i juz received an email from stanbic ibtc for an assessment on friday. But da issue is dat i haf no valid means of if except for a school id card which expired in 2012. And dey also said i shld cum wiv a printed copy of my confirmation of my online application. i really dont undastand that.

Go with ur old I'd. They will accept it. But be sure you ve ur credentials with you. Originals and photocopies as stated I the mail. You will be fine

Confirmation of attendance isnt anytin big. Just do a reply to same email address staying you will be available for the test period!

Can't truly understand wat u r saying. Who told you anyone is desperate abt dis job? Don't you know 70% or more candidates for this post r working and so won't put dere lives for it? Am just waiting for the package. If it's not better than my current place of work, bros I shall bid them goodbye! Get it straight, no one is desperate abt this job. As a matter of fact, wen I got the invite for chat, I was personally unhappy. You can't ask people to come for last/final interview after which you called for chat again. It doesn't show corporate seriousness on their part . Chat shld be in it true sense and not another interview as we observed. Desperation; No!

My bro, it wasn't a chat in the least form of the definition of a chat. It's an appearance of our 2nd stage Interview. You are given a sheet with a question (Wat you will do in the first 30,60 and 90days of ur job). You are to write ur response and deliver it before the panelist and ur colleagues for 2mins. I lost the definition of chat wen I heard abt it.

Absolutely correct @Shrine. I got mine for 8am same day. My thoughts : Issues abt salary and general condition of the job would be discussed and it will be very brief. I observed that CVs and credentials which use to be asked for in the previous stages didn't appear in this mail. Any idea of expectation of salary?

went for their interview sometimes in late April this year. They offered me N20k as salary. And it was a marketing job in which I am expected to at least meet a target of N200k monthly as minimum I can get.

I wasn't angry cos after all my papa no give me job. But then I just asked myself, so upon my B.Sc degree, with a professional certificate in Banking & Finance, na N20k go be my salary?

it was left for me to either accept it or refuse it, and I know I can't be a slave to anybody, so I told them what they normally tell people who come for interview, ''I shall get back to you''...

the lady who interviewed was so pretty and about 26 years of age, and up till now she still calls me about the offer. That's their Opebi branch.

Anyway, sometimes in life on your way to the top, those are some things you will face that can either challenge you to strive more or weaken u and make u give up.

Cant stop laughing at ur submission. You were so so ruthless to them by ur response. Some coy offers can really make me laugh. Why search for B.sc for 20k? They shld look for either an O'level or FSLC and make the offer.

Great! Where did you do yours? upstairs or the down floor? Am thinking the panel upstairs are kind of hard/harsh especially to some of us that had ours in the first 45 mins of the first day. However, am still optimistic.

If they don't pay more than 100k then they will do their job themselves. The stress and wahala is worth more than 100k.

For those of you scheduled for 2morrow. Fear not! Certificate issue never came up. I observed each person spent an average of 15-20mins with the interviewers. They were 2 guys and one lady. The questions asked range from the usual can we meet you after they introduced themselves to ways you could manage customers during crisis situation. They particularly asked me if I agreed that customers are king. I agreed and gave my reasons. They asked abt my salary expectation. They finally asked me abt Islamic Finance since I mention that i'm a banking and finance graduate. Nothing more. Just be cool and calm. Success all!

We would need 18Wheller to help here. Notwithstanding, we shall all go and explain our different concerns to them. Lets hope they listen. But the last before this rescheduled invite, they never mentioned anytin abt original cert. How come they suddenly started asking for it?

Were you interviewed yesterday? He were the Questions? Cv based or wat? Did they tell you how soon you will be contacted? I was also their yesterday but was told my panelists didn't show up hence it was rescheduled with a promise of a 48hrs info in advance.

You're the one who didn't get the point.

The point in case you missed it is that the reason your friend was sent a regret mail was probably because his performance was woeful and not because it's the tradition of the bank to do so.

That's ignoring the fact that you can't use your experience with one bank as a yard stick to tell how banks conduct their recruitment.

As a matter of fact, you can't even use your experience with ten banks to tell how stanbic conducts it's own recruitment

This argument has no economic value. I need 2 face my task for the day. Ur views r noted. Off!

Truth is, not everyone will be taken.

Knowing the interview questions before attending increases your chances of being taken and by extension, reduces the chances of the person who told you being taken.

Say I want to interview ten people out of which five will be taken. I was able to interview five on monday. Then one of the five leaks the interview questions to the remaining five. It's not difficult to see that the last five applicants will perform better than the previous five and I'm likely to take all of them.

I understand the flow of ur logic but hey, it doesn't wrk with bank interview. Hw did I know? Experience! Just to share a few with u. I got to d venue of the interview. A friend who did his a day earlier called and told me he received text that he wasn't successful with theirs a day earlier. My question: How has the questions he leaked to me affected his chances? That happened in 2013 during my diamondbank interview experience @ Owerri. The tin is, if u r going for a bank interview, as soon as u leave the panel, the decision to either take/ drop you has already been made. Other candidates CANNOT hamper ur chances of success with banks. I know wat I'm talking abt. As mentioned earlier, we all need 2 prepare for ours with/without clue!

Pass mark is likely 50. U shld ve ur results in a week time. However, some get theirs much later. Hope the test was cool?

I & other fellas here also wrote in Ikeja for same role and got mails for interview which was supposed 2 be 2day 16th. We later got another mail for rescheduling indefinitely. Am kinda lost here hearing u r billed for sat. Anyways, let us know hw urs went. Success!
