SCORENigeria has exclusively gathered that the NFF will deliver a massive cash boost for the Super Eagles by clearing all bonuses and allowances of the team’s 26 matches that have been outstanding since 2021.

These bonuses and allowances date back over three years covering 2022 World Cup and 2023 AFCON qualifiers and include a long list of friendly matches involving the Super Eagles.

A top sports ministry official informed only SCORENigeria that these outstanding payments were covered in the budget approved by the Federal Government for the forthcoming AFCON.

“All the bonuses and allowances pending for the team will now be cleared after this budget approval,” he told SCORENigeria

“This will be a big incentive for the team leading up to the AFCON.”

The Super Eagles bonuses and allowances at the 2023 AFCON are guaranteed on account of this budget approval.

Olise was a youth player at Chelsea,Man city and Arsena but could not cut it.

Saka from Arsenal youth team straight to main team and made England national team as a regular,at 22 he already had 32 caps with 11 goals....Olise at 22 yet to be capped either by England or France....the two nations don't joke with talent.

Saka is too big for Crystal Palace, maybe in his 30s he will play for Palace as a pensioner.

Lets see Olise in big team first then we compare but for now Saka is far ahead in all ramifications.
many players couldn’t cut it in the youth team of big clubs but later became world class players later on in their career

A good and recent example is Rice who was released by Chelsea, joined Westham and today is one of the best CDM’s in the world playing for Arsenal

Making it from the youth team of a big team to their first team doesn’t mean that others who weren’t good enough to make the cut won’t progress in their career later on

Olise had a slow start as a youth player but today among the best RWs in the EPL

You hv your reason for preferring Saka while I hv mine for choosing Olise

Very true! Saka is pure talent egbon.

Alaba was also a great miss by Nigeria.
Oga Olise is better abeg, very similar to Mahrez. Saka is too direct and boring to watch

Carry Saka go Palace if dem no convert am to LB mk I knw wetin cause am🤣🤣🤣🤣

You will see the best of Olise if he joins a big team. That boy is good

Saka is just left footed Jack Grealish 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

i disagree bros. Olise is a very good player. Classy, good technique, long ball and freekick specialist. He is 100 times better than Anthony (that guy is the funniest professional I've seen)

@Charlesemeka85. Charlee, you think Olise would really help Utd? Is it true that Casemiro wants to leave? Is this job bigger than Ten Häag??

Maazi Emeka, meanwhile this our midfield for AFCON still be worry me. If we go all the way, am not sure someone like Onyeka can play the whole tournament without getting injured. Alhassan and Iwobi sef get their perennial injury issues, perhaps am overthinking? We need at least one more midfielder in that team just so we don't overwork Onyeka and Iwobi or any 2 MFs JP will start with.
to me after salah olise is the best RW in the epl

I rate him ahead of Saka who looks more like a LB to me

Cut the lies and face the truth.
I hate hypocrisy.

Is Chukwueze and Simon better passers of the ball, do they bring more defensively, are they faster.

They can do more my foot.
Nonsense and rubbish.

If Peseiro desires let him not invite Ejuke and Nwakali.
It was on this thread that after seeing Peter Olayinka, touted him to start instead of Moses Simon on the left against Egypt, save for team chemistry, because of the obvious limitations that we have in these current wingers.

Eguavoen did not dress Ejuke for the match against Tunisia. Nwakali who was starting from the bench brought stability, control and creativity more than the midfielders that were starting ahead of him. These players will never be appreciated and we will keep paying for it.
Ejike’s agent don land 🤣🤣

I don’t know why I don’t rate that daga of a boy for now, maybe because we hv players similar to his playing style in the super eagles like ndidi, onyedika and Onyeka. Also bonke

All I pray for at the moment are more CBs,CMs and CAM

Globally, there is currently a dearth in quality of AMs. Football has gradually evolved over time with more emphasis being placed on tactics than on technical abilities. This has led to fewer creative midfielders.

Also, back in the days, wing players were highly valued and priced. They were known to run down the flanks and pull-out balls for the attacking players to strike into the net....but later on teams started playing attackers/strikers in wing positions and wingers became endangered species. Later on again, coaches are beginning to go back to wings play but in a modernized form where they play in a triangle with the Attacking Midfielder and striker.

Coming down to Nigerian National Teams, I quite agree that our inability to produce highly gifted youth players in that position is affecting the availability of quality AMs but like I earlier mentioned, it is also a global thing.
spot on sir, have said this before that we shouldn’t be crying about not having a natural number 10 in the super eagles because that role is gradually fading off

Modern football requires more of a CAM ( a hybrid of An Attacking midfielder and a Central midfielder) who primarily functions more as a CM but more unique n versatile due to passing ability and creative spark he produces but not as adventurous and flamboyant like what we had in the 80s,90s and 2000s. Even some tacticians of late deploy them as B/B midfielders. Good examples are De Bruyne, Fernandez, Valverde, Muller, Mount, Bellingham etc While the less physical and pacy ones are dropped deeper as DLP the way Ancelotti used Pirlo who was a natural number 10 but had to be dropped deeper by the Italian tactician to detect play as well as control the tempo of how his team want to play

Football hv evolved so much and lost its spark compared to years back due to the lack of mercurial attacking midfielders who brings entertainment, artistry and creativity that feeds fans with much excitement.

Players like jay jay, laudrup, zizou,Totti, baggio , Platini just to mention few I can remember now would hv struggled in this era if they were still playing active football

Players of their talent and skills are mostly pushed to the flanks and also instructed to drop back to help fullbacks when the team is chasing possession unlike what was obtainable many years ago

Football is too mechanical now and mostly based on team work, speed and work rate

Arsenal are watching Fiorentina fullback Michael Kayode.

The defender has impressed in the early rounds of this season under coach Vincenzo Italiano.

Italy U21 international Kayode is already attracting interest from the Premier League.

Firenze Viola says Arsenal have been alerted to Kayode by their scouts.

The London giants had scouts in place when Fiorentina beat Cagliari 3-0 on Monday to check on the youngster.

However, Fiorentina hopes to secure Kayode on a new contract. His current deal extends to 2025 with an option for another year

If he is an attacking midfielder... Pasiero should invite him asap quickly run change of narionality for him.

We need midfielders and goal keepers right now
he is a CAM/CM, good enough for us but I doubt if he will accept to play for us

Talented left-back Patrick Dorgu is on the radar of Denmark national team head coach, Kasper Hjulmand following his breakthrough into the first team of Italian Serie A club Lecce.

Dorgu has played in all the matches contested by the Lecce in the new season- eight in total in league and cup.

Kasper Hjulmand praised Dorgu during his press conference on Tuesday, saying the Lecce defender is a very, very exciting left-back and he's being monitored by Denmark's coaching staff.

Eligible for Nigeria through his father, Dorgu became provisionally cap-tied to Denmark after making his competitive debut for their youth team in a European U19 Championship qualifier against Georgia in September 2022.

The 18-year-old was a key member of the Lecce squad that won the Primavera League in 2022-2023, scoring four goals in thirty three appearances in the regular season, before going the distance against Fiorentina in the playoffs final.

Denmark U21 coach Steffen Højer revealed that Dorgu has some qualities that could make him relevant for the senior national team.

"He has clear qualities, and then there is a lot of work that needs to be done in relation to both being part of the U21, but also eventually making the national team," Højer said to bold.dk.

"My task is to make the best possible preparation for the A national team, so we talk about all players and their opportunity to come up."

Dorgu has been selected in Demark squad for their U21 Euro qualifier against Czech Republic on October 17.
