Add her to that list Pastor says Priests bring to church for their priestly ministry ok!

I was just a bit puzzled that more priority is given to healing and miracle programmes rather than letting people know that being saved is the priority.

I don't know if someone has answered this questioning properly, but let me do that. I will not underemphasize the importance of preaching the gospel of Jesus.

I want to ask you this question: If I came preaching Jesus to you while you were a sinner and you were so poor and wretched and I told you there was hope for you in Jesus and I looked almost as tartared as you, would you accept that same Jesus?

Jesus said: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. Luke10:9 Notice that healing, came before announcing the kingdom of God - WHY? Jesus understands our emotions and how they work 'cos he was a man like us; so he knows it's important to attract a man with the hope he desires and then show him the way to that hope. That's the beauty and wisdom of God - Doing things in common ways that we may find improper.

As Layi put it:

An important question though, would Jesus and/or the Holy Spirit know what spirit a person is operating on?

If yes then why not simply ask Him into your life! The world is full of different kinds of people who could be deceitful with whatsoever power they use, but with Jesus, you know you're secure! 1cor1:30 says He's personally taken upon Himself the
task of your being wise. Why don't you taste of Him and see how good He is!?

Guys (the of y'all) should get connected with this move of the Spirit in our day. It's the very last opportunity and only those who're involved will take over the world. Whether you believe in the prophecies of Pastor Chris or not, let me break it to you that even in churches that you don't know that are in Northern Nigeria, there have been similar prophecies years ago. That should tell you that we're in the day of the manifestation of these words and I have personally packed my bags! I'm ready and in the fullness and the fire - mingled and Shining my way through! There ain't no stopping me and the Holy Ghost!

It hasn't occured to many that the man of God placed over you is not just a shepherd but also a father. Would you have
made that same accusation to guys you hear giving beautiful quotes by their fathers and other mentors?

Common folks! these are not secular mentors, these are men of God! If you don't fear them, don't you fear God before you
make such comments? If you can't respect the Pastors on earth which you call and see as "common men" which God placed
there for you, how do you show God that you'd really have respected Him if He were physically present on earth,

These comments and attitudes we show concerning men of God are physical actions that show our hearts which God sees!

I don't say that every "Pastor" is right or sent, but every MAN OF GOD! You've got to know the difference:
The bible seperates "Jesus of Nazareth, [as] a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know"Acts2:22

Nigeria has to learn a lot spiritually. Who says pastors in America don't have worse scandals? But is this how they respond?

Kimba, Well said! I applaud you, however I must give you very strong and sound advice for leaders, if you want to pass a message across to followers(or listeners), here's the simple trick: Keep it short, Keep it simple! But you had beautiful and sound words, ok!

Deeper Life's a church as far as they preach the word, praise God. Truth is this, I won't attend there except I'm instructed by the HolySpirit because there's too many rules and Brother Paul in the book of Acts STRONGLY suggests that ", the law entered, that the offence[sin] might abound, " Romans 5:20 and if your sin quickly abound(is revealed) thanks laws everywhere and for everything, then there's condemnation almost everytime which Romans12:1 speaks against.

But THANK GOD! Romans 7:6 says ", But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held, "
It also says "Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ, " NOTE: It mentions THROUGH THE BODY OF CHRIST - and that's the church

That's Proverbs 23:23. Think of it, if sermons were not in sale in the US and there were no offerings, the church wouldn't have money to carry out stuff.

I'd like to talk a little 'bout this. You know Duncan really put up something good that I have gotten tremendeous results from. You should try it - really! Besides the fact that it's good, it's the CHEAPEST AND EASIEST means to solving your problem. Let me explain myself a little. When you buy a computer with a Windows XP operating system, it's not going to be wise of you to read the manual of a Linux Ubuntu and think you'll get your windows Xp working perfectly. So why go after Linux manual if you're using a Windows. You're a human being created by God, why try manuals of human beings when the very ONE that made you has given a manual and His services FREE OF CHARGE!? (I'm talking about the Bible if you didn't get that). I believe that's the wisest thing to do. And Duncan here has flipped for you to one of the best pages of the manual that take care of your situation, for FREE! common, don't you hear that bell ringing?
