Danielnino00: I never called it a mistake.. the guy said Osimhen is playing for a bigger team than Awoniyi because of luck which isn't true... Awoniyi had a headstart in bis career compared to Osimhen.. From Union Berlin,he could have joined a better team... Forest aren't a team that will last long in the league... If Osimhen makes the leap to a bigger team from Napoli now, we won't call it luck.. he could have joined a mid table premier league team from Charleoi or Lille like Awo did, but he obviously planned his move better... no epl team showed interest in osimhen when he was at charleroi. He only attracted man united after having a stellar season at lille but preferred a move to Napoli Like someone replied you earlier, awoniyi had he’s reasons for moving to the epl and to me the 3 major reasons were to be with he’s young family, studies and money. At Union I doubt he earned close to 20k euros weekly and believe he earns almost double or even more currently at Forrest. Also this players are wise now unlike ex internationals that merely had something tangible to fall back on after retirement. Football career is short and the major reason why many footballers are diverting into earning certification to enable them hv a career in football, business or corporate world after their retirement. Emenalo and olofinjana are 2 good examples. Even if Forrest drops to the championship awo will be comfortable and better positioned to achieve he’s main reason of swapping Germany for England |

Danielnino00: I won't call it luck..... Awoniyi could have stayed with Union Berlin for one more season and be part of this good season they are having..that could have earned him a move to a better team .. Osimhen played in the Belgian league as Awoniyi and clearly outperformed him ... nawa for una ooooo. As a debutant in the epl coupled with injuries that kept him out for a period of time he has done pretty well Union is flying in the bundesliga but him leaving the German side to me is no mistake. Playing in the epl hv improved he’s game a lot coupled with the bigger pay check he gets every week unlike when he was in Germany 🇩🇪 Money reigns over everything bro!!! |

COOL10: Simy made the same mistake, even worse.
I understand your point but as a striker, goals are your primary duty and that's why Man City did all they could to sign Haaland. You can do all the hold up and link up play in this world but at the end of the day, what people will remember you for are your goals because that is your primary duty. Assists come second.
Concerning Choupo, that was all part of the agent's plan. Terminate your contract with stoke, and I'll get you a free transfer move to PSG. From PSG, he got him a move to Bayern. Now that's how a smart agent works.
As a footballer, if you have an agent with great selling skills, you've solved half of your problems. Simy didn’t make any mistake. He only signed for a team that were willing to have him There is no way the likes of Lazio, atalanta and the rest will want him for him to reject them and move to newly promoted salernitana unless the they offered more money Scoring 20 serie A goals was enough to earn him a move to inter, juve or even Milan |

To be honest, that guy commot at least 10yrs from his real age

COOL10: Yeah, you're right and that's why I said he should have stayed in Belgium since they didn't indicate interest in him but I still feel his agent could have done more.
If a relegation threatened Southampton was the best team he could get for Onuachu in the EPL even with all the goals he scored in Belgium, then he must be a quack agent. Try comparing him with Choupo Moting's agent and you'll see what I mean. what about simy that got a move to salernitana after scoring 20 serie A goals? Such numbers ought to atleast earn him a move to the likes of Lazio, fiorentina, udinese, atalanta or even bologna What makes a good striker is more than just goals. |

He has done it all in Belgium so it’s ideal he moves to a bigger league like the epl to test himself among the best as well as rake up retirement money |

COOL10: I've been thinking about this and I have come to the conclusion that Onuachu's agent must be very lazy and inefficient. In fact, the guy na cow.
Why did get him a move to Southampton of all places? Didn't he see mid table teams like Fulham and Brighton that specialize in a lot of dangerous crosses into the box?
Onuachu would have scored more goals playing as a back up striker to Mitrovic or even struggling for the number 9 spot with Welbeck/Ferguson in Brighton.
He scored lots of goals in Genk because he had the likes of Ito and Bongonda around him. These players knew how to cross the ball.
I can't even name any good Southampton winger/fullback but in Fulham, there's Willian. In Brighton, there's Mitoma, March, Gross. These players can guarantee you at least two good crosses each, per game.
If those teams don't want you, then stay in your Belgium or move to Spain/France.
That move to Southampton still dey vex me till today. how will he move to the teams you mentioned when they never had any interest in him? He was desperate to leave the Belgian league and the only tangible offer he got was that of soton |

codemaniacs: its not about tricks... Lukaku does it alot.. runs diagonally from the right into the box then scores and since he is tall and big he doesn't need tricks because it will be difficult to tackle him and push him off the ball, other players will fall down looking for the foul...
Boniface can play from the flanks on both wings, from the goals I just watched on Youtube he can operate on both wings..
put Osimhen on the right, put Boniface on the Left, then put Awoniyi in the center then Orban behind Awoniyi and you have a deadly attack. oga I give up. You will make a very bad tactician 🤣🤣🤣🤣 No near even your village team say u wan coach them 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |

codemaniacs: Mbappe runs diagonally into or towards the box, he plays as a striker on the left but tracks back to at least midfield...
Osimhen can operate like that from the right ( Chukwueze's wing )... I have seen him score goals from the right by running diagonally into the box and shooting the ball, the issue is will he drop deep to midfield to pick up the ball then run at defenders...
most people ( 99% ) on this thread won't agree with your suggestion..
France plays Mbappe, Benzema, Dembele, Griezmann in the same starting 11... why can't Nigeria also play a powerful starting 11...
people on this thread are scared that a player may out-perform their favorite player.. Griezman is at he’s best when deployed as an SS/AM which is he’s natural position. He can as well play from the right wing and cf which naturally makes him a well rounded offensive player but he is more effective playing behind a number 9 You can’t compare griezman’s ability to that of osimhen or awoniyi. They are differently built and hv their natural position which suits their attributes and natural abilities more When the CIV had drogba, kalou and others why didn’t dey for once deploy drogba as a SS or winger? Rather they always play kalou in those position all the tym even when kalou made he’s name at feyenord as a cf where he scored goals that attracted chelsea to bring him to London Osimhen and awoniyi can never function at the same time wether as an SS,AM,RW or LW You for kuku ask wetin mk westahof no play efan ekoku and yekini at the same time but preferred siasia or amokachi instead of the former Wimbledon and Norwich hit man Kanu and agali started some matches for the super eagles because kanu can play the SS position perfectly with he’s natural ability to serve as the link between the midfield and attack. Such ability comes naturally. It’s inbuilt and neither osimhen nor awoniyi has it The same reason ex Dutch international Bergkamp was mostly deployed behind Henry by wenger at arsenal year ago even when former is a striker as well |

Joebie: Let’s have the discussion, because we have seen other players who are not natural wingers operate from there. The question is how to make SE stronger, not necessarily playing Osimhen in his fav position. osimhen doesn’t hv those tricks and turns to operate from the flanks. He has the pace but I seriously doubt he will be a hand full for the opposition’s defenders coming from the flanks Just like playing lewandoski, lukaku, haaland and haller from the flanks. They won’t be effective at all I will rather try Moffi, boniface and Orban frm the flanks instead of osimhen, awoniyi or sadiq The last trio I mentioned are out and out number 9s who are very effective when played in their natural position |
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Papi85: 8:14pm On May 13, 2023 |
Joebie: He needs to leave Belgium fast to be be in our SE conversation. Despite Onuachu’s exploits there, his style was always going to mean he will struggle in SE, forget his few moments. Orban, May be too early to say, but he’s had a phenomenal start. Orban’s style of play will make him explode in any terrain he finds him self. He is explosive, strong,a good carrier of the ball and can shoot from outside the 18 yard box. Also he’s technical ability is decent with the tendency of improving in the nearest future. Remember he is just 20 He can’t be compared to an onuachu who feeds only on aeriel balls and tap in Even when onuachu was scoring for fun in Belgium I never rated him and many times said he will flop in a more competitive league and many labeled me a hater for stating the obvious. The same reason after scoring truck load of goals no serious team considered him good enough to splash the type of money genk were demanding before soton came calling The same league a young osimhen tore to shreds with even low goal ratio when compared to that of onuachu but still earned a move to lille while the latter who had better goal scoring ratio struggled for almost 3 reasons to get a move to lowly rated soton |

Joebie: I see no reason why Osimhen can’t play from the right considering Mbappe often plays from the left, the problem is we need a striker with a very high conversion rate, as lethal as Osimhen if Victor operates from the right. is osimhen an mbappe type of player? |
