President TINUBU do just one thing useful in your regime so everyone remembers you for life.

LEGALIZE GUN MAKING SURE EVERY MENTALLY SAIN PERSON ABOVE THE AGE OF 21 CAN OWN A GUN FOR SELF DEFENCE SO IF ANYBODY IS TRAPPED IN THIS SITUATION HE OR SHE CAN HAVE A FIGHTING CHANCE AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN NIGERIA
PoliticsRe: 150 Kidnapped As Bandits Launch Fresh Attack In Sokoto, Days After Killing Emir by Papilagreen: 6:37pm On Aug 26, 2024
I say it and I will continue to say it
As long as the federal government dose not pass the law for self defence where by every mentally stable person upon medical evaluation and he or she is cleared by a certified medical professional as mentally stable and approve for a gun license I e pistol, for self defence once you above the age of 21 in Nigeria so everybody can have a fighting chance when such situation happens. Then and only then will all this kidnapping or bandictory or the called ISIS will stop in Nigeria.
Untill then our leaders are not ready and they don't value the life of every Nigerian citizen and this is what tinubu should be doing that sleeping on national TV calling himself president because he ain't doing shit that's I see as a so called president.

Why is this thing not popular in Nigeria?
Because it is not been utilized in Nigeria only few know about it
Also to advance in this takes time and patience to become good in it, you have to spend a minimum of 3 to 4 years and when you become good at it, the sky is your starting point.
Anything you think about with your brain i.e visualize you and build it like it's real life.
Blender is so awesome if you don't know how to use it as a professional in most developed countries, you are classified as low level as professional in your work place.
You can apply blender in many aspect of life from technology to medicine. You think about it blender dose it
I first heard of blender when I was in secondary school when it was in its development stage but I didn't have a computer because I have always loved 3D. Since I was a kid I had ideas of making cars and just designing stuff.
Blender as the first free open source software I found and although It took me about 3 years later to get a computer, it wasn't easy because no access to stable learning materials.
In time I stared to go into it and later I stop. I go back and forth with it till I couldn't anymore cause I didn't have a good laptop to use in learning along.
Fast forward 3 years later I am now full time into blender and I am focusing in video production and game production.
All I can say is it's just passion and patients and everything comes together.
Still in the learning phase. I love the community blender has here in America compared to Nigeria.
If more people know about blender, Nigeria will be too tier in movie production our movies will upgrade overnight to Hollywood standard.
But still like I said, it all balls down to the time, resources and zeal to learn presently I have invested just to get top tiers learning tools for blender. I had to use my whole savings but I know it's worth it in the future.
I devote at least 9 hrs a week learning blender.

This depends on the geometry u have in ur project and the RAM of ur system and Graphic cards u have.

And if u got an instancing like plants , progressions or simulations.

And if you use a high density mesh or apply subdivs too much.
these are factors that affect render time. Even though Cycles have greatly improved render times, try the nightly builds of Corona.
You still rock with blender??

So sorry to hear this bro ..
I was in the same situation back then. I had to stop learning after I could not get a good computer for almost 4 years.
But I will advise you find a way to get back to it. It will pay off in the future I know it's not easy but if you can get back on it don't stop 2D was for the year 20013 we in 2024 bro 3D is the way forward.
I sure like to keep up in contact with you we are very few blender users in Nigeria it will be great to keep up the thread. I m into games and cinematography it's always been my passion. I plan to have my own game and movie company in the future hopefully.
Maybe we can do done together if you have the zeal to go back to blender.

IMAliyu:
I had to stop, not because I don't have interest in it, but because I don't have my own personal laptop or computer at the moment.

I've been focusing purely on 2D digital art on my phone now.

If I save enough and get a PC I'll jump back into blender

I'm from adamawa state

Hey bro do you still learn blender as we speak?
What part of Nigeria are you? I am a blender enthusiast my self and I love it.

How often do you keep up with blender?

IMAliyu:
I decided to get back to drawing, well it's more so I have to relearn drawing as I've forgotten how to (which I've been doing), and to learn character modelling in blender while at it. As I have some freetime at the moment, I thought I'd reawaken my old hubby of drawing (characters) I unfortunately abandoned some years ago, when I was going through a stressful time and some conflicting doctrinal reasoning.
Some of my old drawings https://www.nairaland.com/3733822/thread-anime-lovers/275#92606055

I'm already familiar with blender, started messing around with it around the time I was in SS1 when I wanted to learn animation, some of my old renders I've posted on NL of inanimate objects and sceneries.
A montage of some of those renders

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGOfRdLmkUk

I'll be posting my progress with it here.
EducationRe: Gunmen Abduct Over 20 Nigerian Medical, Dental Students In Benue by Papilagreen: 4:38pm On Aug 16, 2024
Simple solution to this.

LEGALIZE GUN FOR SELF DEFENSE SO EVERY ABLE MENTALLY Stable INDIVIDUAL CN OWN A GUN FOR PROTECTION.
THIS RUBBISH OF KIDNAPPING AND BANDITS WILL STOP IMMEDIATELY
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
WE NEED GUNS FOR SELF DEFENCE.
LEGALIZE GUNS FOR SELF DEFENCE.
CrimeRe: Identities of Medical, Dental students Kidnapped in Benue by Papilagreen: 4:34pm On Aug 16, 2024
This is why I have been in support of every Nigerian having the right to own a gun (pistol) for self defence.
If the outcome was a fair ground whereby every individual that was kidnapped was able to self defend herself with a gun I bet you that many of those kidnapped student will be present to tell their story.
I m here just thinking what each and everyone of them will be going through now.
Most of them already sexually assaulted and even more. Just imagine the trauma that will be on them till the end of their days on earth.

Our political leaders won't do nothing until their son or daughters are kidnapped.
Infact our next president should be the one who should support a gun movement for every individual above the age of 19 for the sole purpose of self defenses to avoid all this rubbish reoccurrence.
If there should be such person as a stand up leader I will vote him or her as president of Nigeria.
What is the essence of living when you can't fight for your life or freedom as a God given right.
Enough is enough we need guns for self defence.

TravelRe: Life Is Unpredictable (story Of My Life) by Papilagreen: 6:44pm On Jul 25, 2024
I read your your story and I fell I can just say this to you. In life, we have ups and downs. We learn in life by our actions we take and as such, we use that lesson learnt to perfect our next future step in life.

Bro let me drop you a small advice and I hope you take from this.

1, take a break from the world, if I would say do it this way, take a break from the life you living now by
1, from that money you have now make a six months adequate plan for support for your wife and child financially so they will be okay for the next 6 to 7 months, then just go to a very remote village where nobody knows you leave all tech behind don't even go with any phone, your first one month there if it's drink or smoke do it as much as you can for one month and after one month sober up if you can if it takes you more than a month keep going but make sure you sober up and when you do, take the next 5 months and meditate and experience and embrace nature. Play with ants, butterflies, birds. Hunt for your food. Learn how to swim live in a hunt live like Tarzan if possible and during this process, think of the things that you know that makes you happy if your son or wife included know who you can call family and blood from your immediate family I e father mother brothers sisters. When you know you have seen the life in a bright side, come back to your wife and son and then you can go ahead and plan which country and which skills you want to follow.

Some people might say I am over saying it but this are my reasons for giving you this advice.

I know you have made up your mind to relocate to another country to start afresh and for your young age I am very certain you can make it work for you and your family.
But know this

1, no amount of money you take with you from Nigeria, will be enough when you relocate to a first world country. It is the money you start making here that will make it all count.

2, you need to get your head and shit together before you relocate because you will live a lonely single depressed life for the next 5 to 6 years because nobody knows you and nobody send you. Before you make a TRUE friend here it takes years because everyone is always on the move or indoors.

3 before you can settle down in another man country will take you life tears and sweat. Every night you go to bed crying and asking God why me? Or God did I make the right decision? But I will definitely tell you this today that as long as you get your shit straight and trust the process, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

4. Every country get their problems and mostly when you have the thick wonderful shining black skin color that makes you special when they wish they had deep down.
5.Abroad will test you bad as in real bad. So my advice is go first and make sure you make adequate plans for your wife and child and when you settle you send for them. Make you come stress the stress for them then make them come when you don get place of your own.
6, abeg if any of this other s no enter your ear make this one enter.
Make sure you don get place to stay before you japa. I mean make sure say the person wain dey tell you come, when you don land make sure say that learn will be willing to come receive you from airport to stay with am for at least 4 to 6 months. E go help you e get why. If you no get where to stay make sure you do find no just go eyes blind.

7. Even if na plumber you see do make u do am when you reach you go make am.

Finally if you know say you no go fit do the lowest of lowest job then no japa. Reduce your expectations of the country you dey go from 100 to 20 because no be everything you dey watch for film na so e be there.
You made it once before you can make it again over and over but this time use wisdom. Where one door close another one go open.
PoliticsRe: Aliko Dangote Offers To Sell Oil Refinery To FG-Owned NNPC by Papilagreen: 11:08pm On Jul 21, 2024
If we are to look this issue from multiple sides of view, we now have cars that run on water and solar energy in one. We now have flying cars, we now have electric cars that doesn't need fuel but rather lithium batteries and water together and it drives well just as regular gas cars and the maintenance structure is same as fuel cars. Even the Saudis are now shifting from oil petroleum as well. And I think dangote has sat down to do the all analysis to see it's not worth the fight and as such he is very willing to sell his refinery when different stock holders have different agendas. Great decision he has chosen.

Wonderfully written and I love to see this day as a Nigerian who see another Nigerian who in into 3D applications.
I am into 3D as well I am focused on VFX and game design with it. But I use the open source software that dose it all for absolutely free BLENDER. And you need to check out it's cycles rendering as well Its 100% free and at first, the UI is kind of daunting to learn but when you get the hands of it, you are good to go. Anything you think of you can do it with blender and again 100% free.

Honestly as long as you have the zeal to learn and the passion to learn then that's a start. Honestly I didn't start using blender hands on full time because when I started learning my computer was not up to standard so it crashes the software s soon as I started using it to learn. I still pushed on using learning ebook materials until I was able to save up and buy my Dell xps15 2 years ago and I have been rocking it ever since. In summary you can start by learning the basic by reading and following my future tutorials and when you get your computer you progress from there.

I don't really use Adobe any that much unless Photoshop which is my number one go to for graphic design anyway anytime. But recently I don't use much of Adobe any more because of their subscription based now since they migrated to Adobe creative cloud for their monthly payments is kinda stuffy which made me put a point to them and I don't use them much anymore.
Your knowledge is very much welcome to learn.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Please What Skills Can You Teach People For Free Please. by Papilagreen: 12:21pm On Jul 11, 2024
Good day to you all. Firstly I want to say excuse my late response. I had a lot to do that's why I wasn't available.
And also I can't respond to each of you who has reached out to me via both email and here on NL as well.

Okay so let me jump into the wagon and shoot straight up.
Now it doesn't matter which state or what country you live in if you want to learn you can always learn really good as long as you have a good stable internet connection which is the first thing.
Secondly, you need to have a good I mean. Good computer system I mean high standard computer at least with a good CPU and a good graphic card because you will be doing a lot of color grading color correcting advance fast video edits and as well the baba of them all modeling and rendering. In summary, you need a good engine to power your creative drive.
You will be looking into softwares like Davinci Resolve, cinema 4D, Houdini, Autodesk Maya, unreal engine and my best of the best BLENDER. And infuse any of the above 3D software with DAVINCHI RESOLVE 8 or 9 beta.
Now most of these 3D softwares are subscription based and expensive to pay every month so we will scratch all that and use BLENDER 3D my favourite and infuse it with DAVINCHI RESOLVE.
Now back to hardware like I said you will need a good capable computer mostly 64 but operating system with nice graphic card minimum requirement I will say is a gen 5 computer will be a good place to start from and as you progress you can buy yourself a much powerful machine for a computer.
I own a dell XPS 15. I have been using it for almost 3 years now. It does the magic for me just fine.
Also believe me when I say you can do it all. Be it VFX, editing, modeling. Sculpting, Animation and even making awesome games like COD or likes of HALO, God or war, resident evil, any game you name it as long as you are willing to learn oh boy you will be happy always and you bank account will be pinging chin chin.. 24/7.
You just need to know your niche and you will be set.
Like I said it's not going to be easy but if you focus and put in the hours with the right resources you will be a dimi God. I am still my my hoeing phase in blender but I can hoe like a bitch and I want to be a pro before I can come out and market myself full time. I plan on getting my game company in Nigeria soon where I will be making awesome games and VFX movies but I can't do it alone aso if I see like minded who are ready to learn and push the journey then when I am ready and you are good enough,I will gladly welcome you to my train ride but I bet you will be making banks then you won't even want to work with me lol.

So if you ready and you have a good computer that meets the requirements and I have close to 30 people willing to learn, I can create a discord group with clean environment for learning for us all no judging and it doesn't matter if you are good at drawing or that stuff anybody can learn as long as you ready to put in the work spend like 2 hrs daily learning for the next 2 to 3 years and you will look back and say I am glad I made this choice.
So if you up for this please say the word. And if I get a good number of people then I will be motivated to teach and I will be doing this 100% free. Just have your right gears for study and good internet connection for a minimum of 2hrs daily and we can do it. And it is going to be fully remote i.e online a discord forum where we all shear our progress discuss about mistakes amd corrections and show our work and we good to go.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Please What Skills Can You Teach People For Free Please. by Papilagreen: 3:02am On Jul 11, 2024
okay let me jump in here for a bit. So If you are willing to learn, I can teach you video editing, vfx and 3D modeling and animation.
So in summary most people in Nigeria don't know much about 3D modeling and animation.
So let me break it down. You see movies like iron man, fantastic four, superman, Wonder woman, the flash, avengers etc. these type of editing using vfx applications I can teach you that.
But I must tell you also, that it's not easy it can be lengthy and a long journey you will need to dedicate time and resources to it and when you are perfect in it, the world is at your finger tip. You will be financially stable and you can travel the world while you work.
Infact you can make from a minimum of $120.000 to $450k per year when you become so perfect in it and life a happy fulfilling professional life.
FamilyRe: Japa Inside Japa,very Confuse… by Papilagreen: 3:57am On Jun 27, 2024
I will not argue with you at all because these points you just made might be 100% true because you have experience in that region of the world but also in as much as everywhere in the world is not perfect, from my experience I would love to experience other cultures to see where I fit in life.
Also I want to bring to your reasoning that a Nigerian can make it anywhere in as much as he or she is given a drivable environment where they can thrive. A Nigerian is a Nigerian anywhere in this world it's just about how we all approach things in life towards our goal to success.
Finally, I will say this it is better for a Nigerian to learn something of a professional skills and I mean skills that will meet todays innovation in life I am not talking about just plumbing or mechanics or electricians any more. We already have them alot here in America. The skills I am referring to are modern day advance skill like Artificial intelligence, cinematography, videography I.e, vfx, editing, quantum computing, robotics and most of all
3D animation ( i.e, blender, unreal engine, Maya and the rest). These are the trends in America and you can be a great free lancer and work from anywhere in the world and make a minimum of $90 to 140k a year.
These are things one can start a background knowledge just from using YouTube.
I pray our younger generations see this is the path if they want to keep up in today's and tomorrows world.

Gerrard59:
I have read about such places.

Interesting stuff you have here. The reality is that Black people are NOT LOVED anywhere.

I do agree that the gun violence and how random is a major problem.

I mentioned McDonald's to broaden the breadth of professionals. Everyone cannot be a tech bro or finance sis. Again, I maintain my stance that becoming a manager at McDonald's is possible for a black person in the US than anywhere in Northern Europe.

The chances of being the same in Norway are ZERO. That is the difference. For the bold, rising the career ladder takes time anywhere. No one becomes a manager overnight.

America has more jobs than the whole of Europe. High paying jobs for that matter. The chances of a black person being employed in the US are higher than in the EU. In fact, this thread we are on is because the OP is worried about children's prospects in the EU. Here is a North African who experienced the same in France: https://x.com/eldivyn/status/1806044030918328472?t=ZsRM--KqNnuskfAR4Yoo1g&s=19

Your choice, but the reality is that Nigerians in the US are the wealthiest set of Nigerians in the diaspora.

P.S. It is hilarious you believe your chances are higher in countries whose languages are not Germanic nor English over a place with the biggest economy whose major language is English - which you grew up with in Nigeria. BTW, what is your visa status in the US?

Lastly, I can never believe a Nigerian would have it easier in Norway than in the US. The facts don't support such a mendacious claim.

Thank you for your opinion if they respond more intelligent than I do that fine am okay with that.
Am not here to show how intelligent I am and I never said have to look their profile because I don't have to. If they live abroad or not
All I did was give my own opinion on how I see things and I can't stand and watch them insult me for no reason.
If you don't agree with somebody they why not just say I disagree with you and say why.
Instead of calling me out disrespectfully?
You should be ways to say things out without putting out negative vibes.
Those words are for certain people and they know theirs not for the general readers. Just the ones who come and insult me because they feel disrespected by my own opinion.
I don't do well to insult or treats so if that is my flaws then I am sorry but I can't stop now I give respect to whom respect is due.

73O9:
Going through all the arguments, it's obvious they respond more intelligently than you do. You don't have to start insulting during an argument.
Also take your time to go through their profiles, you would see they are Nigerians not living in Nigeria.

Some (not all) of the things you stated in your opening post are facts but it doesn't mean they are valid in all scenarios. Everyone has a profile, so that dictates how individuals can be in the developed world.
