Bode George stands no chance of becoming chairman of the PDP hence the about face. |
The only way Tinubu (sorry APC) can win Ondo would be to rig massively with the help of the police, the army and INEC. |
In preparation for the November 26 governorship election in Ondo State, the Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, has once again restated his commitment to support an Akure man as the next governor of the state. The monarch stated this while welcoming Mr Eyitayo Jegede, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate into his palace. Jegede emerged as the gubernatorial candidate of the PDP for the November 26 gubernatorial election after defeating Honourable Saka Lawal at the primaries held at the International Event Centre, Dome, Akure. Jegede was ushered into the ancient palace of Deji amidst drumming, cheers and wild jubilation by his teeming supporters, including non-indigenes resident in the state, at about 2:35 p.m. While speaking, Jegede thanked Oba Aladetoyinbo for his support and fatherly role. “I was here at about two weeks ago after my resignation as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to inform your majesty of my intention to contest the governorship primaries of our great party, the PDP. “I remember telling your majesty that I am in the race to win and not just to add to the number. I am happy to inform you and the good people of Akure Kingdom who are here that I have successfully crossed the first hurdle having emerged as the candidate of my party. I am here again to seek your royal blessings and support of the Akure people even as we prepare for the general election,” he said. http://leaders.ng/?p=4170

Daily Post Nigeria 30 minors raped monthly in Katsina – PoliceBy Daily Post Staff on August 16, 2016@dailypostngr rape-victim The Police in Katsina State has revealed it receives no fewer than 20 to 30 reports of rape of minors every month. Salisu Agaisa, Police Public Relations Officer in the state, made this known while briefing newsmen in Katsina on Monday. He said the command was concerned about the increasing rape cases. “It is disheartening to note that most of the victims are underage girls who are hawkers.” Mr. Agaisa said the rape resulted in the death of the victims in some cases while others were left with severe injuries. He, therefore, urged the public to continue to assist the police with vital information about rapists and other criminals in the state. Everyone at the inauguration is a tyrant or despot. See them, Museveni, Kagami of Rwanda, Bubu of Nigeria and the celebrant who is on his 4th or 5th term. |
If I were Igbo person I won't believe this. Buhari has shown he hates Igbo people, this is just scam to cover his cronyism and tribalism. |
Serves him right, Abu Sidiq was a staunch Buharist let him taste what he helped to cook. |
Why OBJ dey fear? Fear of Buhari is beginning of wisdom, if Buhari know OBJ was at PDP meeting his file would be re-opened. |
I saw the pix yesterday, it is one of the best photoshop images I have seen in my entire life. |

My husband will never renounce Biafra – Nnamdi Kanu’s wife tells Buhari The wife of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, has denied her husband is giving up on the fight for independence. This is coming following reports that the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) was negotiating with the Nigerian federal government on the possible release of Kanu, on the condition that he would renounce Biafra. But Uchechi Okwu-Kanu in a statement maintained that the recent allegations against her husband Nnamdi Kanu were incorrect and insulting. “Anybody thinking that my husband will renounce Biafra is certifiably insane,” she said, adding that “MEND does not speak for her husband.” “This type of news as distressing as it is, is laughable because no group can postulate what my husband can or cannot do or say. This is not only an insult to our belief and of our rights as a people, perpetrated by dishonourable minds”, she further stated. Kanu’s wife added that “It is now apparent that the charges against my husband are politically motivated and not a judicial process as President Buhari would have the world believe. “This singular act of tyranny and injustice against my husband amongst others is reprehensible to every reasonable mind and is one of the critical reasons for the emergence of the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) who have in their quest, consistently called for the release of my husband, which President Buhari has underplayed. “Subsequently, Nnamdi Kanu should be present at any negotiations and I can refer President Buhari to F.W. de Klerk of South Africa on how to negotiate with a freedom fighter.” The IPOB had equally released a statement stating their leader had not “consented to any agreement” http://dailypost.ng/2016/08/03/husband-will-never-renounce-biafra-nnamdi-kanus-wife-tells-buhari/?utm_source=snap_dp1&utm_medium=twitter |
N15 billion Fraud: Ex-Gov Akwe Doma, Six Others To Be Re-Arraigned Justice Agatha Anulika Okeke of the Federal High Court sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State has fixed November 19, 2012, for the arraignment of the former Nasarawa state governor, Aliyu Akwe Doma and six others being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a 17 count criminal charge of laundering state funds totaling over N15 billion. Others accused persons being tried alongside Doma who was arraigned on October 18, 2011, are Senator John Dangoyi, Abdulmumin Jibrin, Timothy Anthony Anjide, Dauda Egwa, Suleiman Ibrahim, Broworks Limited and Green Forest Investment Limited. The fresh arraignment followed the recent transfer of Federal High Court judges which affected former trial judge, Justice Marcel Awokulehin. At the resumed hearing of the case on October 24, 2012, Justice Okeke announced that the case will start Denovo ,which is usually the case for any criminal matter starting before a new Judge. But before adjourning proceedings, one of the defence counsel, S.I. Ameh, SAN, challenged the representation of the duo of Barristers Sesan Ola and John Ovie from the chambers of Kemi Pinheiro, SAN, as prosecution counsel. He argued that the Attorney General of the Federation's fiat in respect of the case was issued to Kemi Pinheiro in person and therefore not transferable. Ola however countered, as he argued that the fiat issued to Kemi Pinheiro's chamber covers any lawyer from the chamber until the final determination of the case. The judge, while adjourning the case urged the prosecution counsel to produce the fiat as evidence of the document as issued by the Attorney General of the Federation was not available in any of the court records.
