at least you got to meet the doctor sef .. i never did ... he was always away , travelled or sick himself . perhaps i could recommend them for child birth as they have matrons and nurses , but not for fertility check , monitoring and the rest . till today , i never saw the doctor , just a junior female doctor who asked me the common questions and drew the diagram of a uterus for me ... as if i no go secondary school ...

My darling, i don't have any good review about MCH Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja ooo. If you read my past posts i complained about a Dr my DH took us to, that was a "go-slow" Dr, this was the hospital oo, i was referred to their Medical director and i would say i was not pleased at all, they were just collecting our money and gave us nothing in return, it was their MD that put me on clomi.d and didn't monitor or track my cycles, just said i should bd with dh o pari.

The man had this annoying behaviour of always asking you questions all over again everytime you visit, and i kept wondering if he never wrote down my profile everytime, how old are you? how long have you been ttc for? How long have you been married for? Have you ever been pregnant? etc.

I didn't quiet agree with him right from the onset, but i was ready to take any dr over none at all, like dh had always said.

and after just one unmonitored cycle of clomid, he recommded i go for IVF not even iui oo, and when i asked him about iui he said it is for those who experience premature ejacu/late

the part that pissed me off most was, i complained about recurrent infection, he gave me same drugs (mostly antibiotics) that i told him i had used over and over again with no solution, so i collected the drugs, decided in my mind to get treatment somewhere else and they refused to give me my hvs test result that it would be sent to the MD for treatment prescription, long story short that was the last time i visited the hospital. I ran as far as my legs could carry me and i told DH i was never going there.

in my opinion, it is a maternity and paediatric hospital not a fertility clinic

NB: for every visit you must pay consultation - even if it just for him to see test results without prescribing anything oo

Hello Mamas in the House. Today makes it 5weeks I had my Laparoscopy surgery at OAUTH to remove Ovarian Cyst. The cyst was discovered in Feb 2016 when I had an Ultrasound scan before taking Clomid. Since then, I've had my period but some pain and some digestive disturbances. After taking different remedies, I made up my mind to have a surgery(first in my life) this year after another ultrasound showed another cyst on the left ovary(although after the surgery the Dr told me it was just one on my right ovary but it was big and joined to the left ovary) and I was just tired as I was not ovulating and can't be stimulated. I decided to have a Lap because I couldn't get a month off work;I just got a new job, and I did not want to be cut open . I checked at Lasuth but was told they don't perform Lap surgery only diagnostic. Private hospital was not an option because of the cut throat prices. I started my investigation and came across Oauth website, got the contact(on the website) and went for consultation and afterwards the surgery. I thank God for how everything worked out. I was favoured and helped by God. Left the hospital by noon the next day back to Lagos( my Husband drove). Rrecovery was gradual and not too painful. A 43 yr old woman also had a myomectomy that same day and was already sitting before I left. .consultation holds on Mondays in Ife Oauth and on Thursdays at Wesley hospital in Ilesha, but the surgery holds in Ife Oauth. Total cost of the surgery I would say just budget like 100k(you probably won't spend more than 80k, but just factor in extra cost).
The only downside is the stress of govt hospital if you are used to private hospital, you might find this stressful and sometimes annoying....you just have to be patient.....very patient E.g payment of bills and dropping lab samples. The Drs were very professional and they seem very competent to me.....infact some of the complain some oyinbo pple complained of on the internet, I just had a short episode of those complaints . My incisions have healed and closed and On the way to full recovery. I thank God for a smooth, successful surgery and of course safe journey to Ife and back to Lagos. I either take 4-5 Serrapeptase together with 4 Wobenzyme or 4-5 Serrapeptase together with 2-3 nattokinase first thing in the morning on empty stomach and last thing at night few hours after dinner. I do take the Chinese teas 30mins b4 breakfast and take 2 woman best friend after meal morning and night with other supplements I'm using.

please try and do a blood test to be very sure . if its still negative then we know we just have to wait on AF or drag her come outside

with blocked tubes , pregnancy cannot be achieved until the tubes are cleared . we have a couple of mamas here that have gotten their tubes cleared with serrapeptase, xi xian can and yi mu cao ( both chinese herbal teas, and then the fertility castor oil massage . this combination is a must which you strictly have to adhere to for 3 months then you do a tubal flushing . if you read through the thread you'll see a lot of write ups and suggestions on tubal blockage . there is also another thread on nairaland mainly for tubal blockage . so please dear mama, don't think about serrapeptase and co " go into action , start taking them and commit the rest to God .

mean while still on the same tubal blockage matter , there is this woman on youtube i think her handle is Roperfamily2012 , she had blocked tube and she treated with serrapeptase , she just got her BFP a couple of days ago , I'm waiting for her to come up with her WIDD. that brought hope to me . and omg I'm not taking it easy on serrapeptase at all and No! there are no side effects with serrapeptase , though its usually advised that you start with low SPU at the beginning .... so to all the tube shey kini mamas , those tubes must surely clear o ... na God give us serrapetase , so our tubes must clear as far as God is concerned .

I hope gtc mamas that have conceived and suffered miscarriage have tried getting the reasons why they miscarried. This is very important . I heard miscarriage can be caused by infection, fibroid, hormone issues, DNA issue of sperm among others. I also heard of weak cervix.

A friend told me that anytime she conceives, her cervix is tied to avoid miscarriage. It is untied around the period she is to put to bed. Abeg our sabi mamas should put mouth so that we can learn.

it depends on you really ... there is no overdose with serrapeptase , if its 120spu , it says 1 tablet per day . but for me some people increase theirs to 240 spu(2 capsules a day ) some people 360, 480, 600, i personally do 4 tablets in the morning and 4, at night thats is 960spu some people do more , they just pop and go. so it really depends on what you can and can afford ... most people will also say you can start with 2 tablets and see how your system reacts and then you can gradually increase . i pray you all the best.

I'm currently on those o, as for the retroverted uterus , it actually has a very sharp u curve , which is what the ivf doctors were complaining about ... I'm just surprised their heads didn't tell them its a retroverted uterus , they just kept poking until blood started coming out .the retroverted uterus is actually very curved not like the other mild cases

There is nothing wrong with retroverted uterus. U can conceive with that. My result changed from retroverted to anteverted uterus and I was told womb position can change at intervals.

I will advise you get a second opinion on the bilateral tubal blockage since you are not convinced on this result. U can follow other mamas remedy here which include the Chinese teas(yimu cao) , seraptase enzyme,castor oil massage , clean point tampoon etc. It has been discussed severally on the thread.

pls mamas in the house , can someone explain to me what da heck is a retroflexive uterus oooo!!! there is nothing i won't hear unto ttc matter . so i went to do HSG yesterday and my xtray is showing a uterus that is upside down ( which explains why 2 cycles if ivf didn't work , which also explains why doctors were poking the hell out of the poor uterus telling me that their father's cervix was tight and had cervical stenosis) compared to the last msg i did in 2014 ...
i got my result today and they are telling me bilateral blockage even when i can see dye pouring out from one tube ... the only thing i find odd is the summersaulting uterus ( i found this out by comparing my result with similar ones online)
i have even decided not to consult doctors again , most of them don't even know jack...just to collect money

@the mama whose dh has low drive. Maca root is the answer.

Hubby drinks almost any supplement I keep in the house. After treating staph, he started building his sperm with fertileaid, vit a, vit c,manix , bco, folic acid, omega369. He saw the maca I kept, he drank. He saw the glutathione I kept ( stopped using this after out wedding though).

When he started having unusual sex drive, he started suspecting glutathione or maca cos it started when he added it to his combo. At the end of the day, it was found to be maca.

Dh started recommending maca to his friends ooo. Infact one of his friends with extremely low drive took maca and nearly had sex in the office. The guy stopped taking it. Hubby said he will be going on the road and have erection when he least expect it.

Hubby's friend said he will stop taking it as it is an enhancer. But I told hubby its just a root. Ours has finished and I don't intend to buy again.
