Politics › Atiku The Strongest Candidate Over And Above Buhari And The Rest by paq1(op): 2:46pm On Feb 02, 2019 |
As we enter the final home run to the general elections, the political temperature is rising and will reach the crescendo on February 16th.
Saturday February 16th is Nigeria's restoration day, a day of our renaissance as a people akin to independence.
However, while the incumbent president Buhari and the candidate of the main opposition PDP Atiku Abubakar are the contenders, Atiku remains the strongest candidate on a very simple parameter;
Buhari has his strongholds NW/NE and atiku/PDP has their stronghold of Nigeria. Yes, NIGERIA!!!!
Atiku/PDP will get 25% in all the 36states plus FCT while buhari even as incumbent won't and cant get such spread.
It is only a matter of days the reality of a formidable PDP returning to power will ring true.
Congratulations Nigerians we are more than buharideens. |

senatordave1: You see you guys dont know the dynamics of elections.pdp can only resist rigging in their ss,se bases while apc will have a free hand up north.pdp also needs to rig in their own strongholds to stay in the game.struggling to stay in the game in their own base shows how weak there are.atiku has no chance The entire Nigeria is Atiku/pdp's stronghold. You are the one that doesn't understand what is happening. Atiku/pdp will defeat buhari/apc. |

martowskin1: Now someone is seeing what am seeing, GEJ low point was the north , this same north we know artiku will do better and much better that GEJ.
Come to the SW, it will be divided as usual, SS and SE are pure PDP from the onset
Looking at all this, buhari is not that safe as people think Buhari is a goner cos rigging will be resisted. Buharideens ain't detailed they are only rudely emotional. |

I'm rooting for moghalu. Buhari will be defeated fair and square. Gombe voted massively for buhari in 2015 yet he only managed to win with 2.5m. Atiku will do better than GEJ in all the 19 northern states. |

Dannyset: Lolz! It's unfortunate how you raise your hope to the high heavens and crash land like a dead whale. No matter how you shuffle the cards, Atiku can't pull any string against Buhari anywhere except in PDP strong holds and this time around results won't be written in those places because most of the Governors are being careful.
It is also laughable how this man is banking on Titi to get SW votes, that's too myopic. Though in SW we don't vote blindly because it's about issue based and not sentiment and that's one of the reasons Atiku won't sell here because we know he is corrupt.
It's just 2 weeks to the election. Let's see how it goes. 14days more Nigerians will unleash their wrath on buhari/apc. Nigerians are certainly more than buharideens. |

franchasng: Please sir don't waste your vote, its either Atiku or Buhari that will win the election.
Sowore just want to make name and maybe prepare for next 8 years election. Same with Olawepo Hashim and Moghalu.
Due to Nigeria's unofficial but recognized Presidential zoning system, the battle is between Atiku and Buhari.
And we have tried Buhari and have seen the best of Buhari which is far below average, it is safer and saner we try Atiku and see his own best and if its not good enough, we try another person.
This is the only way to change Nigeria. We need to reach Nigerian Presidents and Governors that there is nothing like power of incumbency to win reelection again in Nigeria but based on great performance only.
If we achieve to vote out Buhari, believe me, every incoming Nigerian President will never take Nigerians for granted again, they will work hard to deliver on their key campaign promises but if Buhari succeeds in rigging the election and wins, it spells doom for Nigeria's democracy and future.
It hurts me that majority of so called enlightened Yorubas aren't seeing this reality. It hurts that Yoruba youths just want to sacrifice Nigeria's future on the promise of making Osinbajo next Nigeria's President that they are not 100% sure out of following a selfish, corrupt man Tinubu even when some wise Yoruba elites have seen the handwriting on the walls, this was why I wanted Atiku to pick Yoruba VP so Yorubas can rest since they love VP and power more than national development, it hurts to share a nation with foolish dafts Stop generalization on yorubas the most liberal people in Nigeria. SW is 50:50 and that is a massive plus for Atiku. |

senatordave1: Sen Babafemi Ojudu
He (VP Yemi Osinbajo) woke up in the morning and dashed to the airport for Yola in Adamawa State to address the annual conference of the Lutheran Church. He stood for 40 minutes without a prepared speech and held the mammoth crowd spell bound.
He moved on from there to Uyo where he did a home visit, visitations to a market in Ikot Ekpene and another in Uyo township.
We thought he was done, suddenly he asked the convoy to stop on the street of Uyo and thousands of people joined him shouting APC and Sai Baba.
We did about two kilometers on the road and with admirers of our party pushing, shoving and making their way to shake hands with him and take selfies.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo addressing the crowd in Akwa Ibom on Friday Vice President Yemi Osinbajo addressing the crowd in Akwa Ibom on Friday From the Street Walk we drove to Ibom Hotels, a good distance from the town and entered a hall filled with men of God. Several questions thereafter he kept going strong on his faith and self discipline being his guide.
Down in a bigger hall were about a thousand business men and entrepreneurs were waiting to be addressed on their concerns on business, government policies as it relates to the South South and Akwa Ibom State.\
READ: Social Investment Programmes to reach more Nigerians – Osinbajo
He calmly took their questions. I heard one in the audience said “this man is a genius”. There was no issue he failed to address from water ways to Oku Iboku Paper Mill Industry, Aluminium Smelting Company at Ikot Abasi to Coastal rail as well as the recurring issue of fighting corruption.
As a younger person with about four years in between us my legs were already reluctant and failing to obey me. He keeps going on and on and you begin to wonder what about this professor and pastor?

I have been part of campaigns since 1999 when I traveled around with an uncle who who was a top member of the Unity Party of Nigeria, my foray into campus politics, professional unionism down to my work with Bola Tinubu in 1999 and the Ekiti engagements I have never seen anything like this.
I am sneezing as I am writing and my nose running with Dr Ebi Awosika passing tissue paper to me but my principal is still bouncing as if he just got up from bed at the crow of the cock at dawn. I thought I was strong here is someone stronger than strong.
You know what he must still get to Lagos tonight and he will drive to Ogun State for an engagement. What a life? What a day? What a man?
Buhari will get 40% here When govt bootlicker talk you know them. Buhari won't smell 20% in akwa Ibom. I only pity akpabio a true pdp blood now in wilderness. |

Again, he will win taraba, adamawa and dead heat gombe and bauchi. He will get 25%+ in yobe/borno. Now, SW the states of osun, ondo, Ekiti are for atiku. Lagos, ogun and Oyo will be bumper to bumper. NW;jigawa, sokoto are already for Atiku while kaduna, kano, zamfara and kebbi are close to call. only katsina is sure for buhari even that, the margin will be significantly reduced. |
Politics › Re: BREAKING: Atiku Will Win 2019 Presidential Elections - The Economist Magazine by paq1: 5:52am On Feb 02, 2019 |
bender79: I've looked at the electoral map once again. It tells me that Buhari is ahead- SW - buhari will win 7Oparcent of the votes reason: SW is an APC territory with formidable foot soldiers on ground. For now there is no prominent pdp leader who can turn things around for Atiku. The only place where Atiku has a chance in SW is in the cosmopolitan areas particularly in Lagos which will not amount to huge votes. NE- buhari will win 80parcent of votes- reason - Although Atiku is from NE there hasn't been any indication to show that the region is under his purse. Atiku has never commanded great followership in that region not even adamawa. He is seen more like an outsider as compared to buhari. NW- buhari will win 60parcent of the votes-This is a natural habitat of buhari. However there has been concious effort by the pdp to make in roads there. This matter throw up a bit of challenge but buhari still dominates. NC- 50-50 too close to call. But because of power of incumbency I will give it a slight win for buhari particularly in Kwara,Kogi,Niger,Nassarawa states. SS- Atiku will win with 70parcent of votes. Although APC may do better than 2015 elections. SS is a pdp teritory and I don't see APC winning this. SE - This is Atiku's best win for the day.90parcent votes will go for the pdp. APC will perform woefully here. APC is not rooted in the SE not even in their hearts. No chance for APC here. Wack analysis. Wait for February 16th when Nigerians will unleash their wrath on Buhaari/apc. |

oseremhe: Atiku's supporters are becoming tepid reality is slowly downing on them hence the need to induce defensive mechanisms as shown by nonsensical, puerile, acerbic and uninformed comments on the person of President Buhari.
mind you it's practically impossible for atiku to win this election as things stands now the north east where he is from, will be comfortably won by buhari.
For us in the ABM we are not bothered as this election is a stroll in the pack.
an election were one is sure of victory in four out of six geopolitical zones is not an election, it is an attestation.
so we advise idle minds to go find something to do instead of wasting precious time on the internet defending a man who openly bribed delegates in glare of the public, five thousand dollars per head to secure his parties nomination.
hypocritical attacks on the internet would do little to affect the outcome of this election as majority of those who will cast their votes on election day are farmers, peasants and rural dwellers who obviously are the biggest beneficiaries of this administrations agricultural revolution particularly in the area of local rice production, the country now saves about five million dollars daily, these funds no doubt are now domiciled in the pockets of those in the agricultural sector as many have been catapulted from barefoot peasantry to instant millionaires.
It's obvious the superfluous shenanigans currently making waves in the internet by PDP apologist perhaps still recovering from the 2015, depilating heart wrenching defeat with the nexus of post calamity depression are out online in desperate bids to redouble their efforts in other to prevent another emotional calamity akin to double jeopardy
We advise that Nigerians do away with hate, it obscures the mind and create room for pathological irrationality. perhaps deliberate scandefreud is being deliberately dished out by the PDP in a bid to hold spell bound an army of believers and creates the false impression of rigging in view of the present political reality of defeat, which presently has induced a hush of mad desperation
God willing, this country will move to the next level and it is our prayer that the destructive puerile machinations of corruption and those steering its wheel wherever they are, either in the PDP or APC will nose dive to the abyss of political oblivion and incapacitative irrelevance.
Comrade Wilfred, President ABM Long epistle anyway, buhari is a goner. #PresidenntElectAtiku2019 insha allah |
