Dancer and actor, Femi Ajewole, popularly known as Alfa Sule, came into the limelight many years ago as the founder of the Christ Chosen Vessel Dance Drama Ministry, which had his younger brother, Ayo Ajewole (Woli Agba) as a member. One of the groups’ most famous works is Alfa Sule, with the catch-phrase, ‘O ti gan pa’.

However, while Woli Agba has become a successful social media content creator, not much has been heard from the elder Ajewole.
But, in an interview with Sunday Scoop, Alfa Sule maintains that dance drama is still enjoyed by many. He said, “I refuse to subscribe to the notion that dance drama is fizzling out and people have moved on to comedy skits online. There is nothing like that, and it is not about the noise but it is about being a voice. That we are not seen making skits on social media does not mean people have moved away (from us) because we still get many invitations to minister in churches, schools, birthday parties and other functions. Also, the effectiveness of live ministrations cannot be compared to videos. Nevertheless, for the benefit of reaching more people across the world, we would put in more effort to make our movies available on social media. Audiences are made up of different people with different tastes. I have not seen anyone who is accepted by all and sundry because no one can satisfy everybody. I believe it is only a few people that are complaining and some of them don’t even follow our works. As a matter of fact, one of our works is ‘trending’ on YouTube.
“It is very important to understand one’s purpose. Once you understand your purpose, you would not try to be someone else. Our ministry does more movies than skits because of the purpose of the group and the unique gift given to us by God. Most skits are made to make people laugh and be happy but what God has given to my ministry is beyond just making people happy, but to give them joy. Happiness will only last for a while but joy is long-lasting.”

Ajewole also maintained that never went on a break. He said, “We did not go on a break. We have been very busy doing drama ministration from one place to the other. The reason many thought we went on break was because we did not operate on social media like we are doing now. I think it is a good idea to make more social media skits because social media is a good platform to reach lots of people, within and outside the country, and we are working on it. That is why we have put some of our works on YouTube though I think we need to put in more efforts.”

As the burial programme of the son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Dare Adeboye, commences today, the youths of the church as gone bald as a sign to show their last respect for the deceased.

The development, according to the youths of the church was to honour Pastor Dare Adeboye, who has been widely described as a ‘soldier’ as well as to appreciate his great impact on the development of the youth department of the church at large.

Tribune Online gathered that the act had flooded virtually all social media with an #forPDee #NotTodaySatan as part of the effort to honour the ‘fallen soldier’.


The two surviving sons of the notable cleric, Pastor Adeolu Adeboye and Pastor Leke Adeboye, also joined the league of youths of the church to go bald in honour of their late brother.
According to Leke Adeboye, development was to honour Pastor Dare Adeboye as well as to demonstrate ‘a clean heart and a clean soul as a Christian’.

He didn’t say don’t drink, no. He said, don’t be filled with wine, don’t be drunk with wine. So, don’t make wine an issue of your preaching when you talk to people about Jesus Christ, because as they grow in the things of God, they will live the wine behind, if they don’t find any serious benefit in it. So, it’s not an issue, stop making it an issue. God didn’t make it an issue, neither should you.”
