Phones / Re: NCC To Telecom Operators: All SIMs not linked To NIN Must Be Blocked Today by panpan(m): 8:22pm On Feb 28
The purpose of National Identification Number (NIN) linkage to sims is not to track terrorists and kidnappers, even though it can be used for that.

The purpose for the NIN linkage to sims is for control. The NIN issue was imposed by an international gruop for the purpose of control, with Nigeria being used as a test case.

Has the World Bank played a role in funding the NIN project?
Well, the World Bank has provided loans to the federal government for the NIN project.

Crime / Re: EFCC Arrests 115 Abokis In Enugu And Collects N110m, $8368 by panpan(m): 11:11pm On Feb 22
What was the purpose of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) going after bureau de change (BDC) operators?

The law of demand and supply will always take its course.
The fundamental question is this: Who is expected to be the primary source of foreign currency transactions to the public?
It is the banks.

The Central Bank sells dollars in bulk to the commercial banks. However, the foreign currency transactions are not provided directly by the banks. A bank customer has to purchase foreign currency from outside the bank, before he can make a deposit for an international transaction.

As for the allegations of currency speculation, the federal government previously made a decision to float the naira. They have got their wish.

Politics / Re: This Is The Most CREDIBLE Explanation I've Seen For The Naira Fall. (vid) by panpan(m): 1:29am On Feb 21
One of the major causes of the fall of the naira is external borrowing.

When the federal government takes external loans, they are indirectly taking money from the Nigerian population through naira devaluation, increase in the price of petroleum products, and general inflation.

The Supreme Court has held that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) does not have the powers to prosecute offenses that are not corruption cases and that the only corruption cases it can investigate are cases involving the movement of cash from Nigeria to foreign countries and corruption cases involving federal finances, being a creation of federal law.

EFCC should not arrest anybody unless the allegation is about "illicit financial outflow from Nigeria", or "corruption cases involving federal finances".

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) should state the charges in naira.
The FCTA should respect the national currency.

I am sure that the FCTA equivalent in the United Kingdom (UK), for example, state their charges to Embassies and High Commissions in UK pounds.

The Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN) is just a tool to control nations under the guise of "human rights".
The Human Rights Council is not really concerned about death penalty in Nigeria; they are just trying to see how far they can bully nations into submission, using Nigeria as a test case.
