dijon: Maybe the tension generated been the opening match i feel this Ivorian team will not qualify for the quater finals. The only player with passion is Fofona and he has his demerit too...he leaves gaps in the middle with his constant foray upward. Take it to the bank this ivorian team will not beat SE and EG. that Fofana guy na carpenter |

MetalJigsaw: Aribo is AM/forward nah... Onyeka is b2b/dm my reason is that when the team is chasing a game ie like trying to equalize or win by breaking opposition’s defensive low block having him and iwobi in midfield will add more advantage to the team in terms of creativity Aribo is more creative than Onyeka while the latter is more defensive minded with bigger engine to run up and down the pitch closing down opposition’s attack as well as bomb forward when required Also aribo has eyes for goals and more dangerous when he ventures forward to the opposition’s box unlike Onyeka |

MetalJigsaw: If not for Aribo's dip in form they could have been three... Our midfield would have been just fine. Aribo can still be subbed in for Onyeka if the team is chasing a game |

JayromWrites: I have a feeling Okoye turned down an invitation. Dude Body language doesn't seem as though he is fully committed to the GWG.
My opinion though committed? Of course he is committed but needed time to get his career back with Udinese and to me that was the right decision to make Mk em go nations cup do one mistake Mk una kuku kill am completely Abi? The abuse and insults he got after the last afcon can only be measured to that of Yakubu’s 2010 World Cup miss. Even only fine wey the bobo fine dey vex some pple 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Uzoho wey be like malnourished Gorilla don even make worst errors but haven’t been insulted like Maduka during the last Afcon If I be the guy self I go just retire from international football after receiving such backlash and cyber bullying |

Marjoribanks: Osimhen to Madrid gaining momentum. Will the Spanish supporters want so many non-Spaniards in their team? We shall see! Chelsea offering 80m + 15m add-ons! heard top Madrid officials wants him instead of Mbappe because he is more of a priority(natural number 9) than the French international in the team |

Thank God this is not only platform to follow Super Eagles eh. LOL!
In 2004, two prolific Strikers, Aiyegbeni and Agali and a legendary leftback Babayaro were expelled from Camp for indiscipline, yet we didn't fail to reach Semi-final and went home with bronze medals.
Odewingie saw an opportunity and grabbed it. Utaka saw an opportunity and didn't shy away from it, guess what - both were Wingers.
Icon4s recently reminded folks here to refresh their memory or at best ask their Elders to tell them stories of Eagles at AFCON, but they would rather keep wailing here. LOL!
If JPes still plays 4 - 4 - 2 formation, absence of Boniface, Iheanacho, Sadiq ain't gonna affect the team. In fact, its an opportunity for Iwobi to play 8, behind Osimhen, flanked by Lukman and Chukwueze plus Onyeka and Oyendika double-pivot.
If Chukwueze head not booting well, bring on Simon to replace him. I do not understand folks here to be honest. Competition starts tomorrow but gnashing of teeth full everywhere day and night. chai, u don remind me of one of my favorite super eagles player then John the attacking Utaka |

Jay Jay Okocha on Maduka Okoye’s exemption from AFCON 🗣️
“The way he has been treated since AFCON 2021, after that fateful Tunisia game, leading to his exclusion from the Eagles, is a mistake. “He is the one keeper that has the type of training and football upbringing that we need in a goalkeeper in the national team. But he is excluded. It’s strange,” |
