People are funny and I sense a bit of jealousy here. If your business is destroyed, it can cause a lot of depression. There are market owners whose shops caught fire and they died from high blood pressure or the shock of the news. May you never experience heartache that will cause your death. Most business owners have this problem. Something will happen to them that will almost make them take their lives. That she was able to go back to school for an advanced degree after the demolition is worth congratulations. Anyone reading this should help me congratulate her, she is my motivational monday. Ignore those whose advanced degree is Bad Belle PhD.
Sapasenator: I am struggling to find a nexus of her educational qualifications with her shop demolition.
The autoshop, worth millions of naira in assets, where she goes about her daily business and trained females in auto works 'free of charge' was subject to a land use tussle. A court granted her ownership of the land and a restraining order on FCDA from harassing the occupants. However, she picked herself up, set herself up again to keep her dream alive and later relocated to the UK. She went back to school, and graduated last month with an M. Sc in Mechatronic Systems Engineering.
This MSc programme combines principles from mechanics, electronics, control, computers, automation, and robotics to design, manufacture and test smart and cognitive systems and devices, that use a combination of these disciplines.
One thing about this life, let it beat you. Cry, then get up and rise again. Do not let life beat you to death. You lost.

Could this be the beginning of the end for APC Yes. What happened to PDP is happening to them now, I don't think Nigerians can survive 16 years of APC the way they survived 16 years of PDP. This is just 9 years of APC and by 2027, it will be 12 years. At that time, it will be very very very difficult to blame PDP or Obi. They blamed PDP in Buhari's first term and when it was about time for the 2019 election they had to change the story because they too were becoming a part of the past 16 years they always said. Now, it is easy to call Obi because he was one of the popular candidates that contested but I can assure you, in Buhari's voice, they can not run propaganda for so long. God forbid Obi dies today, who else will they blame The reality will be obvious. APC needs to get its act together because their old tactic of diversion is stale and outdated. Nigerians are now able to compare both APC and PDP and for people to be saying PDP was relatively better despite how bad they managed Nigeria back then, it is time they smelled the cookie jar. The most interesting part of everything going on is how the political class are so unreliable. From PDP to Labour to APC, you can now see the real character of our politicians. They are only after power. You see them cross caperting because they ar e only after positions.
It is better to have this organized protest and protect them, respond to them and empathise with them rather than attacking them and blaming opposition. That format don cast. This gen z and the one following them don't care about those old media structure of propaganda. They may not know so much but they have a high BS detector. Sometimes I see them praising someone that once destroyed Nigeria because he is saying the truth in one interview. They will call the man good man. When they see another video interview of him saying rubbish tomorrow, they will cast him. If Tinubu's government has a protest in his first term, that change agenda APC sold in 2014 will be taken by another rising force to give people hope. People will just want to see change, no matter who it is. That is why Burkinabes and Malians were celebrating change in their country. That is human beings for you, any new person even if they too will be scam will be celebrated. That is why I said the times are interesting because time has revealed the true state of mind of our politicians. You can fool the people most of the time, you cannot fool them all the time.
Remember when DSS raided APC offices in Ikeja in 2014. APC complained that Jonathan was using DSS to chase them. We even saw DSS woman talking to the press. What goes around comes around. People will always have sympathy for the underdog, so if APC repeats what was done against them, they are only nailing their coffin. It is better to have a managed protest than one you cannot control. If you have an uprising like the Algerian boy that burned his body, it will spark everywhere. Some people are only waiting for one person to start before they join. Renewed hope is obviously not renewing any hope. There is a limit to which people can be pushed against the wall. There is nothing worse than a man who has given up on life that death is not his enemy anymore.
If anything happens, Mr Tinubu, all those people lying to you will flee. They have done it before and they can do it again. They all left Jonathan when he lost. Don't be deceived that it will be until 2027 before you are asked to go. Even dictators can be forced out in a twinkle of an eye and that is when the enemy of Nigeria will enter because they have been waiting for that moment to strike. This is a fight for survival for the President. If he loves that position, he has to offend his people and leave politics for once. Even if it is 1 term, lead in a way that people will want you back. Presidents will come and go, Aso Villa go remain
Flamemignon1: Please what's your definition of "woke"? Because white racists thinks that your existence as a black person is woke
Isn't it moronic that such a person will choose to use a word that was created by those who should never have existed
I guess that person you describe hasn't woken up yet
Woke is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) originally meaning alertness to racial prejudice and discrimination. Beginning in the 2010s, it came to be used as slang for an awareness of social inequalities such as racial injustice, sexism, and denial of LGBT rights.
Ibrahimcoomasie: Why would anyone even want to risk flying into Nigeria when a protest is about to start. No one can tell if it's going to be peaceful and for how long. At best, people should be leaving instead.
This is Nigeria, our elites no de stay for one place. They traveled at the last minute during ENDSARS. When it is election, they will leave on that weekend and come back when they signal to them.
Bobloco: Absolutely, Nigerians are certainly the losers.
The Tinubu regime becoming the worst regime in the history of this country has made the Nigerian masses the losers.
That is the script they have stuck to. I have time to reflect given all the events that passed. It is absolutely correct that in 2012, the election losers protested against a government policy less than 6 months after losing elections. Imagine the irony, the same thing they protested against, 1 year after the announcement, they expect people to accept the policy
Luckylife: The current surge in plan protests has evidently rattled the government and it sycophants, compelling the allegedly criminals to scramble for manipulations tactics and make grandiose promises. The unrest has pushed officials into a defensive stance, desperately seeking to regain trust and secure a second chance from the youths that are punched and future in shadow. This response underscores the powerful impact of organized dissent, highlighting its role in holding leaders accountable and driving them to address critical issues more urgently.
I like the last picture you posted. I just posted this on another thread

papyjaypaul: This is reality. Politics is a dirty game and I have learned in my life to live with reality. I am not a fan of Mr President but currently, he is our COAF and GCFR, I am more interested in my country. He can be a bad man with good cabinet, just get the work done. Whether you like it or not, with Buhari's dismal first term performance, didn't he seek 2nd term Who voted him That's the reality of Nigerian politics, so if I give advice, it is because I am living with reality and love my country.
Obasanjo changed his cabinet when there were conplaints Jonathan did after so much pressure. Even Yar Adua did in his short time. Sometimes you change your first eleven and put new blood in.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3brc3aQXG4?feature=shared Another thing that the President has failed to do, which Obasanjo used very effectively was Media Parley. OBJ will host a chat with the President to explain the steps his government is taking. All other Presidents have refused to do that after him. Only Jonathan tried it 1 or 2 times. The President needs to speak directly, not sending media aides all the time. These are little things that make the people know the direction they are going. When the President does not talk and give interviews to the media, the cabal leads.
Difrent: Like the Americans will say "you just got conned by trump" The only actor in the race is Trump And I mean he is an actor, a showbiz promoted , a former boxer, writer etc
All of them are. America. Nigeria. Trump. Biden. Kamala. Obi. Tinubu.
Not fooled by anyone of them. We just want a good performance off stage by the actors, if they can.
You see how we Africans are always like the underdog, if you know what is really going on, you will know that the inmate is the underdog that has the people's support and the prosecutor is seen today as the persecutor.
They tried the Russia spying media warfare on him, it did not work. They tried the January attack on him, it still did not work. Trump is one of those few guys who changed the U.S. presidency and I think it will be like this. Obama used social media rise in 2008 and when Trump came in, he changed the way of politics with Twitter. That constant stream that he had, it was not managed. It was not what politicians can do. You see how Nigerians are distant from their President and everytime Obi tweets, it's like the President has spoken? That is what Trump is. He broke the normal way politicians talk to people. He has a cult like following and no matter what you say and how the media attacks him, it only makes him stronger. My friend, this is the worst picture to use. I think people are now tired of the old style of politicians managing their images with journalists and agents, the more authentic and direct you are, the more people like you. Other politicians look like actors.
Because of his attachment to smoking, the only thing I can see there is as if he is lighting up his smoke
The person above is right, Snoop Dogg is not the kind of role model you want for your child. He also did not give up smoking, it was a campaign for an ad. But he can choose to do what he wants to do, I don't fancy him. This is why people had problems with Fela's influence, at least he was making sense with his messages to the government about the conditions of the people. I really can't say what big influence I can say for Snoop other than rap culture and entertainment which is zoned to black Americans for appropriation.
Churches took over industries and a man had a vision for his church to be on every street and Nigerians celebrated. Mosques are not left out, everyone competing for a place in the afterlife. No production, only consumption. We pray for consumption and buy other people's production.
In school, some people spent 4 years and moved on with their lives. Some people never graduated until 10 years and dem no study medicine. When you enter the system, you will be there for a long time and won't know when time passes. now that politicians are using student unions, they are employed by them
Wike has done well even if I don't admire him as a politician. The President could have given a media chat too. Fashola used to do this townhall and Ambode tried it. Politicians don't understand the value of engagement, they totally disconnect from the people using spokesmen and aides. Imagine if you talk to your people regularly, you have already confused their minds because some will be on your side to counter non supporters. This is not expensive to do but you can't give what you don't have. Our politicians want to live like emperors until the Empire crashes
