pkasso: And you are also entitled to yours. Lewandowski does pretty much everything you listed up there as much as Kane if not even better. Here we go again with 'the best league in the world' talk. Stop making it sound like the EPL is some kind of ultra-competitive league. Is this not the same league we are seeing Man City rack up cricket scores almost every weekend. Lewy would score goals anywhere. Be it in England or Italy.
Lewy was the first player in 50 yrs to hit 30 goals in the Bundesliga and guess what ? he did it again last season. 30 goals back-to-back. Let that sink in. Only Ronaldo and Messi has scored more CL goals in the last 4 seasons and he is still the only player to score 4 goals in a CL semifinal match. He has to bang in the goals for one of the biggest clubs on the planet while still carrying the hopes of an average footballing nation on his shoulders. Talk about pressure. Single-handedly carrying them to major competitions while topping the scorers' charts and breaking goalscoring records. Lewy has led teams to multiple title triumphs. Kane can't even help Spuds win a plastic spoon. Best striker in the world indeed. What's the point in scoring all these goals when you end up winning nothing.
If you are gonna argue, at least get your facts right. Kane is 24, not 22. And who told you Real weren't interested in Lewandowski? Google is your friend. Whilst all you've written is true, you only showed us why over the years, Lewy is heads and better than Kane but for the past 2 seasons? I doubt he is better than Kane... |

No be everything be criticism, folks were just pointing out that for such a dead rubber match it wasn't really necessary to introduce 2 key players especially when we had men on the bench that need confidence that comes with more playing time...This "us vs them" isn't making any sense... |

About yesterday's performance, we played a very good game of football, the front 3 interchanged positions at will, the full back joined the attack and we pressed from the front, big props to Lingard for responding in style to his utter dreadful performance against Huddersfield, only down side to our game was Lindelof who was once again shaky especially when he had to deal with long balls but as the game progressed he grew in confidence, his passing is very good...
Also, I'd like to give special props to Tuanzebe, for his age, he plays with a lot of composure and his ball playing ability is as good as anyone of our starting CBs if not better, looks the most likely to progress to the first on a regular basis amongst our youngsters. It's a shame Angel Gomes was not available as he took part in the U-17 tournament, he is another to look out for.
In other news, Shaw made his comeback and though he wasn't really tested, it was good to see him back, I'd have preferred if he was subbed in earlier and Mou shouldn't have brought in Lukaku and Matic when we had Mata and Mhkitaryan on the bench, two players who are in need of confidence now, all the same, good win...Spurs next. |

Funny how someone is bringing up possession stats and chance created in a bid to support his point, I have been watching football for over 16 years now, I need no website to help me draw conclusions, I saw our game with Madrid during the preseason, saw the super cup and saw Tottenham play at the Bernabeu, they were simply better and Poch approached the game without fear...
You guys think we hate Mou but to be honest, we are only bold enough to point out his mistakes, you can't blame the players for serving shit for ever, you have to look at the coach, at City, Pep played Danilo at LB but when he wasn't getting the performance he expected of him, he improvised with Delph to good effect...
A week back, we went to Liverpool and sat back, a move some here blame on the fact that historically Anfield is a difficult ground for us but yesterday, Spurs played and beat Liverpool convincingly even though of recent, Liverpool have had the better of them more times than not, Poch didn't need to look back at their past performances against Pool, he just looked at that defense and knew he had the players to crack it open and thus set his players to go about business as usual...Anything short of 4 pints in our next 2 EPL games would be disastrous cos 5 points is already a big gap... |

1. How can you have a Shaw and still prefer Young and Darmian. 2. How can you think Lingard is good enough to play behind a striker? 3. How can you have two X -factor players in Rash and Martial but yet won't find a system to accomodate then simply because Amadiaoha has forbidden it. 4. Oasis007: I'm ain't a Kind that blame the Manager but I need to do it this Morning coz JM is really getting it wrong. Must United always play 4-2-3-1 in EPL Matches?! Tactically it's wrong for the Players in the Squad at the Moment.
3 - 5 - 2 Formation would have done the Job at H'Field. Martial ain't a type that defence or track back, he's a type that loves Ball on his Feet and does wonder with it.
JM should try Martial - Lukaku Combo for God's sake! Martial enjoys linking well with a closed Partner, he enjoys making 1 - 2 Passes, opening for a Chance or creating one.
I really can't blame him for the Loss. And to be candid, JM Tactic is questionable sometimes. He's kinda too rigid and stubborn. Seriously I wouldn't moan or cry if he doesn't extend his Contract.
I don't wanna compare him to another Manager, but obviously Pep is ahead of him tactically. Give this same Set of Players to Pep, and you gonna see the best of Martial, Mata and Mkhitaryan - cos these are technically gifted Players in the Squad. God bless you, Pep will do wonders with Mhkitaryan, Mata, Martial and Herrera, short intricate passes... |

Leyqute: We all know Lingard is a squad player but you can't crucify him for yesterday's loss. The whole midfield lacked creativity and were slow in bringing the ball out of the defense.
Martial was below par, Mata was a shade of his old self, Herrera was the new Cleverly and Matic had too much to do. Singling out Lingard for the loss is unfair.
It's okay to lash out but you're forming this opinion based on his past performances. He contributed morr in yesterday's game than Mkhi had in the past 2 or 4 matches. He linked attack with defense, didn't lose the ball sheepishly and got into good positions but couldn't make any outstanding impact.
He's got his limits but Mkhi who should be there has served us sh*t for weeks. Should we keep putting up with his sh*t and not try something else?
Coupled with our ineptitude Huddersfield didn't make things easy. They parked the train and made it extremely hard for us to penetrate their defense. Lukaku didn't get the service he yearned for and had to singlehandedly create the one goal we had.
The whole team is to blame for the loss. We lacked that feeling and mentality to want to win.
The goals came from two individual mistakes. If you're looking for scapegoats you can pick those two or even Mourinho himself. Going gung-ho on Lingard is just not right. Things Lingard did not do is what you listed... |

chrisley024: Exactly, I was seeing like 4 players at that left flank. He's also to blame; his delay when he gets the ball increases the number of players marking him unlike Rashford that starts running immediately and he should move with the ball into the midfield when the flank is clogged problem is the LB not joining in attack. Even Rashford that came in didn't create anything. Another problem is everyone knows our attack is through that left, there was more space on the right yesterday, their player just needed to stay infront of Valencia and there was space between the player and their LB. Now tell me why folks here shouldn't blame Mou, on most occasions, I saw Mata drifting inside to over crowd the middle and the right wing was unmanned and we have a coach who didn't notice it or did nothing to correct it...Before the game when Oasis posted the lineup, folks here were already rejoicing at the opportunity to see Mata behind Lukaku but I beckoned on them to hold their breathe cos I suspected Mou will play Lingard through the middle and it happened, it's the same shit he did against Pool where the personnel suggested 3-5-2 but Mou opted for something else... At Atletico Madrid, Simeone a defensive minded coach like Mou is trying to tweak his formation to give his team a chance whilst attacking cos of the problems they encounter when they come up against defensive minded teams, Mou should also work on trying to make us better attacking wise, we already understand the concept of park the bus... |

Martial is a fan favorite,so objectivity is often absent in criticizing players like that. He is very effective from the bench, let him go back. If Fergie was coach, he'd have taken off Lingard and one of Herrera or Matic and brought in Rashford and Mhkitaryan...Martial for all his poor play has that X-factor that can win you a game in a matter of seconds and that's why top Coaches don't take such players out and more often than not, play to their strength. |

SIRcumalot: yet rashidi still finds a way to thrive amidst all this formation and tactics change. martial should just be coming from the bench to attack tired legs, to dey think say this dude go morph into some kind star isn't good for my health. Rashford has not been better than Martial except that Mou and the press sings his praises more often than not, as Sailor pointed out, against CSKA moscow, Martial played a great game but Mou only attributed it to the nature of the game rather than his brilliance but if it was Rashford, they'd praise him to high heavens...We might loose Martial to prolly Barca in the near future if Mou keeps disrespecting him and asking him to play as LB in most occasions...A combination of Martial - Lukaku - Rashford should suffice against Spurs but Mou is damn too cautious in his approach and funny enough for our next two EPL games, we just have to get ready for ultra defensive approach, it's Spurs then Chelsea... |

How won't Martial look like bench players when we are set up to contain rather than have a go at teams that square up against us...Please I'd like folks here to sit down and watch our game little emphasis on the very small details we take for granted for instance, when Martial is on the ball running at the defenders, you'd find Young still in our half on most occasions or not making the right run to draw defenders away from Martial, also, you have a technical and physically limited Lingard saddled with the responsibility of linking the midfield and attack and combining with the wingers and you expect swashbuckling football? You are indeed in wonderland... And who uses two holding midfielders against a team like Huddersfield? Yes Herrera and Matic are both playing as holding midfielders and it's down to Mou to instruct Herrera to bump forward or find other solutions... |

Na really bad management be that True, one area of our team play that has held us back is the pairing of Matic and Herrera, two players who seem to be doing the same thing, all we need is one holding midfielder and another attacking mf who is also defensively conscious per match...Looking at our team, the only other MF who is good attacking wise and defensively conscious apart from Pogba is out on loan, Andreas Pereira. Talking about creativity, isn't it shocking to see Lingard play through the middle rather than Mata? And if we were ever gonna see Martial - Lukaku - Rashford combo, it should have been today...Who else remember when we had CR7, Tevez, Rooney, Berbatov all on the pitch at once against Spurs all because Fergie wanted the 3 pts and I think we got it, Mou should have taken off Young and push that headless chicken to LB since he didn't want to take him off, brought in Rashford, replaced Herrera with Mhkitaryan and go all out attack...something similar to City where KDB a natural AMF is played as a CM beside Silva with Fernandinho at the base, Mata - Matic - Mhkitaryan and up front Martial - Lukaku - Rashford... |
