All I did was buy a copywriting course online (cost me 40k)

then I studied the course for 1 hour everyday.

Then 2 weeks ago, after applying the teachings of the course, I was able to get a client who paid me $226 to write Landing Page Copy (not even up to 500 words)


As you can see the date, the payment came in last night.

I spent 40k to buy the course,

I spent #50 on data (night sub) to download the course materials and put in some effort to learn the skill. In less than 3 weeks, I have gotten double of what I spent back...

What's the craziest Rich Person Behavior You have ever experienced?

Let's make it fun. I'll go first, and I have a few stories myself.

So, first of all, when I started freelancing on Fiverr in 2018, I waited for more than a year before I made my first sale... But after that, I got a crazy Oyinbo customer who was in college. The guy was Asian and he was pretty loaded (from the sound of it)...

This guy gave me regular writing gigs which was mostly his college assignments and then he would give me extra $10 or $20 as tip.

Then one day, he hit me up at night to quickly write a short paragraph for his physics assignment and he needed it within an hour.

I wrote less than 200 words and charged him $25 only for this guy to add a tip of $125 when I delivered.

That absolutely blew my mind and I wish every client I got was like that.

So, what's your own experience? Let's keep the fun going.

My brother, you're not the only one that got scammed o... I "invested" all my allowee savings into a crypto scam... I came back from service with debt.

Number one, I'm a freelance content writer who has firsthand experience about earning in dollars.

Number 2, I know that copywriting pays more than other forms of writing.

Number 3, I want to learn the skill so I can increase my income and get more jobs as a freelancer.

Number 4, I'm not financially bouyant right now, hence I cannot afford to pay #40k out of my own pocket for any course, but I would love to get the course. I could save up but who knows how long that might take? Or if the course would still be available for the price I wanna save towards?

Number 5, 2k is more affordable for me, and (quick maths here) with 19 other people who would love to learn copywriting, we can gather the #40k needed in record time. That's what is called crowdfunding... Oyinbo people do it all the time, so, why can't we?

With how badly Naira is holding up against the dollar, here's a quick list of things you can get with 2k today and how long you can enjoy them:

1. A stack of Bigi cola - Probably gonna last a week or two before you finish it.

2. Some nice Chicken Suya - A few hours if you're taking your time.

3. 4~5 bottles of beer - You know how long it would take to finish that.

4. ~12 litres of fuel - based on my generator's fuel consumption, I'd say about 15-18 hrs of power.

5. One medium size pizza box - maybe an hour or two.

6. Chicken and chips - Not the biggest servings so I'll say 30 minutes.

7. 2 movie tickets without any snacks - You'll probably be in the movie theater for about 2 hours...

PS: Feel free to add what you think 2k can buy in Nigeria today.
