We were looking for a LB who can do a short-term job, one whose deal we can cut short in January upon the return of Shaw and Malacia but people are still not satisfied with Reguillon. How many clubs will agree to such terms?

Mount was not the right signing.
We needed a proper and experienced Striker or even 2 so we could also shift Martial but we overpaid for a 20 year old to come and keep him company in the hospital.
Reguilon loan is whatever.. Dont rate him at all. He hasnt shown anything at Spurs and the fact they were ready to let him go on loan says a lot.
Amrabat - Could be a good signing but only God knows why we didnt have this wrapped up since the start of the window. Well I do know.

We didnt do well enough with our sales.

So 6/10 is fair.

Outgoings have to be a 3/10. We should have moved Martial, Maguire, McTom and even Dalot out. We should learn to terminate contracts. Juventus are masters of it.


As for the incoming, Hojlund will do well in the long run. It's just a shame that he came in injured.

Mount is one I can't explain, only ETH can.

Reguillon has a lot of potential. ETH should be able to help him. With Wan-Bissaka who is defensively-minded on one side, we could do with a flying left wingback.

Amrabat is good but I fear that ETH was not keen on his signing thus he might attempt to force the midfield 3 of Casemiro - Mount - Bruno to work. I hope that's not the case.

Onana is a good buy except that I don't think that position was our most pressing concern when we went in for him. Left for me, I'd have kept De Gea and Henderson for one more season to fight for the number-one spot and use the money to sign a CB or a forward who can beat his man.

7/10, is about ok. Depending on the Performance of Hojlund sha. If Regullon is decent. We can use Shaw as a cover at LCB, seeing that Varane is now a Hospital regular now, Even for me he is our best CB.

Reguillon might just come in and cement that LB spot. I am quietly optimistic.

I think that's the idea but ETh might want to stick with Mount just because it was he who insisted we sign Mount.

For me, it is a 7/10 because we still have Maguire here and the signing of Mount doesn't really improve the team.

Which Welbeck? Ferguson is the only quality forward they have. Buonanotte is a RWF like March.

Fati will either play alongside Ferguson or behind Ferguson in the absence of Enciso. I won't even be surprised if Mitoma is played as an AMF for Fati to play on the left.

Pep has had to settle for a second choice many times, most recently, they were priced out of a move for Paqueta.

Imagine having to settle for Reguilon over Cucurella because we'll have the option of cancelling the loan in January. Player's ability came 2nd. If that one fails, they'll add him to player's Ten Hag brought in. So as to package that agenda Wella.

Must he get all of his first-choice targets? That is how we ended up overpaying for Antony and would have overpaid for De Jong...

Onana? Prioritizing is a thing...When the deal was close, I remember I asked how Mount was any similar to Eriksen, the player he was bought to replace...

ETH is very culpable because Eriksen was his most important player last season thus if he wanted to replace him he should have gone for a like-for-like replacement and not Mount.

I even doubt Liverpool FC has outspent us or will outspend us at the end of the window.

Apart from Dominik Szoboszlai, they have been very shrewd with their dealings so far.

You are fixated on his wordings rather than what he meant. We are seeing other clubs signing top players so, we do not have any excuse not to sign them too. We signed Mount when Mac Allister was available. To think we even have UCL football to offer...

I am in support of the argument that there are a lot of good players in the market but for some reason, we keep opting for the 'not so good' ones...
