I'll be more realistic and patient now as the excitement don reduce.

Seeing as some people have taken the time to ignore the real direction of this thread and allowed a bit of emotions to get involved, it was inevitably going to end in bitter exchanges and unnecessary insults.


We all are Nigerians; rich or poor, privileged or otherwise...

One thing I know about us Nigerians is that we are passionate consumers. No matter how light our pockets are, nothing can stop us from splashing out our cash to get something that we really want.
That's why people pay over the top prices for Transsion devices... It's also the reason why cinemas can make hundreds of millions even during this difficult time... And there are many other instances of how we spend money, sometimes beyond our means to get satisfaction.

Both Xiaomi and Umidigi users; all of us included, love to think we're woke, that we're enlightened and can't be robbed by Tecno and Infinix ever again.

That's a good way to think but it shouldn't be the cause of bitter arguments that doesn't leave us with more knowledge, let's all drop the useless comparisons and focus on what's best for us individually.

I don't believe anyone on this platform is too poor to not be able to afford a Xiaomi phone, and I also don't think Umidigi users are so poor that they can't choose other products.

We all have a fair knowledge of what to check when looking out for a new phone and that's what ultimately affects our choices.

To me, brand doesn't matter, what I care about is the specs and how much value for money I'll get. So far, I chose Umidigi a5 pro because it's a huge upgrade on my infinix hot 4 pro (good device if you ask me ) and it's fantastic value for money.

People don't really care about brand anymore, what they care about is value for money... Even Marquees Brownes (abi whatever his name is) said The good phones are getting cheap and the cheap phones are getting good
If you don't believe me, you can go on YouTube and see faithful iPhone fanboys comparing iPhone XR and cheap android devices to show that Apple are the only ones still overpricing their products.

I guess the moral of this story is: I'm still waiting for my breathing crystal Umidigi A5 pro to be shipped and the wait is killing me.

someone who ordered one 8th of June said his phone was shipped since yesterday...

So, it's just a matter of time before they reach June 17...

Worst worst we'll receive our devices in August... But something tells me they've dispatched all our phones like they promised... Just that dispatching is different from shipping, so, once they get tracking numbers from the dispatch company, they'll update us. Let's see how things go till the end of the week.
