Yes it is sinful not to go to church on Sunday as the authority of the church has made it so. For the biblical back up, Jesus Christ gave authority to his church on earth and what ever they bound or loose on earth is bound or loosed in heaven. So it is a mortal (fatal) sin against God not to go to church on a Sunday...

The Orekoya children kidnapped by a nanny, Mary Akinloye, in the Surulere area of Lagos State, have been rescued and reunited with their family.

A family source told The PUNCH on Wednesday that they were rescued on Tuesday night.

Confirming the incident, the children’s father, Leke, in a telephone chat with our correspondent laughed as he said the children were undergoing medical check up at a clinic.

He said, “Yes, they have been rescued. We are very happy.”

Asked if the N13m ransom was paid or the police did the job, he said the family would like to be silent on that aspect.

In the worst terror attack in Kenya since the 1998 bombing of the American embassy, Christian students at Garissa University were tormented by four gunmen for nearly 15 hours, and 148 were shot and killed. Why did it take an elite army unit nearly 7 hours to get to the University, which had only two guards on campus at the time of the attack? Why are we not standing up and as a world, protest the killing of these students, as we did when journalists at Charlie Hebdo were killed in Paris? I can clearly remember the kind of awareness we created when the bokoharam terrorist abducted our school girls. We all carried placards and yet nothing is done about the murder of these future great leaders. Has our sense of outrage been so numbered that we hear of the horrors and simply change channels? What has happened to our moral outrage? It gives me consolation to be among this candle light procession in commemoration of the souls of the faithful departed at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. You can do something of your own to show your respect.

We pray for the families who are grieving. Please, pray for the repose of the Souls of the dead students. Pray for mercy to forgive the killers.
