Foreign AffairsNigerian Opposition Leader Says He Will Serve One-term Presidency, African News. by panafrican(op): 4:01pm On Aug 05, 2025
Can Africa trust Obi ?
We know some presidents such as Allassane Outtara of Ivory Coast, played game with their countries fundamental law ( The constitution).
Ouattara promised to run for one term, then it became two terms, then he changed the constitution allowing him
him to run for a 3rd term, saying it was the first term of the 3rd Republic ! Now he is running for a 4th term.
Note: Ouattara is an illegal immigrant from Burkina Faso, he hijacked the Ivory citizenship thanks to the barrels French soldiers who put him in power in 2010 through a rebellion that killed more than 250 000 people

In Senegal , Macky Sall also tried to run for a 3rd term , It took months of riots and scores of dead young people
for him to withdraw.

One of Nigeria’s main opposition leaders, Peter Obi, has come under fire for reaffirming his vow to serve only one 4-year term if elected president in 2027.

In a post on X on Sunday, he said "longevity in office is not a mark of success" citing several prominent global figures, including South Africa’s Nelson Mandela.
Obi said great leadership was not measured by the length of years in office but by the quality and impact of services offered to the people.

But his comments have not gone down well with the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) and a faction of his party.

The Labour party leadership described Obi’s vow as “political theatrics” while the APC said his promise was insincere and just a ploy to woo voters.

Acknowledging that decades of unfilled pledges had made Nigerians sceptical towards political promises, Ovi assured people his declaration was not a political gimmick.

He said his record as governor of Anambra State showed he had fulfilled his campaign commitments on education, healthcare, rural infrastructure, and financial prudence.

Foreign AffairsNigeria And the DRC , Two Countries With A Weak African Diplomacy. by panafrican(op): 6:58pm On Aug 03, 2025
The African Union Headquarter should be in the Democratic Republic of Congo , a country almost equidistant from north, south , east and west Africa.

The Pan-African Parliament located in South Africa should be in Nigeria.

Unfortunately the two countries ( Nigeria and the DRC ) are not aggressive enough on the continental
stage despite their wealth , manpower and geographic assets. Lost opportunity.
Ethiopia and South Africa are too far from the rest of the continent, let this sink in.

BlackViper:
You mean the Eduardo Dos Santos who spent his entire career enriching himself and his family, is still considered a hero?
His entire career ? Many of us have short memories in Africa. Do you even know how Dos santos's leadership
Angola saved southern Africa and central Africa? Unita and its master ( the Apartheid regime ) were expanding.
Many you are a former Unita militia guy.

Decades of war against criminal Unita . All the heroism President Dos Santos, that great African cannot be
wiped out by the political ambitions of Lourenço , an incompetent president who refuses to focus on the
starving masses in urban and remote areas of Angola.

What has he done since he came into office beside talking about Isabela Santos and tarnishing
President Dos Santos 's legacy? Nothing !

Can Lourenço tell us no-one in his inner circle is rich today?
Can he show the tax return of his relatives before and after he took office?
He become president of Angola in September 2017 almost 8 years now, that is two presidential terms in
Nigeria. Why are people still being killed when they protest about the high cost of living ?

Facts .
Just to name a few:
Under president Santos's leadership, Unita and South Africa were defeated at Cuito Cuanavale.
Savimbi the traitor was neutralized and peace returned to Angola after years of a deadly conflict.
Angola built roads , schools, Universities . Hospitals despite a costly war.
Angola along with Zimbabwe saved millions of lives in the DRC ( then Zaire ) in the
mid-1990s when Rwanda backed rebels were about to take over Kinshasa.

Foreign AffairsUnrest In Angola: Incompetent João Lourenço Did Not See The Tsunami Coming. by panafrican(op):
João Lourenço took over after Pan-Africanist president and war hero Eduardo Dos Santos voluntarily retired .
Instead of making a difference and innovating on road infrastructure and investing in improving people's daily life, Lourenço
used most of his time harassing the family of his predecessor. He seized Dos Santos family assets, and destroyed some of
Isabel dos Santos ( a daughter of the former president) businesses.
In the meantime life was becoming unbearable under the new regime.
Now things are out of control, that incompetent and hate -driven fool got a slap in the face with
protests mounting in every parts of Angola.
Marjorie Taylor Greene becomes first MAGA Republican to call Israel's assault on Gaza a "genocide"
Story by Rey Harris • 19h •
2 min read

On Monday, the Georgia representative shared an X post admonishing Florida Rep. Randy Fines – who has made a habit of sharing derogatory posts about Palestinians and recently cheered on reports of people starving to death amid Israel's assault on Gaza.

MTG rebuked his remarks and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people.

It's the most truthful and easiest thing to say that [the October 7 Hamas attacks] in Israel was horrific, and all hostages must be returned, but so is the genocide, humanitarian crisis, and starvation happening in Gaza," MTG wrote.

"But a Jewish US Representative calling for the continued starvation of innocent people and children is disgraceful. His awful statement will actually cause more antisemitism," she added.

Greene has consistently pushed her "America First" ideals, arguing that the US should not be funding wars overseas or sending foreign aid while there are significant problems at home that need to be addressed.

Earlier this month, Greene voted alongside progressive Democrat Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar to cut $500 million that the US has sent to Israel, but the measure was rejected by the Republican-majority Congress in a 422-6 vote.

The world today is divided into three parts.

Part 1: The Civilized world. Those ones are saying they will not be distracted or misled
by the self-styled ' God's Chosen people' for the latter are nothing else but demonic
criminals, blood -thirsty liars , land -theft advocates, who believe the whole world should support the high-scaled crime against humanity in Gaza.
The Civilized World is saying this : Palestinians are humans just like everyone of us, they ARE also GOD CHOSEN PEOPLE.

Part 2: The uninformed, who don't know about the genocide in
Palestine under the racist, theocratic erratic, blood-handed regime
of Israel.

Part 3 The uncivilized world made of criminals, liars, genocide -driven , blood-thirsty and hatred driven murderers , who are having fun killing the Palestinians by the
thousands every day and bolstering their crimes against humanity.
They clap their hands when Netanyahu is killing babies.

Foreign AffairsMost Powerful Passport : Singapore Is Keeping The Lead by panafrican(op): 6:02pm On Jul 28, 2025
When are African passports going to take the lead?
Singapore still holds the world's most powerful passport, allowing its citizens to travel to 193 out of 227 countries without a visa or by getting one at the airport. But how is Africa doing? According to the latest Henley Passport Index, Seychelles leads the continent with access to 156 countries, followed by Mauritius (149) and South Africa (103). Kenya, Ghana, and Malawi fall in the middle, with access to around 70 countries. At the bottom are Nigeria, Sudan, Eritrea, and Somalia, whose passports allow travel to fewer than 40 destinations. The index is based on data from the International Air Transport Association and tracks how easy or hard it is for passport holders to travel the world.

Why on earth is every U.S. president submitting to the foolishness and the

Why is Trump letting himself being an accomplice in the genocide that is happening

Foreign AffairsIran President Was Reportedly Injured In Israeli Strikes, BBC by panafrican(op):
Iran 's president narrowly escaped during Israeli strikes.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian was reportedly slightly injured during one of Israel's attacks on Iran last month.

Iran's state Fars news agency, close to the revolutionary guard, says that on 16 June, six bombs targeted both access and entry points of a secret underground facility in Tehran where Pezeshkian was attending an emergency meeting of the Supreme National Security Council.

The president is said to have suffered leg injuries as he and others escaped through an emergency shaft. Iran is now reported to be following leads of infiltration by Israeli agents.

The Fars report has not been independently verified. Israel has not publicly commented on the report.

Videos posted on social media during the 12-day war showed repeated strikes against a mountain side in north-western Tehran.

Now it has emerged that the strikes on the fourth day of war targeted a secret underground facility in Tehran where Iran's top leaders were at the time.

The Fars news agency report says the Israeli strikes blocked all the six entry and exit points, and also the ventilation system.

The electricity to the facility was also cut off - but Pezeshkian managed to reach safety.

The Supreme National Security Council is Iran's top decision-making body after Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Last week, Pezeshkian accused Israel of trying to kill him - a claim denied by Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz.

Foreign AffairsWhich Company Or Individual Founded Which Colony European Colony In Africa? by panafrican(op): 12:50am On Jul 13, 2025
Which individual or company founded which European colony in African ?

Founding of some U.S. Colonies.

Several [U.S. ] colonies were established by joint-stock companies, including Virginia

and Massachusetts, which were initially founded by the London Company and the

Plymouth Company respectively. The Dutch West India Company also played a role

in establishing colonies like New York and Delaware. Additionally, individual proprietors

like Lord Baltimore (Maryland) and John Mason (New Hampshire) were instrumental
in establishing proprietary colonies.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Virginia: Established by the Virginia Company (also known as the London Company) in 1607,
with the primary goal of economic gain.

The Virginia Company was a joint-stock company, meaning it was funded by investors who
hoped to profit from the colony's resources
.

Massachusetts: Initially established as the Plymouth Colony by the Plymouth Company
(also a joint-stock company) in 1620.
Later, after the Plymouth colony was abandoned, the Massachusetts-Bay Company
founded the Massachusetts colony in 1630.

New Hampshire: Founded by John Mason.

Maryland: Founded by Lord Baltimore.

New York and Delaware: Were originally colonies of the Dutch West India Company.
Connecticut and Rhode Island: Were established as corporate colonies,
with the intention of self-governance.

Pennsylvania: Was established as a proprietary colony by William Penn,
who was granted a charter by the English Crown.

Georgia: Was founded as a proprietary colony in 1732 by James Oglethorpe and
a group of trustees, with the intention of creating a buffer between the British
colonies and Spanish Florida.

Story by Tom Levitt

Saudi Arabia has carried out a “horrifying” number of executions for drug crimes over the past decade, most of which were of foreign nationals, according to Amnesty International.

Almost 600 people have been executed over the past decade for drug-related offences, Amnesty International has found, three-quarters of whom were foreign nationals from countries including Pakistan, Syria, Yemen, Nigeria and Egypt.

After a temporary moratorium on drug-related capital punishments between 2021 and 2022, the executions jumped to record levels, with 122 in 2024 and 118 so far this year up until the end of last month.
