This strike is very needful cos the judiciary has been trampled by the executive. Their autonomy is non negotiable. How can the executive be paying salary to judiciary workers meanwhile,both judiciary and executive are two different independent tiers of government? This same thing should go to the local government. State governments have for many years ruffled the local government which of course is a separate organ of government. The state governor selects care taker committee and embezzle state funds on their normal frivolities. The local governments in Nigeria should embark on a serious industrial action and should refuse to back down until they are given full autonomy.

Talking about local government, even tjose who are elected or better put, selected willing withdraw LG funds and take to the Governor...

State Independent Electoral Commission should be scrapped, INEC should conduct all elections in the country. Also, INEC should be made independent, the president should not have the exclusive preserve to appoint INEC chairman because we know his appointment will definitely be approved by the rubber stamp legislature...

All arms of government should be independent and LG should have full autonomy...It's only when we get to this point that we can begin to talk about resource control and true federalism as a whole...

How many situations can you name in which a club kept rotating 2 keepers year in year out. At the end of the day one of them has got to go and unless DDG is CLEARLY the better keeper i will go with the younger and cheaper keeper.

Rotating keepers for long periods erodes the skills of both keepers. That is the reason why we can't keep both of them.

I wish Henderson is in goal for the rest of the season. I'd like him to have that extended run just so we or better put, the club can make an informed decision...

DDG escaped greater criticism because of his reputation IMO. If he was playing for a decisive manager like Pep he would have been replaced 2 years ago. The reason we kept faith with him is similar to the reason we still have Dr Jones on our books.

I know who that post was for and he got it...Expert17 would have criticized DDG for that goal...

It's not DDG fault that he is paid in excess of 375k weekly thus making it difficult to move him on...I know who you are targeting that missile to, God save Ed and friends...

In all, if Henderson outperforms DDG, then he should start but if he doesn't, THE DDG should continue in goal...I really don't know why most folks here think it is impossible to keep them both. Already, they have both played over 15 games and are both on course to play over 20 games. That's fair enough.

How many years was DDG when Fergie handed him our number 1 spot. Infact DDG's errors was instrumental to the 2011/12 league title that we lost to City on GD. But we saw it then as a learning process, i remember argueing with some united fans in my street then. We all pleaded for him to be given a chance. So why is it a problem now that it's another person's turn to shine.

I am not so sure about that. DDG is not criticized EVERY time we concede a headed goal. In this particular situation Henderson actually did well to pull off a DDG-like save only for AWB and Lindelof to sleep on duty twice and allow the rebound.

And i don't really get your point. Do you mean that because you believe that the press would have wrongfully criticized DDG for the goal we should now wrongfully criticize Henderson for the goal? Abi is that not what you are demanding?

My point is that the criticism of DDG is now overblown just cos we have Henderson...

If Henderson performs better, he will take De Gea's place and that's justifiable but people shouldn't criticize De Gea and turn a blind eye when Henderson is involved...The criticism should be constructive though.

It is not all about the English press. It is a fact that DDG does not command his box, does not communicate well with his defenders, and is not confident coming out for aerial balls. These are facts and not just journalists' opinions.

No dispute about De Gea's flaws but I'm dead certain DDG would've been blamed for not coming out for that ball...What's good for David should also be good for Dean...

Expert17 you would've expected De Gea to come out for the ball before it got to Welbeck. I understand it's AWB who was caught napping but if it was DDG, you wouldn't cut him any slack.

English press will get their way as it concerns Henderson and De Gea but then, Henderson will be exposed to so much scrutiny that he'll likely bulge...

I am dead certain if it was De Gea in goal for that Brighton opener, we'd be treated to complains that he doesn't command his box well. Henderson is young, his time will come even as he has 0payed a fair share of games this season...
