I tell you, Nigeria hardly trust people. Look at the scrutiny that is going on. It is only in Nigeria, that someone(Nigerian) will be scammed by a foreigner, instead of the Nigeria to criticise the foreigner that scammed his brother he will abuse his own brother for being foolish, fall for the scammer.

And though he won't blame Gej much for his woes but Gej would definitely share from the hatred OBJ has for lagos'..

This is what we call leadership by example, not that drunk creek bigot who publicly said "he doesn't give a damn about asset declaration" and the same shoeless man is now directing us (all federal workers) to fill and submit our asset declaration form. The little money they might have given you to post rubbish here will soon finish if at all you were given and not brain washed. I am not supporting any PARTY but my prayer is that God will intervene and give us a leader that will have mercy on Nigerians and not a President that will be budgeting N1 billion for food when many Nigerians are dying of Hunger.

Is it now when the oil is selling at $52/barrel you will enjoy? why can we just think and know that this bunch of rogues are just deceiving us. Our oil minister serviced her OFFICIAL JET with N10 billion and when accused she was shielded by the president from being probed and you are here shouting GEJ till 2019. More than 200 girls are still in Sambisa forest and am sure if your sister or daughter is among, you will not stay here and be typing GEJ till 2019.

All those shouting that TINUBU is a thief and all that, why can't the President send EFCC after him to recover what he has stolen? The Oil subsidy scam, pension scam, etc that were probed and companies indicted, how many of these thieves are in prison? NONE. However, when it was time to raise money for GEJ re-election, the sum of N21 Billion was raised in one day by these same people so that they will not be probed. GOD WILL SURELY JUDGE ALL OF YOU IF YOU FAIL TO REPENT.

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Bribed Pastors With N7bn, Not N6bn – Musa Dikwa by patrick89(m): 7:44pm On Feb 19, 2015
Bizinton:
More facts appear to be emerging on the allegation by Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, that President Goodluck Jonathan gave pastors across the country N6bn to vote against the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari(retd.), in the presidential election.

A Borno-based Pastor, Kallamu Musa-Dikwa, said on Thursday that the money that was given to pastors by the President was actually N7bn and not N6bn as alleged by Amaechi, who doubles as the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation.

Amaechi had alleged that unnamed leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party paid N6bn to Christian clerics to campaign against Buhari and the APC.

The governor’s allegation caused a stir among the Christian clerics, with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and the Northern State Christian Elders Forum asking Amaechi to name the church leaders, who collected the huge bribe.

But Musa-Dikwa, who is the Executive Director of the Voice of Northern Christian Movement, told journalists in Kaduna on Thursday that the said money was channelled through the Christian Association of Nigeria.

He said the CAN got the said money(N7bn) on January 26, 2015 and disbursed N3m to each State Chairmen of the CAN across the country.

Musa-Dikwa, who was an Associate Pastor with the E. Y. N. Church, Farm Centre, Dikwa Road, Maiduguri, Borno State, under Rev. Emmanuel Kwajihe between 2002 and 2004, said the CAN had started threatening Christians in the state (Borno) that they must re-elect Jonathan in the rescheduled election.

He said, “It was N7bn that was given to the CAN leadership by President Goodluck Jonathan. They(CAN) later disbursed N3m to the State Chairmen of the CAN.

“The money was handed over to the CAN Leadership on 26th January, 2014.”

“Actually, President Jonathan is using CAN President, and it was the CAN President who collected the monies and shared N3m to the CAN executives in each state.

“And some Pentecostal Bishops also collected their share. Actually, the money is not N6bn, it is N7bn. This is what I know. One of the CAN officials from Abuja told me that they have collected the money. The corruption in CAN is terrible. They are corrupting the body of Christ because of money.

“They are now threatening Christians in Borno State that they will deal with anybody, who refuses to vote for Jonathan. And the CAN officials are now campaigning that if Buhari emerges President, he will Islamise Nigeria; and that Osinbajo collected monies from Islamic world; and that the same Osinbajo will resign soon after Buhari wins to give way for Tinubu to emerge Vice President.”

Musa-Dikwa named some high-profile clerics, who had benefitted from the controversial largesse to actualise the re-election bid of Jonathan.

PATIENCE JONATHAN, WIKE BEHIND BLASTS, GUNSHOTS AT APC RALLY – ROTIMI AMAECHI

The DG of the APC Presidential campaign organization and Governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi, has accused the first lady, Patience Jonathan and the state PDP Governorship candidate, Nyesom Wike of organizing the disruption witnessed at the APC Governorship rally in Okrika, the village of the first lady earlier today. Gov Amaechi made the allegation while speaking with newsmen after the APC leaders meeting at the Shehu Yar’Adua center earlier today

“Clearly, the wife of the president does not want APC to campaign in Okrika, her local government area. The wife of the president and the governorship candidate of the PDP in Rivers again organised thugs to disrupt APC rally.

As usual, the police couldn’t protect us, over 200 police men. I asked the commissioner of police and he said they had over 200 policemen there. Yet, three explosions and then they opened fire on members of APC. The Channels TV reporter I hear, is injured, stabbed, and members of APC injured. We had meetings with DSS (Directorate of State Security) and police and they confirmed we could go ahead. There were 200 policemen and there were over 20 to 30 DSS men who came there and they did nothing”he said.

PoliticsRe: Director Jailed 2yrs For Stealing N33bn Pension Fund Freed On N250,000 Fine.. by patrick89(m): 12:21pm On Feb 18, 2015
bashydemy:
Activist says the N250 thousand fine in a monumental pension fraud is a “handshake”

An Abuja court on Monday handed a two year jail term, with a N250,000 fine option, to one of six federal officials tried for stealing N32.8 billion of police pension fund.

The sentencing is the first conviction in an elaborate scam that came to light early 2012 involving several top officials, offices and banks.

John Yakubu Yusuf, a former assistant director in the federal civil service, was tried on a 20-count charge alongside Atiku Abubakar Kigo (Permanent Secretary), Ahmed Inuwa Wada (Director), Veronica Onyegbula (Cashier) and Sani Habila Zira (ICT Officer).

Mr. Yusuf’s sentencing came after he pleaded guilty to betraying trust and fraudulently converting N2 billion of police pension funds to private use. The trial continues for the other accused.

Mr. Yusuf admitted to the 19th and 20th offences relating specifically to him, each involving betrayal of trust and the conversion of N1 billion apiece. The maximum penalty for the offence is two years.

Mr. Yusuf is to forfeit property traced to him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, valued at N325 million.

Handshake ruling

The Judge of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Gudu, Abubakar Talba, had during his ruling, lambasted the accused and raised hopes of a stern punishment. In a twist of events, the judge reeled out Mr. Yakubu’s sentence, much to the chagrin of activists and keen observers. The accused was let go with a rather minimal jail term of two years, if the accused would rather not face the jail term, he would be let go with a payment of N250 thousand.

But the ruling by the judge angered activists and numerous Nigerians who have closely followed the trial. The activists say the ruling smacks of sleaze and raises questions on why the court let the accused go with a minimal jail term or the option of just N250 thousand despite the magnitude of the crime.

“This is not a slap on the wrist, it is a handshake ruling,” said Lanre Suraj of the Human and Environmental Developmental Agenda. “Some may say justice is done, but justice is not seen to be done.”

The ruling would imply Mr. Yusuf will still be retaining about N1 billion after paying his fines and losing the N325 million traced to him.

“This casts aspersion on the integrity of the judge and it may assure those willing to try something like this that crime pays,” Mr. Suraj who attended the court hearing said.

Influential backing

The pension scam, involving several billions of naira stolen from retired police officers, shocked the nation after it broke February 2012 prompting a senate investigation.

The Senate joint committee on public service and establishment has for months, been embroiled in investigations centered on the Head of the Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, whom the lawmakers accused of championing another fraud.

Mr. Maina, who was brought in to reform pension administration was also accused of sleaze by the lawmakers.

He has been accused of diverting billions of naira of pension funds. He denies the allegations, and accused the lawmakers of seeking bribes. Despite the duration of the probe, no charge has been brought against him.

In December, the Chairman of the Senate Committee, Aloysius Etok, said Mr. Maina may be backed by influential Nigerians in the corridors of power.

Mr. Yakubu and his colleagues were suspended indefinitely in 2012 after the scandal broke.

The EFCC said the complex scheme involved several transfers of huge sums between banks, use of illegal accounts and falsification of names; is said to have been conducted between the officials and a former Director of Police Pension Fund, Esai Dangabar.

Mr. Dangabar was charged. Mr. Dangabar later told the EFCC part of the money was shared among the officials and the pension committees of the senate and the House of Representatives.

The National Assembly denied the allegations, calling it a “pack of lies” demanding proof.

Since APC started twisting "Stealing is not corruption" ,I have tried all I could to explain what GEJ was saying, but alas their hate for our president wouldn't allow them reason.

A thief is a thief!! Why must we dress it up with something less deteriorating? I bet our "tif tif" politicians will prefer to be labelled as corrupt rather that being called a thief. We should not accord them such luxury.

It is now clear that our president and his team are very intelligent set of people. While our "change" crusaders are indeed clueless and well as ill-educated (their Professor included).

When men like Tinubu and Amaechi lot the treasury of their states dry, they should be called thieves.
When a man like Buhari lie under oath and then forge certificate he should be called Corrupt.
my brother the level of ignorance in this country is nauseating. I have tried in the past to clarify this same issue, I stated that Gej was quoting a Former chief justice, I watched the video where he said that "stealing is not corruption" he clearly stated that the former chief justice said that 80 percent of what people call corruption is a case of stealing which has a different penalty as corruption, but they wouldn't listen. At a point I was very annoyed with presidential media aids for not clearing the air on this.. APC members were using it against GEJ.. Honestly, this man is sooo "aidless". Had it been he didn't come out to clear the air, people will still believe that he said "stealing is not corruption". Even the journalists in the country are too lazy to correct the populace. I pity this country because its being built on propaganda, this trend will be very bad, if left unchecked.
