Abrahamovic(Chelsea owner) opted to honor him by not just allowing him to leave but also to choose any club of his choice and I feel he should reciprocted the respect by moving to any other top club but arsenal fc ...this would have been a good way to show respect to Jose mourhino and cheslea as a club...

Do a Nairaland search for 'Valencia Clyne' and see what your fellow fans on this thread were saying about the matter before he signed for Liverpool. As for Coleman, He's arguably only had one fantastic season(Martinez's first year) but that's a different matter entirely.

I agree you have the financial power...but that's really beside the point. United are arguably the biggest brand in the UK, but how many stars at the peak of their powers have you been able to lure to England with that financial power over the last 20 years?

There's a reason why most of the top players in the world are concentrated in just 3 European clubs.

Anyway, it seems that decent conversation cannot be had on this thread about football without insults or accusations of trolling, so I will shut up now.

Clyne is better than Valencia and Rafael has been dropped from the team by two consecutive managers.

Manyoo is not really in a position of strength in European football right now, and you guys have had to significantly overpay to attract players of the 'right' calibre.

I mean a player like Schweinsteiger for example, is virtually guaranteed another Bundesliga title and at least a round of 16 spot in the UCL....before the league has even started! The only way to tempt that kind of player is to throw a lot of cash at him....and when he inevitably fails to perform in a manner as should befit the wage packet/transfer fee...it would be the whole Rooney/Falcao/Shaw/Di Maria argument again.

Whether or not Schweinsteiger and/or Muller have been contacted by your club is irrelevant, these players are just examples of players that fit the player profile that Manyoo are looking for....and IMO it looks like LVG maybe making the same Mistakes that Moyes made

We need the players mostly together for pre-season.
One of our issues last season was lack of a proper pre-season with van Gaal. This time he is available but we are yet to sort the signings out.I am of the belief that we need our signings sorted out as early as possible this year so we can get some chemistry working.

The problem man utd is facing now, and will continue to face, is the lack, or let me say absence of a game changer. man utd is full of average players with no player that can break a defence or give a defence spliting pass.

most big clubs have either one or two player that does this things in a match so they bank on them when the going gets tough.

man utd need a player with that x-factor in the team, even chelsea bank on hazard and he was the difference in the last match we played. arsenal has alexis although he does not always stand out but he is there.

chelsea can point to hazard,arsenal can also point to sanchez,mancity can point to aguero (when injury free), man utd can point to who? i know de gea was our main man last season but after him, its just an average season for rest of the players...

di maria showed a glimse of that last season i'll be hoping he hit the ground this season or maybe depay will just be the man.....
