Thus, can you suggest any possible Signing(s) to improving the current United Squad?! If we seriously want him, we'll get him... |

Oasis007: The emboldened can't be true Bro. Dybala is playing week in - week out at Juventus, hence it's possible for Argentina to play the Trio of Messi, Aguero and Dybala upfront at the Mundial.
He needs Games, he's not a barely known Player, he's a Star. He can never be happy sitting on the Bench for Mbappe.
He must prove himself between now and End of the Season to save his Career, hence he's gonna look out for a Team that gonna offer him regular playing Time in January.
I think I need to make it clear once more, I didn't ask for the permanent Signing, rather a quick Fix (Loan). If you follow the Argentinale national team, you'd know that Dybala, Kun and Pipita aren't guaranteed starters, sometimes a player might just be the coache's favorite and that's where Di Maria falls...In Germany it used to be Podolski and now Muller, no matter how bad they play for thier club othey still get called up and given the starting nod ahead of others who are in most cases more deserving of it. Secondly, you hardly see big clubs (especially in England) taking players on loan unless they have the option to buy, nobody wants to give a starting berth to a player that's not theirs cos if he performs, he gets recalled by the parent club. |

Oasis007: Can we win the UCL......?! I doubt it. Can we win the EPL......?! Probably! League Matches are played weekly, while UCL Matches are played periodically. Besides, UCL Games are highly unpredictable.
Can we make it to the Final....?! Probably. Can we lose out in the next Round......?! Probably too. I think we should reinforce the Team to maintain our Position in the League or perhaps win the Le7ague (nothing is impossible).
However, I will gladly welcome Mahrez to the Team if he's signed by JM. He's good a Player, a good Winger, and a good Lefty. He has proven himself already in the League, and definitely gonna be a good Addition to the Squad.
BTW..... I didn't ask for permanent Signing of either Bale or Di Maria. They both lack playing Time at their respective Clubs at the moment. Bale needs playing Time to get fitter and proves himself more. Di Maria needs playing Time to make the WC Squad for the Argies. Di Maria is a guaranteed starter in the Argentine national team so I doubt he'd be under any pressure to play more except for personal fulfillment...And the manner in which he left United wasn't appealing. Bale on the other hand is injury prone and cannot be trusted...Our best bet is Mahrez or we put in a bid for Sanchez. |

dubylhover: have you watched d current barca? that team is finished, bayern dominated possession against psg at d parc d Paris, but quote this anywhere,if any of them meets pep, city would average a 60% possession Same Pep that adopted a tad cautious approach with Bayern against Barcelona? If Barcelona play to their potential, I doubt any team can match them especially with Dembele coming back and Suarez gradually hitting form... Talking about PSG, when fully fit, City will struggle to contain them. I still think City are a level below the top dogs |

dubylhover: yea,the diff btw last season and this season is very obvious, pep is now top of the league and we have moved from 6th to 2nd,mind you it was at white hart lane poch won pep,at d ethiad it was d wastefulness of his strikers that let spurs come back from a 2 goal lead.
funny enough see the teams you're waiting for to play against pep..Madrid,bayern psg..barca,these are teams who have quality players that play at d highest level consistently, and those are d kind of teams that can cause damage to pep,but mind you if pep meets any of those teams, they must sit in their own half and wait for counter attack, cos if they play their normal footie, pep would annihilate them..you have strike d right balance whilst playing against pep Barcelona sit in their own half? Bayern? PSG? I think not...Only Madrid will opt for counter attack but the rest will come at City, it's gonna be end to end...Imagine Messi/Robben/Mbappe running at Delph... |

Scrappy win but I'd take it and a Mueller goal as well. We really need Mueller to get to that 2013-2015 form if we are going to challenge in elite Europe
All eyes on Dortmund now who are trying to do a Bayern. Sometimes you wonder if these players just want the coach fired and play absolute nonsense! dubylhover: no one is saying mou approach is the best but I repeat,no team in the epl would win pep by playing an open attacking footie with him,its a battle you can never win..even ancelotti parked d bus at d bernabau against pep in d ucl and used counter attacking style..y we are talking about poch team is that he's been called d messiah on this thread while mou the anti-christ,but peeps forget to fully analyse d strength and weakness of d team..I repeat there is absolutely no way we can beat city by playing all out attacking football without being cautious, abi do you think the professional coaches who defend against pep love doing it,klopp, poch, sarri of napoli are all attacking coaches but you can see the result against for going full gung ho against this peps team and players...
I honestly hope we get d chance to play them in d ucl, mayb just mayb, luck might b on our side Spurs beat them last season playing attacking football and that was when Pochettino had all his key men available, this year, against Liverpool the result could've been different if Mane didn't receive his marching orders from the ref. Season will be beaten come the second half of the season... When City come up against Barcelona, Bayern, PSG/Madrid then we will know how good they really are. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 11:45pm On Dec 16, 2017 |
It's funny that folks here wanna put down Pochettino because his team got outclassed today in a bid to make Mou's approach look like the best... I also see another fellow blame injuries to Pogba and Morata as one of the major reason why Mou and Conte couldn't deploy their best tactics.
It's laughable to be honest for folks to believe you only stand a chance of beating City by parking the bus, it is the most ridiculous claim to be honest, until City scored the second goal, Spurs looked the more likely to score, in fact they had City camped in their half at some point but poor finishing and in some instances poor decision making was their undoing.
And talking about absentees, Spurs were without their best defender, Alderweireld and Sanchez who was signed from Ajax thus Pochettino couldn't deploy his usual 3 CBs at the back and had to make do with the brainless Dier who is normally deployed as a DM away from the goal to mask his occasional lapse in concentration. In the middle, Spurs really missed Wanyama who would have done a better job in keeping KDB in check.
All in all, City though on a very fine run of form aren't invincible or out of sight yet, I'm quite sure some folks here thought Crystal Palace were gonna go down, at some point, they couldn't even get a draw but look where they are now, same with Westham and Everton... It's football and most importantly the EPL, for all of City's brilliance, they may end up without a trophy. |

funlord: He is more dynamic than herrera for now! He is basically what herrera used to be during his bilbao era but it seems gaal has killed that vibe in him totally! Mactominay has already stated that he is trying to base his game on scholesy but if herrera wants he can still play attacking football like what I saw tominay do last night! He has all those quick touches and passes in his locker as you have pointed out but his time spent in defensive midfield has made him too conservative. He is more of a safety first player these days! Maybe it's the coaching or a loss of form but he should be worried if that kid keeps improving! Well said. |

CapitalCee: Please is Herrera really better than Mctominay? It's better we stopped buying these overrated foreign player and develop our home grown players and only buy super quality players like Pogba, Martial and Ibrahimovic. To me, McTominay is very similar to Herrera in the way he plays, quick one touch short passes, he isn't too adventurous but maybe that has got to do with the fact that he is playing with the big guys or I prolly haven't seen enough of him... Elampiro, you're so on point, I think the extraordinary stats posed by Messi and Ronaldo has altered the way people view footballers nowadays, couple of years back, Neymar, Hazard and Messi would've been more appreciated than present Ronaldo who is more about goals than exciting dribbles, playmaking etc. |
