So there's been some conversations around affordability of a masters degree in the UK and all the twitter post.

First things, education is not an exclusive right f the super rich. If your family can afford it fine, if they cant, then take a student loan. As long as you're sure that's the best step for you at the time and it can be justified. Student loan is not a new thing! More than half the students in your class (if you have Britons, Americans or Europeans) would be on student loan. So if you're thinking to take a loan from nig to fund your education, please go for it. The people granting your visa are aware!!, That's how most of them went to college. You wont be the first and you wont be the last. Africa and student loan is a different conversation altogether.

Secondly, hustle. There's no problem with hustling as long as it doesn't affect your education!! Again you need to understand how their system works. Its slightly different from ours. For us, we finish secondary school, write JAMB and move straight to Uni. No need to work. Education is already heavily subsidised. So for most of us, its already very affordable especially if you're in federal or state university. For Britons, its not the case (except you're scottish - another conversation as well). Education is expensive. Infact, you really don't have to go beyond college (secondary school) if you cant afford it. Masters is almost exclusive for super brilliant students - and that's why you would hardly have Britons as masters classmate. Mostly your classmate will be Africans, Indians and Asians (a few Euopeans)
Back to my point, after college, most of the ones that want to continue education would take a year out to work (usually what you call menial jobs) to raise money in addition to the student loan they would take for when they start uni. They would usually work as carers, bar attendants, cleaners, shop attendants etc

So if you put these together, what they do is not very different from what you will do when you arrive the UK. And because you haven't taken a student loan, there's alot more pressure on you to achieve much more in such short time frame (thank God for PSW now) - hence what you call 'hustle'. And ofcourse, with our very weak exchange rate, even your Nigerian savings doesn't really cut it.

For those who want to work while they school, be rest assured the system understands. As long as you stick to your 20hrs during term time and your school work is not suffering.

And if you're so rich or supported that you don't need to work, please face your studies and have fun - most of the Chinese students don't work. Either because their govt supports them or the language barrier.

Zenith and UBA do give dollar atm as far as I know.

Everybody pays that standard amount 348 pounds. Then on the tls site, if you want your application to be processed in 5 days you will have to pay priority which is 220 pounds.

If you can not combine both, just keep quiet. Not everyone is lazy. Do you think the government that made it so for you to work and study was a fool. How many courses are you doing in a semester. Just about 4 or 5. Don't discourage people that can study and hustle. Nigerians are intelligent and working and study is never a problem for them. So don't talk what you don't know. You can keep studying and sleeping but please allow those who can study and work. If it weren't possible, the government wouldn't have allowed it.

That mail you got is acknowledgment to the email you sent. Before Tuesday, day will send your your appointment date. Don't worry.

please I need advise. I got an unconditional offer for Jan intake to UWE. To issue CAS, they requested for bank statement and TB certificate. I sent an email to iomlagosmedicalbooking@iom.int requesting for an appointment. I got an automated reply asking me to do it online through a link. When I checked the link, the earliest date in Lagos for appointment was December 20th 2021 which would obviously not allow me time to process CAS not to talk of Visa. Please how do I go around this as I need the TB certificate to even get CAS.

Any payment that is above $100 can not go through because $100 is the maximum speed limit per day. So you wont be able to use it. What you can do is to book through an agent

FD is very much acceptable. Please read financial requirements of UKVI. It's stated there. What you need to use is certificate of deposit.

Filing for an appeal is a waste of time. Go and apply again. This time do what the UKVI asked you to do. Na una find trouble. The rule says the money should be in your personal account or your parents account. The company account is not his account. It's a company account, irrespective of him being the owner or sole signatory to that account. You should have told your Dad to move the money to his own personal account or your own personal account. If you file AR, their decision will still be same. So I will advise that you seek for another CAS if you still have time or you differ to January.

The reason for refusal was because company's statement of account does not carry my sponsorship name.

I submitted my Dad's company statement of account and a supporting letter from the bank indicating he his the sole signatory to the account.

I would like to apply for an administrative review. What are the likely supporting evidence i should submit along with it.

Listen carefully. I will explain it now and you will understand it quickly.
1: The 28 days means that if you put the money in account on 1st of September, the money will have to be in the account for at least 28 days, what this mean is that you can print your statement on 29th of September.

2: What that 31 days means is that if you you printed you statement on 29th of September, you can still use it to submit for you visa even it till 29th of October. Then after that date you can not use it again. You will have to print a fresh one.

If you mean covid-19 test in the UK (2 and 8 day test) it will not work because the current limit is now $100 and the test kit I guess is a over $100. You should use UBA Africard dollar version. This will work. Or use the barter by fluterwave.

All these banks will be taking different decision. What does the Visa terms has to do with PTA. Did they tell them that one can just start working the day he arrives UK. If the CBN has given the order why not carry it out. Too bad

Yes, did you make sure you actually submitted. You can try and login back to the application portal to see. Though actually submitted to SHU on 26th of last month. I got acknowledgment that same day I submitted

I just want to mention that, generally speaking this priority service is a waste judging from the timeline of most people that have gotten their visas. You are an intending applicant for January, please start the process now, dont wait till later so you dont have to waste funds on one nonsense priority service, its a sham!.
We need to stop this exploitation that is going on, £220 is a lot to pay and then have high blood pressure on because the service is not forthcoming. Please start early so you can do the standard visa and relax yourself. May God help us all

I agree with a previous person who said we should try and take responsibility for what we ask others to do for us - especially in this instance where you have even paid for the service.

My advice, make a proper application now to UKVI. Explain exactly what you have done wrong before and be genuinely apologetic about your mistake and take responsibility for those actions.
If he's now married to you, present the original documents to show that the relationship is genuine and subsisting. Also let them know you're now expecting and he's the father. I'm more than certain you'll be fine.

Some schools do provide children care for their students. Check with your school if they do. It's usually is free or very little fee.

Marriage certificate will do that. It's not a must that wife passport will bear the same name as the husband. The wahala the govt subject women in the process of changing name has made many husbands to ask their wife to continue using their maiden name
