Foreign AffairsTrump To Meet With Pakistan Army Chief At White House Wednesday, by panafrican(op): 4:32am On Jun 18, 2025
(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump will meet with Pakistan’s army chief on his first official visit to the US since intense clashes broke out

earlier this year near the Pakistan-India border, ending in a US-brokered ceasefire between Islamabad and New Delhi.

The lunch meeting between Trump and Pakistan’s Asim Munir is scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. Washington time Wednesday, in the White
|
House Cabinet Room, according to the president’s daily public schedule.

The Pakistani military leader is also expected to meet with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on his US

trip, media in the south Asian country reported.

The latest conflict between the two regional rivals was touched off by a deadly attack on tourists by gunmen who killed 26 civilians in Indian

Kashmir on April 22. New Delhi called the massacre an act of terrorism orchestrated by Pakistan. Leaders in Islamabad have denied

involvement.

A meeting between Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had been anticipated at the Group of Seven summit in Canada this

week as their two countries negotiate a new trade accord.

We might be next when AFRICOM, French military bases , UK military bases, etc. refuse to

leave African countries.

What happened in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger where western military bases were kicked

out is not the end of the story, because they might come back by force , using the very same methods

Israel is using in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon and Iran,

Who would help us ? No-one, not the former slave masters who enriched themselves

from the hellish ordeal they imposed upon us over the past six centuries.

What types of defense system do we have ? , zero, none, nada.

Still they will be some nairalanders here saying defense is not a priority, we need to

find food and jobs for our population.

Very funny because too many people in Africa don't want to read the weather forecast.

They wait until the storm hits before looking for shelters or thinking about building shelters.
Foreign AffairsRe: 5 African Countries That Retained Their Colonial Names by panafrican(m): 7:04pm On Jun 16, 2025
In early 1959, the Sudanese Republic and Senegal formed the Federation of Mali. On March 31, 1960, France agreed to grant the Federation of Mali full independence. On June 20, 1960, the Federation of Mali became an independent nation, with Modibo Keïta as its first president.
What you did say is the name Mali was chosen by Leopold Cedar Senghor , a Senegalese political figure who would later become
president of Senegal when the Mali federation was disbanded.
So Mali is NOT a colonial name because it was chosen by Africans eager to perpetuate the memories of
the Mali empire that predates colonial times. Mali was already powerful in the 13 century long before French colonization.
The same way Nkrumah chose Ghana instead of Gold Coast, to keep the memories of the Ghana empire

Secondly,
You did not mention a country that is renowned in West Africa for its colonial name
that country is Ivory Coast ( Cote d'Ivoire ).

Any African who writes about African country colonial names knows these basic things.

A nation that stole enriched

Here is how :
"
PEMBUNUHAN JFK DAN NUKLIR ISRAEL
In the 1960s, up to 600 pounds of highly enriched uranium went missing from a plant in Apollo, Pennsylvania — enough to build dozens of nuclear bombs.

The company? NUMEC (Nuclear Materials & Equipment Corporation).

Its founder? Zalman Shapiro, a leading Zionist with deep ties to Israel.

Investigations by the FBI, CIA, and Atomic Energy Commission went nowhere — but declassified reports later concluded the uranium was

likely stolen and sent to Israel. Israeli “scientists” — actually intelligence agents — had been spotted at NUMEC under suspicious circumstances.

And where did that uranium go?

To Dimona — Israel’s secret nuclear site in the Negev Desert.

In 1963, President John F. Kennedy was alarmed. He demanded full transparency and U.S. inspections.

Israeli PM Ben-Gurion stalled and then resigned. His successor did the same.

Eventually, Israel banned all inspections and told the U.S. to back off.

After JFK’s assassination, no U.S. president ever challenged Israel’s nuclear ambitions again.

The ideal that African nations can do business among themselves without looking for outside nations to trade with is naive, foolish and dangerous.
African nations produce similar goods and import very similar products hence internal trading is of very little value.
Intensifying continental trade is a now a threat to somebody. Does Nigeria need to import wheat and rice from outside of the continent?
Do Africans need to buy shoes, ties, pants and T-shirts from UK, France, USA, Spain etc ?
1.4 billion people in Africa cannot make computers . computer chips and car engines ?
If we have viable continental railroad and paved road network, enable to travel from one part of Africa to another part in less than

Foreign AffairsToo Little Too Late : Nigeria Pardons Ken Saro-wiwa 30 Years After Execution by panafrican(op): 6:12am On Jun 14, 2025
There should be reparations paid to the families of the FALLEN and people involved in the manslaughter should be prosecuted.

Nigeria pardons activist Ken Saro-Wiwa 30 years after execution

Nigeria's president has pardoned the late activist Ken Saro-Wiwa, 30 years after his execution sparked global outrage.

Along with eight other campaigners, Mr Saro-Wiwa was convicted of murder, then hanged in 1995 by the then-military regime.

Many believed the activists were being punished for leading protests against the operations of oil multinationals, particularly Shell, in Nigeria's Ogoniland. Shell has long denied any involvement in the executions.

Though the pardons have been welcomed, some activists and relatives say they do not go far enough.

As well as issuing the pardons on Thursday, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu bestowed national honours on Mr Saro-Wiwa and his fellow campaigners, who were known as the Ogoni Nine.

The nine men - Mr Saro-Wiwa, Barinem Kiobel, John Kpuinen, Baribor Bera, Felix Nuate, Paul Levula, Saturday Dobee, Nordu Eawo and Daniel Gbokoo - were among dozens who received the honours as part of Nigeria's annual Democracy Day.

Tinubu said the accolades recognised "heroes" who had made "outstanding contributions " to the nation's democracy.

Unveiling Africa's Hidden History: 5 Groundbreaking Discoveries

For centuries, the rich and diverse history of Africa has been overlooked, undervalued, and often intentionally distorted. However, recent archaeological and historical findings have shattered these misconceptions, revealing a continent with a profound and fascinating past.
Here are 5 remarkable discoveries that showcase Africa's significant contributions to human history:
1. The Cradle of Humanity: Africa is the birthplace of humanity, with the oldest known skeletal remains of anatomically modern humans discovered in East Africa, dating back to 195,000 years.

2. Prehuman Origins: Prehuman skeletons found in Africa date back an astonishing 4-5 million years, with the oldest known ancestral type of mankind, Australopithecus ramidus, living around 4.4 million years ago.

3. Pioneers of Fishing: Africans were the first to organize fishing expeditions, with evidence of finely crafted harpoon tips and daggers discovered in Katanda, Congo, dating back to 90,000 years ago.

4. Mining and Innovation: The oldest known mine in the world was discovered in Swaziland, dating back to 43,000 years ago. This ancient mine showcases the ingenuity and innovative spirit of Africa's ancestors.

5. Mathematical Pioneers: The Ishango bone, discovered in Congo, is a tool handle with engraved notches that demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of arithmetic, dating back to 25,000 years ago.

These discoveries not only rewrite the history books but also underscore the significant contributions Africa has made to human civilization. It is essential that we continue to uncover and celebrate Africa's rich cultural heritage, challenging the misconceptions of the past and inspiring a new generation of scholars, historians, and enthusiasts.

Israel and Ukraine: Two potential threats to Africa.
We Africans better build a continental army equipped with at least 10 million nukes, 10 million combat tanks, 10 million warplanes , 10 million combat helicos, 10 million drones and 10 million conventional intercontinental ballistic missiles.
When you see what happened in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and what is going on right now in Iran, you understand all those wars are not about religion, it is about land grab , it is about an all-out expansion.
After Iran, Egypt will be next, then the Democratic Republic of the Congo ( to steal wealth there ), then Nigeria, then South Africa etc.
Ukraine will surely be happy to be part of that attack as the Ukranian leadership is willing to remain of the European's payroll against Africa.

Liberia's ex-speaker charged with arson over parliament fire

Liberia's former speaker of parliament has been charged with arson over a fire which destroyed the nation's House of Representatives, local police have said.

The huge blaze broke out last December, a day after plans to remove Jonathan Fonati Koffa from his role as speaker sparked protests in the capital, Monrovia.

Koffa had been locked in a stand-off with his political opponents, with dozens of lawmakers voting for his impeachment in October over accusations of poor governance, corruption and conflicts of interest.

He has previously denied any connection to the fire breaking out.

Police said on Friday that there were "credible links" to suggest Koffa was "strategically involved" in the incident. Five other lawmakers have also been detained in connection with the case.

Police chief Gregory Colman said Koffa had been charged with a string of offences including arson, criminal mischief, endangering other people, and attempted murder.

Colman said Koffa had used his office and staff "to co-ordinate sabotage efforts from as early as November 2023", according to news agency AFP.

Koffa and several other lawmakers were summoned to the Liberian National Police headquarters on Friday as "persons of interest" in the case, local media reports.

The former speaker and three sitting members of the House of Representatives were then remanded to Monrovia Central Prison on Saturday, newspaper FrontPage Africa reported.

The blaze on 18 December 2024 destroyed the entire jjavascript:void(0);oint chambers of the West African nation's legislature. No one was inside the building at the time.

The day before had seen tense protests over the plans to remove Koffa, with demonstrators including an aide to former President George Weah arrested.

Several individuals, including Koffa and Representative Frank Saah Foko, were brought in for questioning by police.

Foko, a prominent figure in the House of Representatives, allegedly uploaded a video to Facebook in which he said: "If they want us to burn the chambers, we will burn it."

Trump threatens Elon Musk with ‘very serious consequences’ if he bankrolls Democrats in future elections
Story by Josh Christenson • 3h
WASHINGTON — President Trump warned Saturday that his former ally Elon Musk will face “very serious consequences” if he starts bankrolling Democratic candidates for office, while adding that it’s “a shame that he’s so depressed and so heartbroken.”
“If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that,” Trump told NBC News’ Kristin Welker in a phone interview Saturday.
“He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that,” the president added, without specifying.
“Is there anything else you just want people to know about the status,” Welker asked.
“No, not at all. We’re doing great,” Trump replied. “The bill is great. It looks like we’re going to get it passed. Looks strongly like we’re going to get it passed.”
Trump said he was “very confident” that the bill would get passed by July 4.
Musk knocked Trump during a multi-day X tirade over the debt increases contained in the “big beautiful bill” earlier this week and said without his hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions, the president would never have been re-elected in 2024.
He also claimed credit for delivering the GOP a 53-47 majority in the Senate and holding onto its majority in the House.
The Tesla and SpaceX billionaire contributed more than a quarter of a billion dollars to Republican candidates in the 2024 cycle, federal campaign filings show.
