Every team needs some average players that can come in and do some job, reason I don't ask for the selling of player like Smalling who is average but mostly fit. Herrera can make a good squad player since he's mostly fit. The worst is being average and always unavailable.
This doesn't include Darmian though. We should asap offer him to Napoli as I heard they want him Hehehe |

2. Apart from Kolarov & Nolito, the rest that left were all out of contract just as Wheel.Share, Sanchez & Ozil will be out of contract once this season finishes.
3. Nolito complained of Manchester whether but in truth it was that he was benched everytime & Kolarov asked to leave of his freewill esp with Pep shopping for a left back to compete with him & u know Yaya Toure is on his final contract.
4. Rashford over Sterling.... only diff is Sterling is in form
5. Ibra is just coming back after 8-9 mths & Blind is good just as Mata is but all depends on coaches & their usage or preferences.
6. Mou prefers brute or brawn or power over skills....power players to him can use their strength to maneuver & that is why Blind or Mata suffer cos their little power works against them & they will hardly track back You're right, however Blind and Mata tho technically gifted are easily disposed, you can't compare them to Silva/Alba/Sane who know how to retain possession under pressure. |

Nansense player Herrera and Herrera can be excused since they were very good last season, however, that's the difference between us and Real Madrid, Barca and Bayern is that when you ain't performing you dropped or out rightly replaced without any consideration of your past contribution to the course of the club...It's this loyalty that sets up a scenario where you saw/see fans defending Rooney, Herrera, Rojo, Lukaku etc. In Madrid you can score for 20 straight games, but once you lose form, the fans wil boo you...We need to set the bar very high for our players. |

Yet some people were arguing that Rashford is better than Sterling, Ibra better than Aguero and so on, for all of Pep brilliance, one thing I like about him is his ability to ship out average players in his team... Over at United, Mourinho is still keeping Darmian, Blind and a host of other utterly useless players whereas Pep wasted no time in shipping out Sagna, Clichy, Kolarov (Who can still do a job), Navas, Nolito and the rest. |

raumdeuter: Fact is that Bonnuci is overrated and I called it early most of the Juventus defenders are overrated and just benefit from a parapo defensive unit
Now Bonnuci has left, whoever his replacement is in Juve soon we would be hearing he is the defence stalwart.
Barzagli that was a monumental flop in Wolfsburg is now cutting it, The truth is when you have many people helping out in defence, as a defender you are covered, thats why many mediocre defenders like Terry have been able to escape scrutiny, shebi last season Luiz was heralded as a voltron because he played in parapo community defence, This season they dropped him got a young Christensen and Rudiger and the defence continued
Boateng went to City as a 21yr old defender, played as a RB and LB when Bayern a bigger club called, he did the rational thing left for a bigger team Is Pique also overrated because he benefits a lot from Barcelona's possession game especially in the Pep era? The same question applies to Boateng... Please be logical in your response because if you think Bonucci was only made to look good because of the approach adopted by Conte and later Alegri, it's high time we also check if the possession based approach of Barca and Bayern helps their defenders who in most cases are hardly tasked with defending, rather, ball playing... |

The other day, some United fans posted a fictional starting 11 list combo of Manchester United / Tottenham Hotspurs players. Guess how many Spurs players were in the list ------ 2 out of 11; and if I take silence to be consent, over half your fans on that thread agreed to that list!!! Only 2 Spurs were "deemed good enough" to displace Manchester United players if they were all up for selection on the same team.

Again you see them saying we were making jest of City players last season and praising them now when in truth, it's Pep that was mostly on the receiving end, I make bold to say that the difference between last season and the present one is that Pep has stopped trying to be too smart, he has kept things simple and this has made the team stronger. If you watched City last season, you'd have seen that the same players were tearing apart every team they came up against until it got to Pep's head and he started doing things unheard of, Zabaleta and Clichy, supposed fullbacks were tucking into the midfield (Crazy) leaving only Stones and Otamendi, now tell me which defender won't get exposed in this set up? The year, Walker is always at right back, Delph/Mendy at left back, he just ditched those crazy ideas of his that left them exposed not like he did anything out of the world or unseen... |

The same Sane that terrorized Madrid in the UCL as a teenager is the one some folks want us to believe is only playing well because of Pep... Sterling on the other hand was one of the best players in Liverpool and after Suarez left, he was their go to man but some folks want us to believe he is only playing well cos of Pep... Same Otamendi Man United tried to sign but was beaten to his signature is now an average defender cos people want to praise Pep. Walker isn't as good as Valencia because it's an argument, I must not lose. When to be honest they are both brainless, often depending on pace and power rather than footballing IQ, even at that, Walker, scores more and assist more. How on earth is current Ibra better than Aguero if not that it's an argument and as far as nairaland is concerned, it's an abomination to admit superior opinion in an argument. At this point in time, I'd love to see a coach who will even take Ibra over Jesus, very unlikely but folks look at United's bench and want to convince us that Ibra there is akin to the one that ruled series A when in all honesty he is past it.
To see how ridiculous this whole thing is, they want us to believe Mendy and Kompany are out injured and shouldn't be considered when comparing both teams or doing a combined 11 but they are talking about Bailly who is injured, Shaw and Ibra who have barely played this season...Kompany that walks straight to the starting 11 anytime he feels slightly comfortable to play is the one they want us to believe isn't good enough when in all honesty he is better than anything Manchester United have to offer. Or is Stones who is not better than Smalling? Last season, people castigated Stones because of his price tag (Same excuse most Man Utd fans make for Pogba) and a bid to get to Pep for his preference for ball playing CBs. |

Now let's do as you have said, Man City Vs Man Utd, Valencia and Young/shaw are better than Walker and Delph/danilo, Lukaku is better than Jesus, Ibrahimovic is better than Aguero, Martial= Sane, De gea better than Ederson, Pogba= De bruyne, Is bernando Silva better than rashford? Fernandinho Vs Matic is debatable, is otamendi better than Bailly? is stones better than Jones?
Vs Chelsea, Alonso and Azpilicueta are better than Walker and Delph, kante is better than fernandinho, Hazard is better than All their wingers, Morata is better than Jesus
Vs Liverpool, Mane, salah, coutinho are better forwards than Sterling, sane and Jesus
Arsenal and Tottenham are the clubs I believe they have better players than Valencia = Walker, Young/Shaw are not as good as Mendy and Delph has been great as a LB much like Young. Aguero is better than Lukaku and Jesus is more valuable and at the moment better than Ibra (emphasis here isn't on the name but the impact of each on their respective teams), De Bruyne is better than Pogba, Bernardo Silva (Only God knows why you left out David Silva) is better than Rashford, it's not all about Pace, B. Silva is 5 times more intelligent than Rashford. We've not talked about Sterling, Gundam etc Over to Chelsea, Morata isn't better than Aguero, Mendy is better than Alonso, KDB is better than Fab, Silva is better than Pedro, Kante vs Fernandinho is down to a coaches preference, Fernandinho is more of a 4 than Kante who is box to box...Hazard is boss as is Courtios. At Liverpool, Mane =Sane, Aguero is better than Firming, Silva/KDB is better than Coutinho. Salah is boss. Thanks |

BlueAngel444: What you have is what you give, all things have been working for City's good from transfers, to fixtures to player fitness while Chelsea might have excuses.
Chelsea's slow start to the season and in games affected the results. I still hope Chelsea take drastic actions. But credit must be given to Sterling for recovering his best form and being the player City hope he will be a goal scoring winger is a threat Chelsea has lacked with the poor form of Chelsea's attackers pointed out by Conte.
Also to the combination of Silva and KDB a compartibility and understanding they have formed over time while Conte has had to work with different midfield systems for various reasons which has also affected performances.
If Pep was managing this Chelsea our first 11 might have been Azpi, Chris, Cahill, Alonso; Kante, Fabregas, Willian; Hazard, Morata, Pedro
as a 4-3-3, I can even see a 4-2-3-1.
This 11 is by far better than City's Walker, Stones, Otemendi, Mendy; Fernandinho, KDB, Silva; Sane, Jesus/ Aguero, Sterling Joke of the year, Fernandinho is better than Kante for the qualities Pep wants from his Midfielders and Silva and KDB over Cesc and Willian any day...The midfield and Defense is key for Pep and from what you posted, that City's defense retains the ball better and have better full backs. |

I think when you say Pep has the best squad at his disposal people really don't get what you mean, there's a big difference between best payers and best squads, he might not have the best players in all positions in his team but then, you can argue that some of his starting eleven are the best in their position in the league... Talking about squad, a look at City's bench will give you a clear picture of how good a squad of players Pep has at his disposal, Gundogan, Danilo, Jesus, B. Silva, Toured, Bravo etc here's a collection of guaranteed starters at rival clubs. Madrid had a very good squad going for them in the past couple of season till Zidane and Perez thought otherwise and sold Morata and sent James on loan. At this point, City can comfortably replace a starting 11 player without any consequent drop in quality, a luxury non of their rivals have. |

I feel with rashford is maybe a bit of the same. You see him going back into the full back areas. It's great that he's got that enthusiasm but to get the best out of him going forward he maybe needs to let the defenders and midfielders do all that!"

Bellerin is a spoilt child, he needs bench
Xhaka is a waste buy,he doesn't fit our system nor is he what we need
Coquelin performs better at the DM position.. Just protect the back 4,win ball back and lay simple pass to the nearest attacking player, but pairing him with an immobile xhaka means he bumps forward and he isn't good at that..
Iwobi is not a right winger, look at sterling and sane, they cause you problems from the wing, iwobi is better in the ozil and Ramsey role..
Sanchez isn't a left winger,he's too right footed.. Shift him to the right..
Lastly we have so many one footed players( Montreal, xhaka, kolasinac, ozil, wilshere, giroud,Sanchez, bellerin, etc
Only lacazete, carzola, maybe welbeck and Ramsey can lift the other foot. You're right except the Sanchez line, he is best as a LWF cutting into his right foot |
