Ladies, let's gist.

If you ask the average 16-20-year-old to tell you what she wants in a man, it's not uncommon to hear her launch into a list of Messiah-like qualities.

It's funny to us now, but we all had similar lists at some point (some still do, and please enjoy it while it lasts).

My list scared me so much that sometimes, I felt I was going to remain single forever. Even when I prayed at night, I'd take so long reciting everything on my list so that God would know who he was sending my way. My friends and I spent a lot of time back then reading romance novels and the way the authors described the heroes fvcked up our imaginations .

I wanted:

-Tall
-Italian half-caste with very yellow skin
-Gorgeous shoulder-length jet-black hair
- Eight packs
-Catholic like me
-Tech savvy like me
- Extremely intelligent
-Smiling and cheerful
- stinkingly rich
-God-fearing (ever lady's list features this, even the atheists )
- Cool-tempered
- light brown eyes
- full red lips (lol, I was literally dreaming for a man doll)
-Amazing in za oza room

And all the other regular stuff like loving, romantic, funny, caring, gentle, kind, and so on.

Yimnu, no be like that ooo... By the time I hit 21 - 22, me was not doing again . I just wanted someone with whom I shared a strong attraction. A decent man who had a good head on his shoulders, a steady source of income and ambition.

When my list became reasonable and meaningful, I guess I found one who checked out . Guess what? I married that "big head".

He had some of the qualities on my first list shaa, like he's Catholic and tech savvy, tall and intelligent. But uncle is not Italian, he has brown skin and he does not like smiling .

It's different when a woman decides that she does not want to get married. Marriage is not for everyone and society needs to evolve to a time when it stops shaming single ladies.

However, some who may really want to be married are getting held up by the unrealistic qualities they seek in a life partner. It's your life, sure, but only Jesus is perfect Nne. Chase attraction and compatibility and quit looking for perfection. This doesn't mean you should settle for the first shit-head that comes your way or over-lowering your standards, but let's try not to chase a reflection of our 8-year-old imaginations.

So ladies, what changed about your own list? Even if you're not married yet, give us your evolved status .

Good evening mamas am not here to quote anybody but to emphasize on doing what works for you during pregnancy, concerning this cold water issue, when I was pregnant mine came with spitting, has a teacher I carried my spit bottle to class, so I could teach, there was a particular senior class that the spitting didn't go down well with them, they love me yes but couldn't stand me teaching and every seconds spitting, so they always gave me things to chew but the issue with my spitting is the more I chew anything the more the spit increases, a particular day in class a student offered me ice cream and it did the magic at least in that class the spitting reduced. so if am going to that class those children will just set ice cream down for me because they don't want to see me spit, before I finish the class i would have sipped 3 fan yoghurt then when I get to the staffroom my spitting continues or doubles ganself so just listen to your body and do what works for you, there was a time during the pregnancy if I don't drink coke in a day my body will vex, did that till The day I gave birth, just do you it might be wrong for another person but right for you

Maam's abeg help me put mouth, what normally makes someone body shake sometimes if you don't eat on time during pregnancy. I don't always feel hungry but after eating the shaking will stop. Did anyone experience the same?

It is food oo please eat o that shaking can be terrible sometimes I shake and stay on the floor and be weak till they bring food , don't stay hungry or tell yourself you don't feel hungry always snack on something light abeg.

Was having little pinkish spotting since yesterday. Today it came with menstrual cramp symptoms and lot of bleeding with clot, rushed to the ER and scan showed empty womb. I miscarried my 10+ week pregnancy today

I will be more heart broken when my almost 3 year old baby raise my blouse to say baby "I love you" like his usual self. How can I tell him NO MORE BABY

Sorry mummy I know the feeling try drinking watery pap or pepper soup, it was palm wine that worked for me just a sip and the breast milk will flow I only took it for the first few weeks after that the breast mik flowed on its own.

I was also very worried but I think mummies we worry unnecessarily. As for food, that he's not eating now doesn't mean he won't be eating by the time you're ready to wean him.

Since he takes pap you can try other cereals or purees.

is it really necessary for a 1yr old child to start creche b4 KG1?
Wat do they actually do in creche apart from d feeding and general childcare activities?
Pple keep telling me to take my child who just clocked 1 and yet to walk to creche.
Really want to know if it improves d child more in other aspects.

From my own experience the child gets to socialise more, my baby started at 3 months cause I had to resume work, after sometime and till now he loves going to the creche mixing up and playing with his friends anytime I take him to my mums place he feels isolated after sometime cause no friends around to play with, most times if I go pick him he is joyful and happy or sleeping peacefully after enough play, depending on your choice ma'am
