I am wanting to register hmo considering I am ttc and some have policies of non fertility investigations and antenatal in the first year, so in your experience, please tell me about your hmos and if you recommend them. Thanks.

I am yet to hear of an HMO that covers fertility treatment.
But you can stylishly come up with issues for discussions with your GP.
For me, during my TTC i went for the regular government NHIS Vcship, that one covers ANC from day 1 through delivery, no matter the complications.
But non government NHIS insist on sending you to lab, ascertaining your fitness to qualify, in which case, no surgery, or ANC the first 18months.
I will advise you stick to your out of pocket clinic while having your choice insurance by the side for emergency.
Have faith, take the move and God will surprise you.
Am in Abuja... my HMO is Markfema, if you want regular NHIS and your work place does not subscribe you, just walk into any NHIS office and register for Vcship at 15k.

Signs of Gestational hypertension and shouldn't be perceived easy if swelling does not subside with time..It could also be related to early sign to pre-eclampsia.

• you may need have food with reduced salt intake. please take salt for proper thyroid function and the baby as well...
•intake of diet with enough potassium content( is this not theory?) Talk with a dietitian on this,he or she may help with list of food having high potassium content
• Avoid use of caffeinated teas or tea similar..
•some experience mothers I have come across prefer eating bananas, try on it.
• Avoid sedentary lifestyle;avoid over standing for a
longtime too
•massage the leg or place of swolleness every morning and before going to bed...

Just post your EDD ... so that Mommas can relate with timing.
I am in Abuja, i use Garki Specialist Hospital, Area 8. Love them so much cos of their automated computerised system...minimal to zero room for errors.
And it's a partnership with one of the ace Gynea in Abuja. (My opinion). Here you have options of:
1. Regular Doctor
2. Senior Reg(mine... cos I love seeing different doctors for varying opinions).
3. Consultant(didn't enjoy This, just one doctor to you at all apppimtment)

It's a preventive measure, please take.
I took Fansidar the first dose 19weeks, then Maldox at 28weeks.
Please don't contemplate.
