This passage is one of the the passages that teach us that Jesus christ is the only worthy example for christians.It exposes the limitations of the prophets and exalt the perfection of christ.Elijha was also subjected to 'flesh'of which anger is one of the fruits of the 'flesh'.As christians,it teach us that we should be spiritually minded because the flesh cannot please God.Its only the spirit that drives us to live after christ.The flesh is weak,even with great prophets,the weakness was made manifest.IF it had been jesus christ,no matter the situation he wont destory lives.he endured more tribulation,more insults and more disgrace on his way to the cross.CHRIST IS OUR ONLY AND GREATEST EXAMPLE,THE PROPHETS FAILED ONLY CHRIST DIDNT.

According to statistics,Nigeria has approximately 45million individuals in the labour force of which only 24% are unemployed.But in the real sense i doubt it.our problem is underutilisation of factors of production especially labour.This country is so blessed that we have the 3rd highes GDP(gross domestic product)in africa,yet we are still no 15 in standard of living.I think we should channel more people into the agriculture sector.we dont have to be over dependent on oil,we should combine both for more efficiency.GOD BLESS NIGERIA,GOD BLESS THE YOUTH.One day,we will get there(our promised land)

These are my points concerning this issue.1.There is a wrong believe that people will go to heaven or hell immediately after death.In contrast,there is no going to heaven or hell fter death.The first judgement of the lord will occur when he comes from heaven,the dead in christ from the inception of the earth will then be joined with the righteous that are stilll living(1thessaloninans4:16).THERE IS NO IMMEDIATE JOURNEY UNTIL WHEN JESUS COMES BACK.2.The part that Mr frosbel missed out is the millenium.After the first judgement,when the righteous people that are living will be caught up together with christ,the millenium begins.REV20:4.'AND I SAW THRONES AND THEY SAT UPON THEM,AND JUDGEMENT WAS GIVEN UNTO THEM:AND I SAW THE SOULS OF THEM THAT WERE BEHEADED FOR THE WITNESS OF JESUS AND FOR THE WORD OF GOD AND WHICH HAD NOT WORSHIPED THE BEAST,NEITHER HIS IMAGE,NEITHER HAD RECEIVED HIS MARK UPON THEIR FORE HEADS OR IN THEIR HANDS AND THEY LIVED AND REIGN WITH CHRIST A THOUSAND YEARS.during this period,the earth will be desolate and void(jeremiah4:23-26).the righteous will go to heaven with christ and reign a thousand years thereby fulfilling JOHN14:2,3.'I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU AND IF I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR U,I WILL COME AGAIN AND RECEIVE U TO MYSELF,THAT WHERE I AM,THERE U MAY BE ALSO.Denying that the righteous will reign with christ in heaven mean denying that heaven is the dwelling place of God(from the above verse)3.When the 1000years(millenium)has finished,then the white thron judgement will begin(revelation20(7-11).this is when those that died without christ will be destroyed,hell and death will be destroyed also(vs8-15)..After all these,the new heaven and new earth emerge(the former earth has been destroyed).New jerusalem descend from heaven as the inhabitants of the saved eternally(rev.21-1-3,mathew5:5,isaiah35,isaiah 65:17-25.In summary,the saved will live with christ in HEAVEN for 1000years after that the unsaved dead are judged and new earth(jerusalem) descend as eternal home of the saved.PEACE

Another thing,u said it urself the sabbath was made for us because God does nt need rest.But God has nt given us the permission to sanctify a day ourselves.God already did that.I PRAY God helps us on this matter.AGAIN,I APPRECIATE UR POSTS.about speaking in tongue and the holyspirit,i will also need ur idea.PEACE

@nedostic,i appreciate ur posts.Actually am not criticizing the website but analyzing it and trying to correct what I THINK were wrong using bible verses.Back to the issue,am stressing this point again,ressurection of jesus does not change the sabbath,after this ressurection and throughout the rest of the new testament,the seventh day sabbath was still observed.Hebrews4:6-9 explains dat,please read these verses.The second thing is dat if the command of this rest is in God's commandment/law,dont u think its a sin(need ur idea on this)to disobey that law.remember our grace do not nullify the laws(romans6)and jesus said it himself.

The website has many flaws.1.the writer said the sabbath is not a day of rest.The fact is that when God created man,he instituted the rest because as human beings we need rest.As he said 'in isaiah'God fainteth not.The sabbath is a day of rest as well as a day of rememberance of the power of his creation through worship.2.He said God's convenant with Abraham was not based on the sabbath but on faith.The purpose of the sabbath was not of convenant.Faith in God includes acknowledging his ordinances and laws of which the sabbath was part.so in faith,Abraham obeyed all commandments.3.He said the sabbath signifies death to old man(sin).Dats funny,being death to sin and alive to christ is what baptism entails not sabbath.4.everyday should be a day that we will appreciate and praise God.Accepted,everyday should be a day of worship but there is a day that has been sanctified and hallowed by God for rest and worship.5.the first day of the week as the day God ressurected.As jesus clearly stated,he didnt come to abolish the law.Jesus didnt instituted another day of worship(hebrews 4:.6.denying the sabbath as the 4th commandment.What this person is saying is that the sabbath as the 4th law is not relevant or what.this is denying the law of God which has been written in our heart;the death of christ didnt abolish the laws at sinai.jesus himself honoured the sabbath by going to the sanctuary on that day,took part in services and gave religious instruction(mark1:21,mark3:1-4,luke4:16-27,luke13:10).he also fellowshipped with others(mark1:29-31).what he did about the sabbath was to teach them that the sabbath as a day of rest should not be a day when good deeds are forbidden.it should be a day of good deeds,a day to show mercy,rejoice with others and live happily against their former practices.MY OWN POINT.the creation work of God and the redemption work of christ explained the sabbath.after creation he rested and after our redemption through his death on the cross when he said its finished christ rested in the tomb symbolising that he had accomplished the redemption of the human race.After the death of christ,the disciples followed suit(acts13:14,acts17:1,2,acts18:4,acts16:13).THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK IS THE INSTITUTED DAY BY GOD.THROUGHOUT THE BIBLE,THE SEVENTH DAY SABBATH WAS HONOURED ACCORDING TO GOD'S LAW..on this matter remember hebrews 10:26.'for if we sin(transgression of law)willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.The seventh day is God's day it was changed by the roman catholic church and modern christians have followed suit claiming the change was because of christ's ressurection.The bible does not teach this,BEWARE OF FALSE DOCTRINES.
