Politics › Obama-netanyahu ''fallout'' Is Theater...planned In 2009 by patrick89(op): 6:11pm On Mar 02, 2015 |
In a 2009 US policy paper published by the corporate-financier funded Brookings Institution, it was made clear that the US was determined to provoke Iran into a conflict and effect regime change at any cost - up to and including an outright military invasion and occupation of Iran with US troops. However, before it came to that, the Brookings Institution's policymakers explored other options including fomenting US-backed political unrest coupled with covert, violent force, the use of US State Department listed foreign terrorist organizations to carry out assassinations and attacks within Iran, and limited airstrikes carried out by either the US or Israel, or both. In retrospect, 6 years on, all of these tricks have not only been attempted to one degree or another in Iran, but have been demonstrably employed in neighboring Syria to diminish its strength - which according to Brookings - is a necessary prerequisite before waging war on Iran. And of particular interest - considering what appears to be a growing diplomatic row between the United States and Israel - is just how precisely the US planned to covertly back what would be made to appear as a "unilateral" Israeli first strike on Iran - an attack that appears to be in the process of being justified through a carefully orchestrated propaganda campaign now unfolding. From the Mouths of US Policymakers Themselves The Brookings Institution's 2009 policy paper titled, "Which Path to Persia? Options for a New American Strategy Toward Iran," makes clear that negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program is merely theater, and that it will be used to give the world the impression that the United States explored all possible "peaceful" options before resorting to violent regime change. The report states specifically that: "...any military operation against Iran will likely be very unpopular around the world and require the proper international context— both to ensure the logistical support the operation would require and to minimize the blowback from it. "The best way to minimize international opprobrium and maximize support (however, grudging or covert) is to strike only when there is a widespread conviction that the Iranians were given but then rejected a superb offer—one so good that only a regime determined to acquire nuclear weapons and acquire them for the wrong reasons would turn it down. Under those circumstances, the United States (or Israel) could portray its operations as taken in sorrow, not anger, and at least some in the international community would conclude that the Iranians “brought it on themselves” by refusing a very good deal." Of course, Iran - as admitted to by Brookings themselves - is not governed by irrational leadership, and would not turn down a genuinely "superb offer." The Brookings Institution admits openly that the US pursues a dual track foreign policy - one for public consumption (making "superb offers" and another aimed at ensuring Iran looks as unreasonable as possible. At one point in the policy paper, Brookings would state: "The truth is that these all would be challenging cases to make. For that reason, it would be far more preferable if the United States could cite an Iranian provocation as justification for the airstrikes before launching them. Clearly, the more outrageous, the more deadly, and the more unprovoked the Iranian action, the better off the United States would be. "Of course, it would be very difficult for the United States to goad Iran into such a provocation without the rest of the world recognizing this game, which would then undermine it. (One method that would have some possibility of success would be to ratchet up covert regime change efforts in the hope that Tehran would retaliate overtly, or even semi-overtly, which could then be portrayed as an unprovoked act of Iranian aggression.)" Here, Brookings policymakers openly conspire to undermine global peace by "goading" another nation into a war it neither wants nor will benefit from. Provoking a nation that poses no threat to the national security of the United States is a clear violation of international law - with the Brookings paper serving as a literal signed confession. Yet despite this open admission, conspiring against world peace, what is of more interest is the United States' plans to disavow any responsibility for an attack it would use its regional proxy, Israel, to carry out in its place. It states specifically under a chapter titled, "Allowing or Encouraging an Israeli Military Strike," that: "...the most salient advantage this option has over that of an American air campaign is the possibility that Israel alone would be blamed for the attack. If this proves true, then the United States might not have to deal with Iranian retaliation or the diplomatic backlash that would accompany an American military operation against Iran. It could allow Washington to have its cake (delay Iran’s acquisition of a nuclear weapon) and eat it, too (avoid undermining many other U.S. regional diplomatic initiatives)." To no one's surprise the British Daily Mail now reports in an article titled, "President Obama threatened to shoot down Israeli jets if they attacked Iranian nuclear facilities last year, claim sources," that: "President Obama is alleged to have stopped an Israeli military attack against Iran's nuclear facilities in 2014 by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets before they could reach their targets, according to reports to emerge from the Middle East at the weekend "The threat from the U.S. forced Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to abort a planned attack on Iraq, reported Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida. "Netanyahu will be in Washington for an address to Congress on Tuesday aimed squarely at derailing Obama's cherished bid for a diplomatic deal with Tehran." Here, the Daily Mail repeats a growing narrative that dovetails neatly into long-standing US foreign policy described by the Brookings Institution's report in 2009 - down to the letter. In fact, the prospect of "shooting down" Israeli planes was discussed as one of many props used in this geopolitical theater. The US, as prescribed by Brookings, is portrayed as desperately trying to hammer out an almost unreasonably accommodation with Iran, while "mad dog" Israel seeks to unilaterally attack Iran - thus giving the US the plausible deniability it openly claimed it would disingenuously attempt to create ahead of any Israeli attack on Iran. It should be noted that the summation of Israel's military might is a result long, extensive, and continuous US military support meaning that Israeli military operation is even possible without it. Also of interest is Israel's habitual, belligerent, serial acts of inhumanity against both its own people and the Palestinians whose land Tel Aviv has seized and continues to occupy. The nature of these acts is not one of self-preservation, but of intentional provocation - creating predictable political divides across the West easily manipulated particularly at times like these where a "regrettable" attack made upon Iran, a nation the West has thus far failed to topple with terrorism, US-backed sedition, sanctions, and covert provocations, is now in the cards. It is also clear that the 2009 "Which Path to Persia?" policy paper still represents a vivid window into a much deeper and well-entrenched doctrine still to this day being used to reorder the Middle East into alignment with Western special interests. It is a signed confession of a now evident conspiracy against global peace and stability. It should be read, in full, before the United Nations Security Council before those who wrote it and the corporate-financier interests who sponsored it are brought to international justice. Anything less proves that the United States and its regional proxies, not Iran, are the rogue states, working against global peace and stability, with many standing examples already of their atrocities on display, and more - apparently - still to come. |

oduastates: Education goes beyond learning stuffs by rote(cramming ) Education goes beyond stuffing textbooks into your head. Many things are not taught within the 4 walls of a school.like morals, values and habits. Right from home , our forefathers were taught words and opposite and other traditional stuff, which aided their critical thinking processes . That is even before western education came into our land. With the traditional upbringing, also comes civic education, respect for social and economic justice. Now these qualities are printed deep into the soul of every omoluabi. Now let us start taking apart. Buhari definitely had some form of Western education or the other. That we know. Jonathan also had one. However, while buhari might not have been the first class student, Jonathan is definitely not as educated as buhari. His first degree and PhD are suspect. His values and morales are twisted. The crowd he moves around with , is the window through which his every actions, world view and character can be viewed. Buhari is far more grounded and would wield the unitary power of the state far better than Jonathan. You have to go back in history to understand the civic consciousness of omoluabis. It is safe to say that our monarchical democracy was and is still Far more superior than the rubbish being practiced in Nigeria today. We've had had tyrants before as kings and those tyrants were given the bird(commit suicide or die by hanging). Jonathan's government is a tyrannical and government in a way, Obasanjo ( a former dictator) was not. Behaviours like : 1 preventing aeroplane from landing 2 stifling the press 3 seizing newspapers 4 reducing federal institutions into personal freedom. 5 using the military to harass opponents 6 allowing the boko haram problem to fester 7 reducing Nigeria to the button of international joke. 8 rampant federal corruption 9 use of religion and ethnicity to divide the people 10 running an insensitive government. 11 lack of leadership. 12 a destroyed economy. what have Lagos state house of assembly, and punch said on Buhari's certificate? MayorofLagos: http://allafrica.com/stories/201502230916.html
Abakiliki — Presidential candidate of the United Progressives Party (UPP) in the forthcoming general elections, Chekwas Okorie, has stated that the socio-political group Ohanaeze Ndigbo sold Igbo interest to endorse President Goodluck Jonathan for re-election.
Speaking with journalists in Enugu, Okorie decried the situation where Ohanaeze leaders were fighting over bribe obtained for the endorsement of a presidential candidate.
According to him, when an umbrella body of Ndigbo would require inducement to give an endorsement, where lies the Igbo interest?
The UPP chair noted that if the leadership of Ohanaeze had gone to negotiate with the demands of their people, they would no have been asking for inducement to endorse Jonathan's re-election bid.
Okorie said he was surprised that, in spite of the sacrifices he has made for Ohanaeze and Igbo people in general, he offered himself for the presidency, which Igbos have been yearning for, and yet those who call themselves Igbo leaders did not support one of their own, but endorsed Jonathan.
"I feel disappointed. But I feel that Ohanaeze has betrayed Ndigbo more than I feel betrayed. You see, they have brought shame to Ndigbo. Look at an umbrella body like Ohanaeze.
"They are now exposing themselves to public ridicule. They are now accusing them of collection N5 billon for an endorsement and they are denying they didn't collect.
"But, definitely, they are dishing out some money to chapters of Ohanaeze. Where did that money come from? At the same time, the current President-General of Ohanaeze is shamelessly telling the public that Rotimi Amaechi and Rochas Okorocha are funding the other side, that is the Ralph Obioha, Mbazulike Amechi side.
"You now have an Ohanaeze that is drawing money outside Igboland to fight each other. So, I feel disappointed as a person, but I feel sorry for Igbo people because these people have betrayed them," he said.
Meanwhile, former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Frank Ogbuewu, who is the Deputy Coordinator of the Jonathan/Sambo 2015 Presidential Campaign organisation in Ebonyi State, has said that Governor Martin Elechi is against the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan and all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2015 elections.
Ogbuewu, while declaring that the PDP in the state does not need the help of the governor to ensure victory for Jonathan and all it candidates, said that, "Elechi was not a member of PDP and there is no way such character can make Jonathan lose in the state."
Briefing newsmen in Abakaliki, he stressed that though Elechi has no capacity to make Jonathan lose in Ebonyi, the political situation in the state is unique as "this is the first time in the state where a PDP government is working for the opposition Labour Party at the state level and also pretending to be working for the PDP presidential candidate".
Ogbuewu said: "How can Elechi claim he is working for Jonathan when he has not attended any of the PDP rallies in the state? We have a unique situation in Ebonyi.
"Elechi is still a PDP leader in the state because he has not openly denounced his membership but he has no capacity to make the President lose in Ebonyi because he is not a politician and he is not a member of PDP in the first place.
"In fact, the position he is occupying now came by chance. He took my chance, because he was not in the picture when an Ikwo man was needed".
He also re-affirmed that the governorship candidature of Dave Umahi has once more united all the stakeholders and political bigwigs in the state, expressing optimism that Ebonyi would be better off by the time Umahi wins because people would be free to volunteer ideas and money to develop the state. we have heard you.. Politics › Re: Jonathan Distributed Dollars To Lagosians - Fashola by patrick89(m): 10:33pm On Feb 23, 2015 |
sincerenigerian: Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, on Sunday alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan had spent five days in the state, holding meetings with different people and doling out monies in hard currencies them.
Consequently, the governor described the president’s alleged outreach to different groups including traditional rulers, cooperative societies and market women among others as an act of desperation.
Fashola, who spoke after inspecting some ongoing projects in Ibeju-Lekki and on Lagos Island yesterday, expressed disappointment at some statements credited to the president at meetings with the interest groups at the State House, Marina.
He said: “I want to assume that he did not make a statement that he would deliver Lagos residents from bondage. The question to ask Mr. President is whether he had come to free them from bondage.
“He was here for five days meeting with different people and groups, distributing money in dollars. It is an un-presidential statement made in an act of desperation. That means he lived in bondage in five days if he had come into the state to free people.
“If he can live here for five days moving with patrol vehicles that we paid for, let him go and spend five days in Chibok and he will know what bondage is,” the governor said while reacting to statements credited to the president.
While inspecting a new cemetery in Ibeju-Lekki, the governor openly disclosed that he bought his own vault where his remains would be buried when he joined his ancestors more than four years ago.
He observed that death “is a necessary end that will come when it will come”, quoting Shakespeare, saying there is need for people to prepare for it. “We are here to inspect a cemetery. We often do not like to talk about, but there is a need for it because the population continue to expand and the Lekki sub- region is growing very fast.
“If you look at Ikoyi Cemetery, Abari Cemetery and all of that are more than 100 years old, they were built by colonialists and left behind for us. When you look at the way they have also managed them, many families cannot even visit the vaults where their loved ones are resting.
“We have this strategic partnership now with private sector. The investors are going to deliver a cemetery like no other. They will manage it and make the cost also competitive. There will be high, medium and low density vaults for people who really want to make a statement at their exit.
“It is the truism of life that everyone who comes must go so as we are building hospitals, roads, schools imbibing survival strategy we must also plan for the end. This sounds as something people do not want to discuss. I have bought my vault. It surprises people. I paid for it four years ago. As I always tell people if you come here for life you must plan to go. Those who do not want to go should not come.”
At the inspection of Lagos Court of Arbitration, the governor noted that plans had been concluded by his administration to unveil the first international arbitration court in West Africa sub- region, saying the compelling need to resolve trade disputes locally rather than travelling to London and Paris informed the setting up of the centre in the state.
According to him, “this is the place for dispute resolution. It is the Lagos Arbitration centre. We could save a lot of money and create employment through this court. We have lost a lot of funds to other countries in terms of arbitration in the past. When dispute arise in Nigeria, the preferred place is either Paris, France or London, United Kingdom.”
He, therefore, observed that the centre “is nothing special there. All we need is to create a centre that will have the necessary reputation. We have the personnel because some of the best arbitrators in the continent are Nigerians. We also have the economy for the arbitration because a lot of construction, development and Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects are ongoing. Dispute from there could be resolved here.”

My people, because of the tireless and fearless work that we do at CUPS, which involves enlightening our people on how to save themselves from corruption, misrule, tyranny, occupation, and genocide, we get a lot of leaked information from informants in Nigeria. Some of it is excellent, and some of it is just recycled conspiracy ideas on Facebook. Meanwhile we at CUPS have near perfected ways of verifying leaked information sent to us using different techniques, including the use of digital forensics, which is one of my fields of expertise as a Computer Security Research Scientist. We therefore don't publish any story unless be really believe there are elements of truth in it.
The story below reached us this morning (23/02/2015). It came from one of our reliable sources in Nigeria. It is one of the most disturbing stories that we have yet received. Read it and make your own judgement!
“I have it on a strong ground that there is a plan to capture a Shekau before the week to elections. And the captured Shekau who is currently undergoing training on what to say and do will mention Buhari as one of their core sponsors. The target according to the source is to discourage Southern voters and the Northern Christians (from liking Buhari). The confession is alleged to be so perfectly planned that Buhari may even be arrested and even those who love him may think twice (about his sincerity). The sum of 4.5 billion Naira is purportedly budgeted. The purpose of this budget I am told is for bribing some Northern clerics so when the time comes, they will pacify their followers (to reject Buhari as he is BoKo Haram sponsor). There will purportedly be audio of phone calls (between Buhari and the Boko Haram leaders). Buhari will not be able to sue the government since it will be an arranged confession of a captured terrorist. Now, I am not saying this (leak) is true. But knowing how desperate these PDP people are, they can do just anything to get Buhari out of the way. Honestly, I am deeply, deeply, deeply, worried. In fact, I am troubled. Kindly share this and let the world know about this evil machination of the PDP before it is too late. Kindly do it. The person who gave me this information is an Intelligence officer with the Army. He looks worried too.”
May God save Nigeria and Nigerians. Amen. . You see from this topic! One can see the secret hand of APC and buhari on bokoharam! If not why will they be worried about the capturing of shekau.? It is just like when you send some assassin to kill for you and they get caught, you will begin to panic, that they might point you out. This propaganda is a very dangerous one! APC must come out clean on this!! |

Alcatraz001: You pple shud stop aall these ibo this, ibo that wahala.
Me I don taya for iboo pple.Ibos brought trouble oon demselves wen dey started hating yorubas.
I have outlined this countless times and we yorubas are tired already becos we don't have the strenght for hate but if there is a war,we would fight it to the finish. These wars are what you feel and see as a war against the ibos, the intellectual war is ON and its going to last for a Loooooongg time.
The yorubas have noticed that they have an enemy in the ibos so they have gone to the trenches and the ibos will jst have to bear with whatever they see.
I really feel sorry for the ibos because no matter where the political pendulum of Nigeria swings, they will always be under attack by the BIG TWO (Hausas and Yorubas).
It is well. don't mind the poster!! He is not igbo!! He is just looking for a way to disparage igbos.. Op go and die!! |

TheOtherview: This is getting boring now, TANoid L0nestar. Why don't you just quit while the going is good, to avoid putting foot in the mouth? I say this because the photographs used to illustrate your point were actually taken on different days, in 2013. Capisce?
Just accept that both camps were wrong - that Buhari was neither stretchered out of Nigeria nor snapped at the airport's health control unit, on this particular trip
Call it a draw, if that helps another lies again!! You apc guys can lie for Africa!! You have been bursted again! This was his trip in 2013 why surfacing it now? Yeye dey smell.
