CareerRe: Everything To Know About Nobel Prizes 2025 by panpan(m): 7:59pm On Oct 06, 2025
The nomination process is designed to preserve secrecy and independence. Each year, the Nobel committees invite selected experts, past winners and academics to submit nominations by January 31.
Hmm! So in 2009, after eleven days as United States president, he had already been nominated for the Nobel Prize for peace.
It appears the Nobel Prize for peace lost its true meaning that year.

PoliticsRe: Interior Minister Lauded Over Passport Reforms, Border Security by panpan(m):
On the passport issue, there is still room for improvement.
Asking a passport applicant to come for capturing two weeks after online processing is not cool.
Giving the applicant a date for passport collection, which happens to be twelve weeks after capturing is somehow.

I never knew that onions are poisonous to dogs.
Thanks for that piece of information.
But what about the leftovers, which may include onion soups and stews, that people sometimes give to their dogs. Are our local dogs exempted from this danger?

AgricultureRe: Kwara Farmers Cry Out As Terror Attacks Cripple Farms by panpan(m): 10:13pm On Oct 03, 2025
There is definitely a foreign or international group sponsoring the attacks of farms and rural communities across the country.
These attacks have been designed to create a food scarcity crisis in the country.
The federal government should see these attacks as an act of war against the general population of Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: 411% Revenue Rise Won’t Stop FG Borrowing – FIRS by panpan(m): 8:18am On Sep 24, 2025
huh
All foreign loans should stop.
It appears as if there are a few people in the federal government, and the lending institutions who get commissions from these loans.
When the federal government takes external loans, they indirectly take money from the general Nigerian population through naira devaluation, multiple/increased taxation, and excessive inflation.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) should be dissolved. The laws enabling EFCC should be repealed.
Arresting people who own "luxury cars, smartphones and high-end laptop computers", and people involved in the spraying of naira notes does not justify EFCC's existence.
In summary, EFCC is of no benefit to the general Nigerian population.
TravelRe: Visa Fees Are Non-refundable, US Embassy Clarifies Policy by panpan(m): 7:07am On Sep 17, 2025
It appears as if the United States embassy and consulates are being maintained by visa application fees. As long as the money keeps flowing in, they will continue this mode of operation. Who would reject a "business" of making over N150m each working day?

What can we do?

If a foreign entity snubs you, you may snub them back. Only apply for a US visa if it is very important to you and there is no other option. Boycott the US visa application if possible.

Consider the US visa application as a gamble; only pay the application fees with money that you can afford to lose (in other words, money that you do not need for anything else).

The general public should be sensitized against wasting hard-earned money on a foreign entity, especially when there is no positive result.
