Martinelli at Assanal is on 90k weekly. Ansu Fati is on 45k and that was his first senior contract, compared to Greenwood who got 35k weekly.

I can only imagine how much Greenwood will be earning by 23 or thereabout...I prefer players to earn their pay rather than get paid because of their potential...

Considering his talent, potential, and the position he plays this is one of the more reasonable deals we have made recently. AWB was also unproven when we gave him 90k weekly, and he is a defender.

considering where we are coming from and the way they usually throw money at young players with potential in the past, this is a very good deal. Infact, If I am related to Greenwood, I'll probably be punching his agent for giving him a bad deal and not getting him at least 100k from a club as big as man utd, considering a less talented player like Williams got 75k as well and by that logic, Greenwood should have earned more.

If hypothetically, by any juju or circumstances, Greenwood didn't fulfill his potential , I don't think there would be a problem selling a player on a 75k wage in future. In fact the club will get good money for him because he's not on the usual 130k or 150k that usually cause wahala when we want to offload player.

Martial is playing nonsense because there is no competition it has nothing to with the wages. Finally if Spurs can't pay Harry kane more than Martial that's Spurs problem not United.

If I am paid 1m in my job when I know my skillet doesn't measure up to 1m there's every tendency that I will relax rather than acquire the skill set that matches the pay...

As regards the contract offer, if Greenwood plays to his potential, scoring goals every week and by 2022 Madrid or Barcelona come knocking, trust me the club will immediately renegotiate that deal.

75K isn't outrageous for 19 year old it's just more than average, even Brandon Williams earns 75k. United generate a lot of revenue so it's normal we pay more than average as expected.

I think we should stop using other clubs as criteria as to what we pay players, like I said it's not outrageous it's just more than average.

You need to look deeper into the stats cos they can be misleading. I agree he needs to improve on his scoring but those assist stats do not tell the whole story.

You know key passes are a more objective way of assessing creativity as assists are dependent on the receiver of the pass finishing well. He is averaging more key passes per game (1.4) in the league than everybody not named Bruno in our team and he is still completing more dribbles than all our players. The problem is those chances he is creating are not being converted.

Even the Podence that people have been hyping lately averages only 0.8 per game. In fact if you combine both Wolves and United squads together Adama is 3rd in key passes per game behind only Bruno and Neto and is way ahead in first place in terms of completed dribbles. In a better system with better players he will surely do better.

Let me break it down for you. He himself believed it is quality of the players that is doing the job rather than whatever tactic he is putting in place. That is why he does not believe in the bench cos they are inferior to the starters (at least on paper).

A manager who has supreme confidence in his own system and tactic will trust the bench cos in his mind it is his system which is doing the job not the quality of the players.

Ole sef. Look at Pochettino yesterday. Gueye was on a yellow yesterday in the first half and his tackles was becoming restless, first thing Pochettino did in the second half was sub him for Herrera to avoid story that touch because Barca players have begin to target Gueye so that the referee can book him for a second yellow.. But our own Ole refused to do something similar when he was in the same situation with Fred, knowing that Fred tackling is even worse and he even has a higher chance of getting booked. Ole not trusting his bench is now becoming a pattern. Last season the excuse I gave him was that we had no depth. This season that things have changed as regards depth, he still refused to make proper subs and on time. So it's more of not trusting his bench than lacking depth

I said it here before the season began that Ole has his favorites so, no matter how well a bench player plays when given the opportunity, he will find himself back on the bench in the next game...Check out the game against Sevilla in the UEL last season, Martial and Rashford were missing chance after chance but what did Ole do? He left them on the pitch until the dying moments of the game.

Ole doesn't favor competition for places and that's why Martial knows he can play rubbish and still get into the team. Look at Telles, he is supposed to provide fierce competition for Shaw but Ole has reduced him to a bench role...

We are talking about a new CB and RB to compete with AWB but don't bet against Ole sticking with Lindelof - Maguire partnership whilst we begin to question the quality of the new addition same with AWB and any possible RB addition...

Look at Liverpool, Klopp didn't have any reservation to send Firmino to the bench when Joya was fit and firing on all cylinders.
