There was even a gunshot.

Politics / Re: Naira Redomination: How True Is This News? by panpan(m): 12:17am On Sep 28, 2023
Redenomination was considered in 2007 or 2008, but it was resisted and was not implemented.
Controlling inflation and preventing devaluation is more important than redenomination.

Reintroducing coins is as good as eliminating the affected currency unit(s).
Generally, it appears as if Nigerians do not like using coins.
In addition, the Central Bank has a habit of producing and releasing only the first batch of coins. Afterwards, coin production and release stops, and eventually the coins fade out from circulation, thereby removing that currency unit.

Instead of reintroducing coins, the polymer notes should continue.

YourBestWriter:
Sincerely, I see the work of a mortician as slightly similar to that of a soldier. And my intention is clear, big monthly salary. ...

Your intentions may be clear. A mortician's job is legitimate, regardless of public opinion.
Every job has its challenges.

However, in an African setting, certain issues, behind closed doors, may come up which you may prepare yourself for:
- Some people may seek your permission to have intercourse with bodies and pay you.
- You may be asked not to throw away the bath water, but to collect it in a large container and sell it on a daily basis.

Politics / Re: Ogun To Enact Law Pronouncing Death Penalty On Cultists – Governor Abiodun by panpan(m): 8:55am On Sep 21, 2023
In the first place, what does cultist or cultism mean?
There probably isn't any clear definition?

As some have stated on this thread, the police can just raid any gathering of people and tag them as "cultists". A young man may be stopped by the police, and if he does not "settle them", he can be framed up as a "cultist".

Crime / Re: EFCC Declares Faith, Emmanuel Onoja, Rufus John Isip Wanted by panpan(m): 10:30pm On Sep 20, 2023
The Supreme Court has held that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) does not have the powers to prosecute offenses that are not corruption cases and that the only corruption cases it can investigate are cases involving the movement of cash from Nigeria to foreign countries and corruption cases involving federal finances, being a creation of federal law.

EFCC should not declare anybody wanted unless the allegation is about "illicit financial outflow from Nigeria", or "corruption cases involving federal finances".

I don't understand this metering burden.
Did any private person or business get their meter for free?

And speaking of the World Bank; the World Bank does not give support. The World Bank gives loans.

The "climate change" issue may have its science, but it has become more of a propaganda tool, by certain international groups who want to use the issue to control nations.
What has been going on in a few places around the world has been more of geological manipulation and climate control.

Unfortunately, the federal government has submitted to this climate change propaganda.

You may send a message like this:

Good day Sir/Madam.
Please, do not send me daily or recurrent messages from the same source.

Alternatively, you may talk to the person on phone.
Let the person know that it is not the content of the message that is the issue, but that you do not want unsolicited automated messages sent to your phone.

If the messages are from a particular source (and they usually are), tell the person that you can check the source for yourself if you want to.
If you can check the source for yourself, then the automated messages are not necessary.

If there is a garnishee order, it should be in writing.
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) should know who gave the order, and who is the beneficiary of that order.

One of Southern Cameroon's greatest mistakes was choosing to join La République du Cameroun instead of Nigeria in the 1961 plebiscite.

Nigeria may have its issues, but Southern Cameroonians certainly would not have been harassed in the present manner if their region had become part of Nigeria.

Even if the reasons are correct, the "Don't come to the UK" adviser would be more convincing after he leaves the United Kingdom.
