If you get the new one in time then send it. Expiring passport is not a criteria for refusal, if they need you to submit a fresh passport they would ask for it. iykedpetes: Hello guys I applied for my study permit with passport that will expire by March,i applied for a renewal since last year and dey are yet to give me ..hope its not a red flag and if i finally get the new one should i send it through webform ? So if you travelling to Canada this is a list of what you should have ready.
1. Your flight ticket (obviously) 2. Negative PCR COVID test from government approved clinics 3. Your enrollment letter and/or travel document from your DLI. Trust me no airline will let you board without at least one of this. 4. When you get to Canada, I landed at Toronto Pearson terminal 1, you would be asked for correspondence letter then instructed to sit and wait, bear in mind you are not the only one coming for school. 5. Have ready hard copy of the following (it is written on a whiteboard): in no particular order: a. Enrollment letter b. Acceptance letter c. Account statement d. School fees receipt and/or GIC e. Also log in to your student portal or email.
Now bear in mind they may not ask you to show all these things. In my case I only showed e-mail and I got my study permit and co-op documents. They can see all you filled on your application, so don't lie when they ask you anything. When I was asked for receipt I said I was yet to pay and then he asked me what my *** does for a living, so he knew that was my sponsor. Once you get your documents, you pick up your luggage and you would most likely be asked to do a covid test. The test is free. |

Yes it should be a letter not a form. Since the airline asked for the enrolment letter and you have it now that should be okay I believe. Fleshofmankind1: Winnipeg is on Holiday now and I plan to fly tomorrow again ,I just paid my school fees on the 29th and got my receipt in my inbox ,I plan showing them at the airport I have an enrollment letter not a form ,please what does the house suggest please Winnipeg students here help me |

I linked mine on the 23rd and it reflected on the 24th. However, I went back on 29th to link my new phone number and it hasn't reflected yet. Perseverer: Thank you very much for your response. ECO bank is the bank where I did my BVN, and they mentioned that it seems the BVN update platform is not updating changes for now, after trying to make changes several times. I don't know if this is true and if someone else has been able to link their BVN to their email address recently. |

Your school is meant to issue you something called a travel document. It states that you are a student and enrolled and they are expecting in canada to start or resume classes, it would have your student i.d, name, course etc.. It may be asked for by the cbsa officer Fleshofmankind1: Am not happy Ethopian airline didn't allow me fly cause of an enrollment letter ,please someone should help with all docs he used in flying via ethopian airline, have weighed and paid all my excesses I had to reschedule my flight and book another covid test |

This is very obvious you show no ties to your home country. I do not know if applicants go through the cic website step by step to research application requirements. It is clearly stated there you have to prove your purpose, financial capability and also you intend to leave canada at the end of your studies. You have demonstrated 2 and left out the last one. I guarantee you that the problem is not finance, it is ties. I used a statement of 7m, no tuition paid at all but I have my parents and a child. If it by money many applications would not be refused. Find a way to show ties. It was in both refusals and judging from what you said you did not tackle it after the first refusal. HakHim: Hello good morning everyone good morning to all the gurus as well.
It will be a long post and please I really need guidance and help/ advice.
Kindly read.
I have gotten two refusals.
My first application.....
I applied first early this year. Self sponsored. 18M in three banks all statements attached, but had lump sum deposit in one of them (sold some assets).
HERE WAS THE REFUSAL REASONS
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based in your family ties in Canada and your country of residence."
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR based on personal asset and financial status."
REQUESTED GCMS....
HERE IT IS......
PA is self funded. Employment letter shows PA makes 16,000 annually. Funds provided are not commensurate to PA income. Transaction on bank statement shows lump sum deposit. Source of funds unknown. Concerns about funding. Bank statement to be verified.
{ please note that in my SOP I stated there the businesses that I do I attached CAC OF MY COMPANY I ALSO PUT THE RECEIPT OF ALL EQUIPMENT THAT I HAVE FOR MY BUSINESS, so my only source was not just my salary, but I think I was judged based on only my salary as my only source of income}
HERE IS THE REPORT FROM IMMIGRATION AND BORDER CANADA
"I have reviewed the application. the applicant is seeking to study in Canada. I am not satisfied that the applicants will leave Canada at the end of their stay as a temporary residence. I note that the client is single, mobile, is not well established and has no dependents. taking the applicants plan of studies into account the documentation provided in support of the applicants financial situation does not demonstrate the funds will be sufficient or available. I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense weighing the factors in this application I am not satisfied that the applicant will adhere to the terms and conditions imposed as a temporary residence. For this reason above I have refused this application."
SECOND APPLICATION.....
I submitted LOE, I explained the source of income, I gave a detailed financial table that shows how much I make from each equipments and how much I have in the bank. I used a sponsor (cousin) this time around he has 13M balance and sent me 2.6M for my first semester tuition.
I paid first semester tuition. I still submitted my personal bank statement of 17M. They verified my bank account from the first application and I also reminded them that the funds are still very much there seated for months now that it is mine....
Yet I still got a refusal ... Here is the reasons again from my refusal letter. I just requested for my gcms note
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based in your family ties in Canada and your country of residence."
"I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR based on personal asset and financial status.".......
I ORDERED GCMS FOR THE SECOND APPLICATION, HERE IS WHAT IT SAYS....
I HAVE CONSIDERED THE POSITIVE FACTORS OUTLINED by THE APPLICANT, INCLUDING STATEMENTS OR OTHER EVIDENCE.
THE APPLICANT HAS PROVIDED A REASON FOR THEIR VISIT TO CANADA
HOWEVER I HAVE GIVEN LESS WEIGHT TO THE POSITIVE FACTORS FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS
I NOTE THAT THE APPLICANT INTENDS TO SELF SPONSOR,
HOWEVER GIVEN THAT INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE OF ALTERNATIVE INCOME HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED THE FUNDS AVAILABLE DON'T APPEAR TO BE COMMENSURATE TO HIS MONTHLY INCOME HENCE THE SOURCE OF FUNDS IN THE FINANCIAL STATEMENT IS NOT CLEAR INCLUDING ITS AVAILABILITY TO SUPPORT THE APPLICANT STUDY IN CANADA
I ALSO NOTE THAT THE APPLICANT COUSIN INTEND TO CO-SPONSOR studies however given the evidence of relationship/connection to third-party sponsor and the history of financial support are not sufficiently substantiated,I have concerns about the credibility of the sponsorship, limited obligation for the 3rd party sponsor to provide ongoing financial support.
based on the review of this document presented in support of this application the application appears not to be well established in the home country
I am not satisfied that the applicant to leave Canada at the end of their stay as temporary resident, I note that the applicant is not well established in home country has not demonstrated proof of dependent dependents. given the lack of family ties or economic motives to remain in home country the applicant incentives to remain in Canada may outweigh their ties to their home country
Weighing the factors in the application I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorised for their stay
for the reasons above I have refused this application.
Please can you advice or let me know what next to do.... As I have addressed the concerns from the first application I even used a sponsor this time around..... |

Most schools if not all. The thing is when you apply there is a part that states you put down your academic history. Slot in your bachelors and your pgd. As long as your PGD GPA is good, your chances of securing a masters admission is good. If you have work experience provide that too and make sure you have it all in your c.v. Write a compelling statement of purpose and you would be good. approvalgirl: Good morning Fellows,

Please raise a webfrom to Nairobi directly. State that you have done and passed your requested medical and expect a final decision to help you make timely arrangements. All things being equal they should do something in 5-10 working days from my experience. I sent a total of 3 webforms for various reasons and they took like 5 working days to do their stuff BabajhideySammy: Can someone help with a draft of mail to send to embassy requesting for an update on my application please. I applied in July and I had my medicals passed October 25, haven’t gotten an update since then. I just noticed on be a website that the transmission fee for PPR is now 9410 effective 1st of November 2021. Has anyone encountered this or have people succeeded in getting passport stamped with 8920?

Really when did transmission fee increase to 9410?! Wow Jojorito007: Thanks for your response. I included our PPR letters. Well I was able to get through with vfs customer care. I was told that I’ll have to pay transmission for my son as well. I also paid 8920 instead 9410 for transmission fee. I immediately did that and send to a friend in Abuja to help me retrieve the parcel in DHL office in Abuja ( I checked and I found out the documents was still in abj) A friend helped to include the new receipt and then drop the parcel @ same DHL . I pray they deliver 2 morrow |

I have carefully gone through your post, did you include the PPR LETTERS? BECAUSE ON THE PPR LETTER THAT IS THE ONLY THING REQUESTED FOR ALONG WITH YOUR PASSPORT. Jojorito007: Hi Lianna pls I need your help I still have some concerns . I sent my passport and my 6 yrs old son passport to Abuja for stamping but I checked my tracking and I discovered that vfs failed to receive the documents and so the documents is on its way back to Lagos without visa stamp . I called DHL to know why but what they said that in most cases like that ‘ it could be that my documents was not complete …. I tried contacting vfs to know the right docs to send but Their phone has not been through. My younger son has a US passport. I am so stressed right now.. This is what I sent 2 photocopies of my passport , 2 consent forms Documents received when I did my biometrics Original international passport Receipt of Transmission fee (N8,900)
For my 6 yrs old son 2 photocopies of his passport Original passport ( he didn’t do biometrics so I didn’t add any consent form) Please I need your guidance on the proper documents to send |

Please let us tell ourselves the truth. IRCC states that average application time is 3 months. You submitted on the 12th of October, it is not up to a month and you are anxious? Even your institution advices to apply for study permit on time. Now there a slim chance that you can get approved before your start date but if it doesn't go that way, you will have to defer your admission. Additionally, Calm your nerves and stay prayerful. What matters the most is getting approved. Olorunjedaloraj: Good day,
I have submitted my application for a study permit and uploaded all necessary documents. I applied via the NSE route and I was told that applications via this route are done in 20 working days. I submitted my application on the 12th of october including my IELTS result with a minimum of band 6.5 accross each section.
I did my biometrics on 14th october 2021 and it has been updated on my profile. However, the upfront medical was done on the 11th october and uploaded in my profile on the 25th of october.
my resumption date is january.
Is the NSE route really valid?
What is the way forward?
Thanks |

Since you have paid tuition for one year, have a GIC of 10k and a balance of 10k in your account , I firmly believe an affidavit and bank statement will suffice. In your Sop, please create a sub heading for finance e.g. list of financial documents and explanation. Start by saying you are primary sponsor but your sister is cosponsor. Then list documents you attached for proof of funds. tuition receipt, GIC of 10k, personal bank statement, affidavit of support from cosponsor, bank statement of cosponsor, sponsor employment letter and or ID. Perfectyyyyyy: Thanks. She is actually in the US. Does she need to pay money into my account or just submit a statement of account and sworn affidavits of support stating that should be financially assist with money if I have any emergency need for money during my school. |
