So many wrong decisions by OLE that will backfire. I do not think OLE planned to buy a midfielder. I think they were just window-shopping to see players they could buy if Pogba had left. That leaves a big question mark on OLE's managerial competence... does it mean he thinks a DM midfield of Matic/MacFred will be enough to win a league. In my opinion, i do not think the target is to win the league.

Another question I have is that are they waiting for the end of this season to release Matic, Mata and Jones. If Pogba and Cavani leaves, that will be five experienced players leaving. Surely that will affect the balance of the team even if good players are bought. In my opinion, that's also wrong. I would think some of those players would have been offloaded and replaced by now while others are left till the end of this current season in order to create a gradual but consistent change in personnel. The way I see it, we will never leave this "building phase" under OLE.

Ole knows what to do but won't do it just so he has an excuse at the end of the season.

Come next season, they will need to buy a striker and 2 midfielders. After which Ole will say it will take time for the news players to settle, in the process asking for more time...The board will duly oblige...

He would have developed those forward into his system, why Tuchel would have found a system that work with this our players.
