Politics / Re: How Come Naira Is Falling And Yet Other Countries Currency Are Not? by panpan(m): 11:51am On Oct 25, 2023 |
One of the major causes of the fall of the naira is external borrowing. During Sani Abacha's rule from 1993 to 1998, there was some reduction in Nigeria's external debt. The naira remained relatively stable. During Obasanjo's second term as president from 2003 to 2007, the minister of finance successfully negotiated debt relief. For a brief period, the naira appreciated. 8 Likes |
Politics / Re: President Tinubu Urges Town Planners To Mitigate Effects Of Climate Change by panpan(m): 7:58am On Oct 25, 2023 |
Climate change may have its science, but it has become more of a propaganda tool by certain international groups who want to use the issue to control nations. What has been going on in a few places around the world has been more of geological manipulation and climate control. Unfortunately, the federal government has submitted to this climate change propaganda. |

I thought that there is supposed to be a date limit for appeals; for example, within 30 days after judgment is given. Why did Professional Standards Authority (PSA) wait for the doctor to almost finish serving the suspension of six months before filing an appeal? |

External borrowing by the federal government is a major cause of the fall of the naira. This external borrowing, especially just for the purpose of consumption, should stop. |

Politics / Re: How We Arrested Two Internet Fraudsters In Skales’ House – EFCC by panpan(m): 4:59pm On Oct 10, 2023 |
The Supreme Court has held that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) does not have the powers to prosecute offenses that are not corruption cases and that the only corruption cases it can investigate are cases involving the movement of cash from Nigeria to foreign countries and corruption cases involving federal finances, being a creation of federal law. EFCC should not arrest anybody unless the allegation is about "illicit financial outflow from Nigeria", or "corruption cases involving federal finances". EFCC should stop harassing a particular group of young men just because they appear to be doing well financially. 1 Like 1 Share |

Nigeria should find a way of dissociating itself from the World Bank. "World Bank" is just a name. The World Bank does not care for the world. The World Bank gives conditions or advice that are in the interest of the United States. |
