Yes. They will grant visa provided the validity is more than 6 months at the time of application. Your visa validity can longer than the passport validity. You will only need to carry both of them incase you have acquired another one

Thank you very much for this. I didn't know I could get a 2 years study visa on a passport that has just 7 months validity left. That's what you mean right?...I can still get a visa even if the passport won't be valid for the duration of the study period.

Please can you state what it's incorrect so we can all learn. Because they did not include siblings. When filling the visitor visa you see where they indicate siblings so why did they not do so in student VISA. It's very confusing.

No you don't need POF for the entire study duration. All you need is one year tuition and 9 months maintenance fund.
For the passport please do t go to Ikoyi. I did my capture on 16 June, up till now I ha e not gotten my passport, while someone that capture on 25th of June collected on 4th of August. Stay away from that Ikoyi. They have made me miss September intake. If your passport however, have more than 6 months before expiration when you apply for visa, I will advise you do the renewal in UK

1. I applied to a 2 year masters course, will I still need to cover maintenance cost of 9 months or longer in my proof of funds?

Immigration officers do not have that authorisation to check one's mobile phone. The police however can only if arrested.

Nothing to worry about about. They seeking your consent to share your information with UKVI. They will also help you out in case of any delay when you apply for visa. However,if you have applied for UK visa before, make sure that all the questions that you filled were correct, otherwise dont give that consent.

Exactly, The question is not straightforward. They listed other relations omitting blood relative live father, mother brother and sister. So if one has the people in the UK, it will be very confusing to say YES.

It is good to say the truth always but the question on having a relation is confusing in the visa application. My brother and my sister are my relations but they were not listed on the application as qualifying for what they termed relations. Why should one then say yes when they're rather listing spouse, partner, grandparents, grandchildren, spouse/partner of your child, etc. Or am I the only one that saw that?

Yes you can travel alone with them, but you need consent letter signed by you and your husband to support that's.

Please lets be guarded. The day the you pay for your Visa fee is the day you Make make your student VISA application and not the date of biometric.

Exactly, those two statements are what they are asking you to present again. They state it there.

You can go ahead to pay the deposit. Use Form A it's cheaper than card.
However, you have to wait till it's about 6 months to begin the program before you can start the visa processing

Here are my questions
1. Can i proceed to pay the deposit now?
2. Can i use a dollar card from GTB? Or do i need to go inside the bank to use form A?
3. Are there any other fees i need to add to the rough estimate? tuition has not been decided yet.

I read on UK immigration website that one has to get 70 points (PBS) to be considered for student visa. Where:
Admission is 50 points
Proof of fund 10 points
English 10 points.
As a Nigerian students how do we claim points for proof of English. Is WAEC or NECO a proof for it.

This write does not look good. It seems to me that they did not believe you are the possession of that fund. Why will they request for the statement again while they have the previous one. However, if the money is still intact, you you will have 90 percentage success rate.

Book one way, you can’t no longer book round trip tickets for up to 9 months since Covid happened.

Verve card is an african card and can't be used for transactions beyond africa. Use Master or Visa card.

Sometimes IHS returns 0 payment. Redo it the amount will come out.

I'm applying for a dependent visa now. However when i got to the IHS surcharge part, i discovered the fee was 0$.

I was worried, but saw a part that reads:
You usually need to pay the healthcare surcharge if you’re applying for a visa or immigration application:
for more than 6 months, if you’re applying outside the UK

Then i realized, this could be as a result of the fact that the main applicant (my husband) does not have up to 6 months left on his visa.

Not advisable. You may likely get refused. Tell your husband to apply for phd programs after finishing his current program, then you can apply as dependent.

Have you done your TB test, do it before Visa Application. If done already, print your PoF and proceed to Visa Application
