Bobloco: Leave the Igbos out of your frustrations and face the north
The OP is an Igbo man and lots of Igbo man like him don't want the bill to he passed just to feel good.
The bill will eventually be passed and Tinubu will rule Nigeria till 2031, Igbos wailing and hate won't change this reality
Only you Igbos are creating threads up and down nairaland talking about how the north will kill the bill... You bitter souls will eventually be put to ashame as usual. This is how you guys were against a Yoruba man ruling Nigeria
XerXers: You always compromise too much for useless "victory".
What compromise are you talking about? Is a Yoruba Man not the President of Nigeria? Tinubu is the president and he will rule till 2031. You Igbos can keep on wailing all you want
XerXers: Tinupooo only bought inec with drug money. Governing a country is different from from running a drug cartel reason why he remain clueless with his mediocre Yoruba team
Tinubu is your president and he will rule till 2031. Your wailing on nairaland won't change this reality.
Kukutente23: This is apt confirmation of my point. This pro govt account here is blaming the Igbo for a bill that majority of Igbo support. He's also forming daft to the issues raised to avoid speaking against the north. He should highlight where i used the word "withdrawn" in the Op. He's looking to make it an Igbo vs Yoruba fight while the bill is being bullied by the north. Meanwhile on this same thread, here's a northern moniker gloating about having their god by the balls whom he's deliberately blind to.
A lot of Igbos like you want the bill to fail just the way you never wanted a Yoruba man to become the president of Nigeria.
Even if the bill is not passed, supreme court will give judgement in favor of Rivers and Lagos state. So is still a win win situation. But I have the believe the bills will be passed and Igbos like you will be put to shame once more
phorget: You still found a way to mention igbo, Tilumbu a yoruba president proposed a bill to which hausa the slave masters rejected... how exactly did igbos got involved in a slave and master tirades?🤷♂️ If not for yoruba cowardice nature I'm sure you know that igbos would have pulled out of your country long time ago, if you really want to know a fear-fear tribe then I'll suggest you look inwardly within your own tribe.
A Yoruba man challenged northern cabals in the APC and defeated them, now a Yoruba man is the president of Nigeria. Obi couldn't face the northern cabals in the PDP, he fled to a lesser known party.
A lot of you Igbos like the OP want the bill to fail
The bill will eventually be passed with states keeping 60% of what they generate.
PressMyButton: Does this one have any sense at all?.. Is this the first time a bill would be suspended for further consultations?. If the bill was withdrawn, I would have agreed with you but you're so dull to understand that a committee has been set up to meet with the AGF to work around the bill. So, why are you in hurry to gloat and embarrass your family online.
I wander where he read the bill has been withdrawn. Igbos fear and respect Hausa and Fulanis a lot.
Iceberg3: Congratulations to you o,at least we now know what you spend your life and existence on, waiting and watching out for other people's opinions over news and information...hope you have bought car and build house from the outcome
festacman: All these cities you mentioned are in state of industrial inertia as speak. Nigeria's economy is in shambles. And so far, there is no roadmap from the FG to work with state governments to revive the economy. It's all taxation. The three tiers of government happily share oil money and mutually accuse each other of being lazy.
And by the way, I don't do tribal rat race.
Why's Enugu not as industrualise as Ibadan and Kaduna even though the 3 of them were regional capital? That's the question
Even though Enugu was one of the regional capital, it can't compete with her peers
Lagos was former capital of Nigeria with ports and other infrastructure put in place by FG
Don't you guys get tired of this bullsheet talk
Ikorodu is not part of the federal territory of Lagos, no local government is generating as much as ikorodu all over the 36 states of Nigeria. More than 90% of present day Lagos state was never part of the capital.
Lagos has been developing even before Nigeria was created
How you clowns downgrade what the APC/ACN/AD has done in Lagos state is insulting.
Enugu was the former capital of eastern Nigeria, why is it not generating as much revenue as Ibadan the capital of western Nigeria?
Why's Enugu not as industrualise as Ibadan and Kaduna?
Oluboh: Jesutega Onokpasa, a lawyer and outspoken supporter of former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, has once again defended the embattled politician amidst fraud allegations. In a fiery interview, Onokpasa downplayed the accusations, attributing them to political rivalries within Kogi State. “What did Yahaya even do? This is just about the politics of Kogi State, whether Usman Ododo will come back or not. We’re the members of the party. We know what’s going on,” he asserted. He questioned the validity of the fraud charges against Bello, who is accused by the EFCC of misappropriating over N110 billion during his tenure as governor. “Which money did Yahaya steal? From where? How much money is in Kogi State?” Onokpasa asked rhetorically, dismissing the charges as baseless and politically motivated.
Reaffirming his loyalty to Bello, Onokpasa made his position clear with an impassioned statement. “I’m with Yahaya Bello; anybody who doesn’t like it can go to Sapele and jump into River Etiok. It’s the deepest river in West Africa.” His remarks reflect a deep-rooted conviction that the allegations against Bello are part of a larger political agenda within their party.
