bjcole: Where is electricity stable for 18 to 22 hrs? Can you pls educate us , because here in Lagos I m staying, electricity is a thrash compared to what we enjoyed under buhari. And again there is nothing Tinubu would do that would make much impact to the people as far as prices of foodstuffs, goods and services keep increasing on a regular basis. It's almost Christmas, and there are no signs of festivities and glamour that we are used to. Don't speak on behalf of every part of Lagos state, there are areas that fall under Band A and B in Lagos that enjoy power supply |

dalitigator: True talk. This man is a silent working monster. Within 2 years, petroleum products import has dropped by over 80%. Nigeria now exports refined crude. I am just praying this tax reform bill scales through. By 2027, Nigeria should also be a net exporter of Agricultral products. Electricity is stable 18 to 22 hrs daily. Just Imagine what he will do before 2027.
Most states will definitely go back to massive large scale farming if they can longer rush to Abuja for free money. The states will still be getting free oil money whether they generate money from VAT or not. When the tax reform bill become a law, the states will be getting more money from VAT |

MossadAgent: What you should take away here is that the Naira is appreciating and it isn't down to the CBN defending the Naira artificially but through solid reforms.
If this trend continues, the true value of the Naira will continue to appreciate .
You should have asked how come Naira became so weak after floating it .
And you will find out that it was due to the reckless ways and means extended to the last government and backed only by fiat printing.
If your useless Emefile had done the right thing and upheld fiduciary discipline in defending and managing the currency supply we won't be here.
Emefile and his printing press is why we are here today but in due time, the FX window is being used to mop up excess Naira from circulation which Emefile intended to do with his failed cash heist. There was a lot of naira chasing few dollars and goods/services under Emefiele. Emefiele is the reason dollar rate and inflation is very high. Some Nigerians who got CBN loans under Emefiele used it to japa, some people used it to buy $,£ and € they didn't need. |

DeepSight: Perhaps you dont know what the oversight function of parliament is. Small time you will say a court doesnt have power over him since courts didnt appoint him.
You have to understand process. Under the oversight function parliament can look into the activities of the executive at every level.
We simply have wimps as NASS. If you had a vigorous NASS, you will know what they can do.
Do you know what it is to have the power to make laws?
Do you know what it is to have the power to decide what and what every penny of every budget is spent on?
Tell me, those bulldozers he is sending about, do you understand that NASS has to approve even the petrol in them?
As NASS, You can do almost anything.
But bribery, division, ass licking, etc will not allow them.

Politics › Re: Wike And Abuja Land Re-allocation: Tinubu's Silence Deafening by Paraman: 4:55pm On Dec 12, 2024 |
naijaking1: Nigerians have never had an FCT minister whose #1 priority seems to be canceling people's land allocations on any slight pretex, and then re-allocating same to himself, his friends and partners. Sometimes, the re-allocation is even done before the cancellation. This shows the motive behind the whole process. These plots are either in high brow areas of Abuja with obvious high commercial value, or already well developed! So, the questions are:
Why's Tinubu silent? Does the president approve of this day light robbery? Is Tinubu getting part of the financial proceeds from Wike's land stealing adventure? Is this some sort of political payback to Wike? Why's tinubu allowing this ugly Rivers style political and economic precedence, knowing that a new person will occupy the office in the future? If Abuja becomes a city where legal properties are not safe from marauding politicians like Wike, who would want to invest there tomorrow?
The earlier Nigerians blame Tinubu for Wike's excess the better, because he can stop this land grabbing in a minute if he wants to do so. I wander why you guys are wailing like this. Wike has done nothing wrong on this issue |
