TITOPE: Anybody supporting this government is a wicked person
Back when petrol sold for ₦97 during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan, the atmosphere felt tense. People spoke up loudly. Protests filled the streets. Social media, even in its earlier days, was full of frustration. The general mood was simple, this is too much, something has to change.
Fast forward to today, with petrol hovering around ₦1350 under President Bola Tinubu, the reaction feels different. Not entirely silent, no, but more divided. Some still complain openly, others defend the situation, often with phrases like “on your mandate we shall stand.
It raises an uncomfortable question. Is it really about the price of fuel, or the person in charge?
Maybe it’s politics. Maybe loyalty. Maybe fatigue. Or maybe people have just adjusted their expectations over time.
But one thing is hard to ignore, the contrast is loud. Almost too loud to pretend it doesn’t exist.
press9jatv: Give Akinwumi Ambode the gubernatorial ticket and watch Lagosians rally behind him massively, regardless of tribal or religious differences.
With him on the ballot, the APC in Lagos would have far less work to do in 2027.
From opinions across the streets of Lagos, Ambode seems to enjoy more support than other aspirants. The real question, however, is whether the Lagos GAC members and Baba Eko will back his return.
Fingers crossed!
The same Ambode who stop the blue light rail project because he had an issue with his party members in Lagos?
Streetinvestor2: It was SW president blood that was used to speed it up as u claim. The road that would have been completed since and they are not serious. It is never Tinubu initiative instead they delayed the project. Is it not a shame they are celebrating 15 km in over 3 yrs
Why did Buhari not build it in 8 years he was in power?
Why did the PDP fail to build it for 16 years they were in power?
mrvitalis: Tinubu didn't initiate the project He didn't fund the project He has no power to stop the project . So giving him praise for a project he has no hand in shows how desperately he and his supporters are
A project that has faced years of delays is moving at a great pace, you're here getting bitter because of it.
gidgiddy: The much hyped State visit to the UK has come and gone. Now we have a more clear idea of what he went there to do. Beyond the party in Windsor and the visit to 10 Downing Street, it is clear that Tinubu went to ask for a loan of 746 Million Pounds. I dont want to check how much that is in Naira before my head shatters
Please do not be received into thinking this is an investment, Britain gives no country £746 million for nothing. A recent statement by ADC's National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, explained what the money is for. He said the APC government has tried to pass off the deal as Tinubu’s major achievement, it was in fact an achievement of the UK Government, which, through this deal, has managed to save its steel industry, protect thousands of UK jobs, and get Nigeria to pay for it.
”Although the APC government has tried to hoodwink Nigerians by portraying the agreement to rehabilitate the Tin Can and Apapa Ports in Lagos as a diplomatic success, it is, in reality, a commercial loan arrangement with conditionalities that ensure that a substantial portion of the funds either remains within the United Kingdom or is repatriated back to it.
”Based on information available on the UK Government website, which described the deal as a ‘major vote of confidence in UK manufacturing’, the £746 million agreement will be delivered through UK Export Finance’s (UKEF) Buyer Credit Facility and arranged by Citibank, N.A., London Branch.
“UKEF is the UK Government’s export credit agency. Its Buyer Credit Facility enables foreign buyers to access financing from commercial banks to procure UK goods and services, typically for projects that require significant UK content participation.
”In simple terms, UKEF guarantees a loan obtained by a foreign buyer from a commercial bank, which is then used to pay for UK goods and services, with the bank paying the UK exporter directly on behalf of the buyer.
”Under this agreement, at least £236 million of the £746 million in supplier contracts will be awarded to British companies, while British Steel will supply 120,000 tonnes of steel billets under a £70 million contract, representing its largest UKEF-backed export order, for port rehabilitation projects,” Abdullahi stated.
He said that the ADC was particularly concerned that the Nigerian government has entered into an agreement that left the country at a clear disadvantage, seemingly in exchange for a few hours of pomp and pageantry, and as part of a broader attempt to secure foreign validation, even as millions of Nigerians continue to face poverty, unemployment, and worsening insecurity.
But here’s the real question: 👉 Is Abia improving under Otti? 👉 And how does it compare to Ondo State under Lucky Aiyedatiwa?
In this video, we break it down with no bias, no noise — just facts, perception, and reality: Infrastructure & road development Economy & cost of living Healthcare system (keke ambulance vs modern buses) Education & human capital Agriculture potential Power supply (24/7 electricity claims) Security concerns in both states This is not just politics — it’s about performance. Watch till the end and decide: Who is really working?
Eriokanmi: Which fake news channel is the whistler again? He had told you guys several times that he had no business in ADC and the APC. Kwakwanso is one of the politicians i respect so much in Nigeria and I told him this once, at the Abuja airport. We boarded same flight from lagos. He was so happy when I told him so.
He's never power-drunk but only after the welfare of the people. He's a key political figure in the north who is so much respected. I remember when apc supporters were drooling over his rumoured defection to the apc here on NL and being tipped for the VP slot. I wish they knew this man truly.

SUPERPACK: Enugu State covers a total land area of approximately 7,161 square kilometers (716,000 hectares). Ezeagu is also one of the largest in landmass in the state.
He said Enugu not Enugu state. There's a difference between the two
magoo10: Until corruption fight is spread across all boards especially when it has to do with politically exposed persons not minding whether he is in apc or not or whether he just decamped to the apc this is all childs play and political deceit.
