palamo:
I recently bought a youngnuo YN 560 iii flash for 20k.

I bought it in Aba a few weeks ago along with a Sigma 70-300 mm lens. its working very well. I'm even planning on getting another one soon. What I need now is a cheap 50 mm lens for Nikon cameras. Could not find any when I went to buy the flash.

Has anyone ever considered that some of these murders we attribute to ritualists are actually the work of psychopathic serial killers?

Food / Re: See What Was Killed In My Compound Yesterday Evening! by palamo(m): 11:30am On Sep 28, 2015
That is a Monitor Lizard. They are practically harmless to humans. They even help by killing and feeding on snakes and other harmful animals in the environment. Its such a pity that a remarkable animal can be slaughtered for food.

Health / Re: Pristine Muscles by palamo(m): 5:03pm On Sep 07, 2015
My brother, you are really an inspiration to all of us trying to transform our bodies after years of laxity and abuse. I have been working out for 6 months now, my muscles are firmer but I am far from having the physique of my dreams. What am I doing wrong? Must I use heavier weights? Or use lighter weights with more reps? Must I train till muscle failure with all sets? Please help me. I need all the info I can get to keep myself motivated. Thank you once again.

My brother, you really are talented. Seen some of your work on the Nikon page on facebook. Keep it up. How do you achieve your dark high contrast look in your street photos? How can I achieve it on photoshop? Really digging your visual style.

Politics / Re: Amaechi Accuses Wike Of Embezzling N3.5 Billion Rivers Money by palamo(m): 11:25am On Dec 22, 2014
It is just sad that we have no credible leaders in Rivers State that can effect the much needed change we all need. Wike's backing by Patience Jonathan can only portend to the chaos that might erupt once Wike is sworn in as governor. What can you expect from an administration that has empowered known militant criminals like Ateke Tom and Tompolo. God save Nigeria!
Politics / Re: Amaechi Accuses Wike Of Embezzling N3.5 Billion Rivers Money by palamo(m): 11:21am On Dec 22, 2014
Ameachi should stop fooling himself. He has not paid the salaries of government workers in Rivers State. Instead, he focuses more on politicking with state funds! He has lost popularity with the vast majority of rivers people with his distracted aloofness. Wike is no better, but he has ran a strong grassroots campaign.

Politics / Re: Is State Of Emergency The Best Option For Boko-Haram? by palamo(m): 7:47am On May 15, 2013
I believe that this is the best option for now. Amnesty can't be given to a fanatic who has no regard for even his own life! You can only fight terror with overwhelming force. These people have killed thousands, its time to up the ante.

Education / Re: 3rd Class Degree, Or No Degree At All: Which Is Better? by palamo(m): 4:41pm On Mar 09, 2013
Hello house, I made a 3rd class in a course that didn't offer any prospects in Nigeria (zoology). Today I work in a multinational oil company and get paid in $! Never had any godfathers to help me but I have been lucky and blessed by the grace of God. Try and stop looking at a 3rd class degree as a disadvantage but look at it as a second chance to make a 1st class in the outside world. We just have to try and work harder and be more diligent in our daily lifes but most importantly, never look down on ourselves! All a 3rd class does is prevents you from applying for some jobs that need a 2:1 or a first class it doesn't show how dumb or smart you are. Develop and discipline yourselves, put in a little more effort, PRAY hard and always be willing to learn and great things can happen to you. Many of us that made 3rd classes were thought of as dreamers but remember, the foundations of every society were laid by men that had dreams and chased them and not by those that buried their heads in books and crammed them full of things that won't be used at all in real life! In essence, be the best you can be from now on!

I really and deeply respect true men of God. But I abhor the sycophancy of their followers that make mockery of the message or values that these men represent and turn them into demigods. This billboard just screams of ass kissing of the highest order.

This was a long time coming. Imagine the lives that would have been spared from so much distress at the hands of these kidnappers if the government had declared a state of emergency earlier.
Computers / Empowerment Ideas by palamo(m): 10:22pm On Oct 31, 2008
Hello everyone,

I have a little issue that I'm facing right now. I just I turned 30 and just left a job that I worked in for 5 years, the problem is that I would like to know about careers that are marketable here in nigeria that one can do at his/her own pace e.g I.T, forex, consultancy services. I have realised that many people are stuck in jobs that they are not happy about but are afraid to leave because of the fear of making ends meet. This is a form of corporate slavery that keeps most of us in an endles vicious cycle of dependancy to our jobs. I feel that what nigeria needs is more people that can empower themselves and then empower others.
If anyone has any good ideas please share it with others using this forum. Most of us are young and educated, how long will you as an individual want to work for corporations that treat you as slaves before branching out on your own?
Ideas are the wheels that move a country forward!!
