He was rightly informed. That's for a fresh application.

I was told same when I went to renew my wife's old DL. But, trust FRSC officials nah, there is a way to bypass that process which is why they will tell you to pay 15k (depending on who you meet).



The process has been in place since the new DL came on board.

this ur post is contradicting itself! but let it be clear dat this process is not affecting renewal of expired licenses. so if ur license has expired, hopefully its on d database, pls go straight to d license center to renew it.

there is no fixed fee for this but we managed to negotiate wt some driving schools n d fee thru us is 30k, this includes both for driving school n applying n getting d driver license.

sorry for u all. thankfully d process has changed.

Now, u r required to register wt an accredited driving school to get training for 26days, after which u will be sent an e-certificate from Abuja to be printed out and taken to driver license center to apply for ur driver license.

u will be spending up to 30k to get a driver license now.

i'm sure no one here knows dat yet!

Got all d stated above, I have done d change of ownership and affidavit but waiting for d vehicle registration to expire b4 changing d names while renewing. As regards d plate number I intend using it since d owner sold d car with d plates.

pls read d advises given carefully. u can't make a change on d name or other details on d documents until u do a proper change of ownership and plate replacement.

if u intend using d plate, den u r ready to continue using d information of d former owner on d documents.

I need your guidelines and directions on subject matter.

An Audi car my dad left for more than 5 years without using, since he has others, so I decided to make use of it after my NYSC service.
When I requested for the particulars, he said someone stole them including other valuables in the car back then so he has no other option than to park the car and make use of other cars.
As it stance am left with no single document.
What's the way forward pls.

police report n affidavit can cover for proof of ownership, allocation of plate reg, while u can get d renewable docs: vehicle licence, road worthiness n insurance. be mindful dat u will have to renew vehicle license from d time it wasn't renewed till date.

to start d process, use d plate no to get vehicle license n all other info u need to process the other docs will be available.

Well, most pple dat buy used vehicle are always in a hurry 2 change all d documents 2 dere names except in rare occasions due 2 some constraints.

By d time dey enquire about d proper process of change of ownership and replacement of d no plate which will lead 2 d documents being given on dere names, dey may realize dey aren't financially fit 2 go through dat @ d moment and cld decide 2 just renew d renewables and keep driving on d fomer owner's name pending when dey will be ready 4 d due process.

Depending on ur relationship with d buyer, u can find out y he hasn't gone through d proper process of change of ownership. If d reason is cash, u can choose 2 help a broda in need out and also 4 ur peace of mind.

I don't know why the news is not on d site, but this is what is on ground now. we haven't processed any fresh application since last week. and as at this week, we have already started registering people to driving schools, after having waited to see if the decision cld be reversed. 26days is counting for some people already!

yes he was well informed, only for fresh application though!

I am afraid I can no longer process driver license for anyone within 24hrs as before. There has been a change in d process by frsc.

unfortunately I can't help those outside Lagos, except u can come down here.

However, driver license procedure has changed. presently we are not processing application for fresh applicants. I will soon be updating this thread on d new procedure.

When I was reading ur story, I was asking myself if I posted in my dream because u were telling my story. Let me b straight. I understand ur plight very well. In my own side, sometimes am so fed up dt I cry. My son is going to be 4 this year and he cannot talk properly well as well. He is super-hyper active. This is hw I cope wt him:-
1) Beating makes him more stubborn. So I don't beat him often rather I use cane to threaten him
2) I force him to sleep whenever I felt he shld sleep even when I know he will not
3)If I don't want him to step out an inch, I will give him my phone to watch pictures and play games.
4) When I feel he shld, I put on Cartoon Network for him to watch.
5) I bought magic board for him to write and b tired of writing
6) I don't allow him play wt other children if am not watching them.
7) I send him errands around d house like fetching items for me.
Rather than beating him 4 being so inquisitive, I teach him how to use things. I demonstrate if need be.
9) Sometimes I pet him a lot because I realised it makes him human & he extends it to her younger sister.
10) I cannot leave him for even 5mins wt his younger sister because he might playfully kill her b4 I say Jack Robinson.
11) Most importantly, my husband and I normally lay our hands on him and ask God to perfect his life. We have even taken him to the elders of the church to pray 4 him.

I like ur points, very practical. playing games with my phone works for him but he usually deletes my apps!
