloting is as good as it needs to be.@Jakumo No no no... Now you're getting me wrong.. I aint insinuating you keep your advice to yourself.. No not in the slightest.. With due respect. I just wanted to hint out a possible fact to you.... Jakumo: Hello Parkingzzz your RC piloting skills will take a quantum leap if you take some time to practice with a simulator on your computer. You will be able to master nose-in hovering, as well as hovers facing either left or right, just by putting in the hours. The cheapest simulator out there is FMS, shown in the link below, and costing the equivalent of about 10K naira.@ Jakumo It's easy to point out that flaw to me... You have no idea what i do for a living.. I am well aware of the fact my piloting skills will improve if i use a simulator.. But i can't afford an Fms simulator at the moment. And untill i can. Using a simulator will become a pipe-dream... Thanks though for the advice. |

I throttled it up,increasing the pitch slightly. The helicopter soared up higher into the sky... I had quite some hard time,trying to figure out the helicopter's little image,outline against the sky. So i could get my normal tail-in orientation hovering right.
