A team of super stars and average players playing together as a unit in attack and defense (Man City) is better than a collection of super stars and some average players playing disjointed football relying more on individual brilliance (Man Utd)...
The movement of our players is poor, you don't see our full backs overlapping to draw defenders away from the wingers. Most times, Young passes the ball to Martial and stops like a spectator to watch how Martial will go past 2-3 defenders and when he can't, he passes back to Young and back the ball goes to Matic, back to Jones and we repeat the sequence again...
Mou needs to work on our passing and movement and our forward play in general...We defend too deep thus whenever we recover possession, it we can't hurt the opposition immediately compared to City who press high up the pitch where they can hurt you if the chance presents itself...
Sometimes I wonder why we can't press high up the pitch like Spurs/City/Pool or Chelsea who are improving in this aspect, our players are way too comfortable retreating back and Mou has to take responsibility to be honest.

Fans should blame the manager accordingly, like the game versus city we lost due the managers naivety, and some other examples ofcourse where the manager failed, but most of the players need an iron hand to sit up, Luke Shaw for example is a huge talent, but even LVG complained of him not showing enough bottle. Jose has exiled him for some time now and rightly berated him, he is back with the right attitude and grit. Martial was was dross last season, after the same treatment he is currently our best forward. People were berating the manager for only trying to toughen Shaw and Martial, now the result is showing, Rashford needs the same. Some players don't need such motivations They are always charged up, like Valencia and Lingard they may lack quality but not motivation and grit.

Nice guys like Mkhi who I rate even till now, he started the season well and suddenly regressed, the manager gave him too much of a long rope, still he did not sit up, when he was dropped ? His supporters blamed it on mourinho giving him defensive responsibilities. Some have even started blaming the manager for Rashford recent petulance, that asking him to track back is the reason for his uninspiring displays.forgetting that Rashy is still young and will get better with time, thats why i am not even pissed with his play,he is in a particular phase right now, where he will frustrate You, but will develop into a world beater later. Ronaldo at his age is not posting better numbers.

My point is mourinho doesnt have the freedom to wield the axe, he is ussually blamed for every players misdemeanor.

Mourinho told you this? Same Mou that dropped one of our better players (Herrera) last season to the bench doesn't have freedom?
Same Mou that left a fit Shaw on the bench?
Same Mou that benches Mkhitaryan or drops him from the match day squad?
Same Mou that plays Lukaku almost every game even when he was serving us bullshit?

I always saw the limitations in Herrera's game but for the sake of banter, I always argued he was as good as Kante...And to be honest, he was a bit better last season.

For me, I find it difficult to criticize Herrera because in the first place, the trajectory of the match didn't call for him, the guys I'm most displeased with is Lingard, Rashford and Mkhitaryan...Smalling should have shown a lot more will to win by pushing himself more...

Smalling should be pushing himself they, I have seen Rooney play through pain for the love of the club and his winning mentality. You're right that he should have been sent up the pitch, Matic should prolly have covered for him but since it didn't happen, he should and could have stretched himself to the limit there.

Herrera is a very useless player, whenever he plays, he is a liability to the team, Mourinho should just get rid of these mercenaries quickly, Mourinho seem to have gotten soft since he came to united, deal with these lazy guys stealing a living in our team once and for all

If not for Mou's conservative approach, Herrera shouldn't have been on the pitch in the first place, his combination with Matic and Pogba doesn't work at all talk less of a match where we were comfortable dominating the midfield...

On point, Smalling is just a sissy, look at Wilshere who was fond of forming injury until Wenger toughened up and was about to send him out of the club to just about any team, isn't Wilshere playing his heart now? Smalling is mentally weak and lazy like most English players, I mean just stretch yourself for about 2 min but no, the dude was out of the pitch at one point...
I was so upset yesterday, how do you play in a very good pitch with proper officiating and still get injured at every slight instance when people play in erosion ravaged pitch here where two footed tackle is the norm and the only way your folks will liken you to Maldini/Nesta (Wonder where they saw Maldini and Nesta going in two footed, lol) and never get injured...

Reading through, we over reacted after the match yesterday but truth be told, Mou shouldn't have brought on Herrera, we didn't need him and on the other hand, Rashford has regressed or isn't really all that we think he is (I go with this position), Lingard and Mkhitaryan should be doing better with the chances that came their way...Too conservative a coach and too average a host of players...Massive clear out needed and it must start from the January window.

let's just focus on getting the top 4. We don't have the players for the league. In our entire squad, the only people that deserve to be in united are. Matic, Pogba, Lukaku, DDG, Valencia, Bailly and Martial and may be Rashford because he is still up and coming. I will clear out the rest.

Please remove Rashford, Mbappe is young but he's easily better...Rashford does not know when to pass, when to shoot, when to run, when to slow it down etc and it's the essential thing that makes for a good player; decision making...The chance he missed, Schmeichel wasn't even close but he attempted to dribble past him.

Herrera was a defensive sub, Rashford was brought on to provide more defensive cover for Young same with Mkhitaryan on the other side...Without the substitutes we would have won today.

Age has got nothing to do with the poor performance of Rashford today. I am quite sure Martial would have done better than he did presented with similar chances
