CelebritiesRe: Actors Guild To Sanction Tonto Dikeh Over Marriage Saga by Paulono: 12:47pm On May 04, 2019
dachilino:
The Actors Guild of Nigeria has stated that no marriage is perfect, as it warned Tonto Dikeh over her marriage debacle which took a different twist on social media in the past few days. Prince Ifeanyi Dike, Chairman Actors Guild of Nigeria Board of Trustees who warned Tonto Dikeh on behalf of the group, stated that no marriage is perfect and her recent action is why men are scared of marrying actresses. Speaking to newstimesafrica, he said;

“Tonto Dike is exhibiting bad behavior that we will no longer condone. What she should realize is that every marriage has its own issue."No one marriage is perfect. Issues like that are private. It is very unbecoming of her to portray us in bad light. There are so many actors who have issues with their marriages without getting the public involved.

"Her actions does not speak well of the industry. We are not interested in her private matters; rather we are concerned about her attitude which is rubbing off negatively on other actresses. Actions like this portray the industry as having unserious ladies. That is why men are scared of marrying actresses. Thank God that we have good examples in the industry. If she is looking for sensation, she should look for something else to use.  Honestly the Board of Trustee is not happy with her and if she continues this way we will sanction her. We do not encourage bad behavior.”

Its a pity how Tonto has gone down the hill and she's on a slippery slop. Her behavior is appalling and I blame her mother for watching her destroy herself like this. She is definitely a disgrace to Rivers people and the Niger Delta in general. Churchill should not respond to her, nemesis will definitely caught up with her. She has definitely on drugs again and do not deserve to raise up a child on this state
TravelRe: Immigration Suspends $90 Biometric Visa On Arrival Policy by Paulono: 7:38am On Jun 28, 2018
I don't think this is too much, in fact it should be increase. I just paid $567 for a two year UK visa. Imagine that the British colonize us yet charging us hell to enter their country for a legitimate reason while countries colonize by France was given free visa to enter. Please let them increase the fee.

nwakibie3:
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), has suspended the collection of $90 biometric Visa-On- Arrival policy it introduced about two weeks ago at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The policy had sparked controversy and protest by some incoming passengers – who without prior knowledge of the policy – refused to pay the $90 to the NIS.

The introduction of the charges also caused chaos at the MMIA terminal especially in situations where the NIS officials had to delay some of the passengers on arrival at the airport for refusing to pay the money. Most of the dissenting passengers had faulted the NIS for introducing the $90 biometric visa on arrival as well as an additional $20 as processing fee for foreigners who were entering the country in spite of the fact that such passengers had already paid for visas from

their respective countries. Daily Sun learnt yesterday that the biometric, which came on stream on June 12, was only implemented for two days, but had been suspended following complaints from some of the travellers who protested the lack of publicity prior to the commencement of the new policy.

Immigration sources told Daily Sun that the biometric Visa-On-Arrival charges was however being handled by Online Integrated Service (OIS), while the process charges is handled by New Works Limited.

The source explained that the biometric charges were introduced as a reciprocity given that some countries around the world were already charging Nigerians such fees upon entering their countries.

Some the notable countries with biometric charges on Nigerian travellers include the United Kingdom, United States of America, South Africa, Kenya and China among others.

PoliticsRe: Killings: Presidency Laments Hate Speech, Demands Respect For Buhari by Paulono: 9:38am On Feb 03, 2018
Ecstasy154:
The Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity told journalists in Abuja on Friday that many media organisation are guilty of reporting hate speech as it concerns the report of clashes in Benue State.

“The growing lack of respect for journalism ethics and press laws in the Nigerian media, especially regarding the clashes in Benue State is very unfortunate.

“The frequent expression of hate speech published by newspapers, in news stories and especially in columns is indeed a source of concern to all.

“We want to state emphatically that a segment of the Nigerian media is sinking deeper and deeper into the mesh of hate speech in spite of repeated appeals by recognised and reputable media bodies, the Government and concerned Nigerians.”

The presidential spokesman said also condemned a publication in a national newspaper which said ‘‘President Muhammadu Buhari was the first to endorse the Benue massacre’’ on New Year Day stating that this is inciting members of the public.

Shehu also cited example of a national newspaper with the headlines: ‘Expect More Blood in Benue.’

“Apart from the basic tone of respect expected from an individual who is supposedly intelligent and educated enough to know better since they have been granted space to write in a national newspaper, there is the risk of inciting the public to actions that will have gory consequences for the entire nation for generations to come.

“Those beating the gongs of war and fanning the embers of discord must remember what prevailed in Rwanda before the genocide of the early 90s, during which hundreds of thousands of lives were lost as a result of consistent hate speech spewing from that country’s media,” he said.

He appealed to the media to express criticisms without resorting to name calling.

“We must learn to express our grievances and criticisms without resorting to gutter language or to name calling, and the press has a responsibility to maintain that even if it means calling their columnists to order.

Calling for respect for the position of the President, Shehu said President Buhari according to the constitution has the primary duty of protecting life and property and that is what he has been doing in Benue and across the country.

“Calling him a murderer is not only grossly disrespectful but unfair, especially when the President has written a letter to the Senate detailing his efforts to quell the crisis in Benue State, including dispatching the Minister of Interior and the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of operations for an on the spot assessment of the situation in the aftermath of the unfortunate incident; and receiving a direct briefing from the IG the following day.”

deji17:
Jonathan’s loyalists responsible for Maina’s reinstatement – Presidency
Published October 25, 2017
PUNCH
Olalekan Adetayo, Abuja

The Presidency on Wednesday said some influential government officials loyal to the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan were responsible for the reinstatement of the embattled former Chairman of the defunct Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina, into the service.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, stated this in a statement made available to journalists.

Shehu was reacting to a statement by the Peoples Democratic Party on the matter.

He said the PDP had no moral right to level any accusations against the current government in respect to Maina.

“Some influential officials loyal to the previous government may have been the invisible hand in the latest scandal that saw the return of Maina to the public service, despite being on the EFCC’s wanted list,” the presidential spokesman said.

He, however, assured Nigerians that President Muhammadu Buhari is determined to get to the bottom of the matter of the impunity that led to Maina’s reinstatement.

“Everything will be uncovered in due course. This just goes to show us the scale of corruption that this government is fighting. And, as we can all see, corruption keeps fighting back viciously,” he added.

Shehu also described Maina as one of the monsters created by the former PDP government, and which are still rearing their ugly heads long after the party was soundly defeated in the 2015 elections.

“Over and over again, the President Buhari government has pointed out that the administration’s greatest problem is the mess left behind by the previous government. Maina is just one more example,” he said.

We just wasted the four years given to the hoodlums all in the name of change. I think the DSS director and the AGF should step down or be sack if the president means business, if nothing the country is gradually moving towards anarchy

EducationRe: JAMB: How Cut-off Marks Were Fixed – Registrar by Paulono: 3:19pm On Aug 24, 2017
dammy13:
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has revealed how the cut off marks were fixed for higher institutions.

It said contrary to insinuations that it fixed the Tuesday’s tertiary institutions’ minimum admission cut-off marks, it was rather a collective decision of stakeholders in the education sector.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, spoke to reporters yesterday, insisting that stakeholders in the sector unanimously agreed that the minimum cut-off marks for the university degree for the 2017 academic year be put at 120, lower than the previous years, which stood at 180.

He allayed fears that the development might further lower Nigeria’s education standard.

He stated that besides the board recommending cut-off marks for universities, polytechnics and colleges of education as well as monotechnics, individual institutions could raise their admission benchmark higher but not above 180 and below 120 for universities.

He said, “With this decision, universities are not to go below the minimum 120 cut-off points adopted by the meeting for admissions.

“What JAMB did was a recommendation, we only determined the minimum, whatever the various institutions determine as their admission cut-off mark is their decisions.

“The Senate and academic boards of universities should be allowed to determine their cut-off marks.“

The man has not completely left his bachelor life even married, he still fancy other ladies probably he was double dating when he you guys are in courtship. One thing men don't like is monitoring them, no man likes it but at one point or the other every man comes to his senses and accept his extra marital activities has to stop. Please do what you normally do when you first met and pray he will come around. Just know this it takes the grace of God to arrest a cheating partner.
God will step into your marriage

Hello Nairalanders.

I have been married for a year and half. I thought hubby and i have been living happily and i would've swore he was faithful. A few days ago i saw that a random lady messaged him on Facebook and they got talking. I was shocked at first to see that he was chatting her up. Fast forward to yesterday I checked his phone and saw that himself and the lady had more conversation and what started as facebook chat had progressed from phone calls to whatsapp chat. The content of their chat seems they were eventually planning to hook up.

I confronted hubby but he wasn't remorseful and told me he doesn't owe me faithfulness and went on to sleep in the other room. Hubby and I pray together and are looking towards a very bright future together, this is not something i really saw coming from him. I am very troubled in my heart and pregnant for our first baby. He dozent feel any atom of pity that the whole issue might cause me problems and I have been wondering what has come over him. I am 100 percent faithful to my hubby and want the union to work out. I am at work typing and holding back tears. Please i need advise from mature people in the house, how do i deal with the situation. I am in my late 20s, he is in his late 30s.
kinkonp:
Boye Olusanya, the chief executive officer of 9mobile, has revealed why the company chose the new name after it stopped being called Etisalat, Daily Trust reports.

Olusanya made his comments during a press briefing which held in Lagos.

According to the CEO, the new identity is a reflection of the bold and creative attributes which the organisation shares with its valued subscribers.

Olusanya disclosed that the new brand name was chosen deliberately as it is a representation and confirmation of the company’s Nigerian heritage, its 9ja-centricity and a new phase of its growth over 9 operational years in Nigeria.

Hence, customers have been assured that the company’s values would remain the same even though it has experienced a change of name.

Further analyzing aspects of the new name and logo, Olusanya stated that the new logo represented the brand’s thoughts about the future of digital technology and its continued impact on communications and human interactions.

The logo also represents continuity and resilience; with its number theme representing the futuristic slant of the network.

The brand’s color which remains unchanged (green) further represents ‘Nigerianness’, as well as vibrancy, dynamism, life and youth.

Emerging Markets Telecommunication Services Limited (EMTS) formally confirmed the development on Tuesday, July 18.

PoliticsRe: FG To Finance 11% Of 2017 Budget With Recovered Loot by Paulono: 10:19pm On Jun 19, 2017
seunmsg:
The Federal Government said on Monday it would use a fraction of the looted funds recovered so far to finance part of the 2017 budget.

The Minister of Budget and National Planning, Sen. Udoma Udo Udoma, said this at the 2017 budget breakdown in Abuja.

He said the total revenue projected was N5.08tn, with 11 percent coming from the recoveries made.

“On recoveries, we are being extremely conservative; what is in the budget is what we know about already.

“So if more comes, we will use it.

“Know that recoveries of looted funds are not the most dependable way to finance the budget because of the legal processes that have to be concluded before it can be spent.

“So, the money quoted in the budget is the one we have already recovered and in our pocket to spend as we wish.’’

He said the total revenue projected exceeded the 2016 projection by 30.26 percent, adding that oil revenue projection was put at 41.7 percent compared to 19 percent in 2016.

Udoma added that the high revenue expectation from oil was driven by Joint Venture Calls (JVC) cost reduction, higher production and price, exchange rate as well as additional oil-related revenues.

According to him, Company Income Tax (CIT) will contribute 15.9 per cent, Value Added Tax (VAT) 4.8 per cent, Independent Revenue 15.9 per cent and others 5.2 per cent.

He also said the projected budget deficit which stood at N2.36tn remained relatively low at 2.18 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

“This is within the 3 percent threshold stipulated in the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA).

“The budget is to be financed mainly by borrowings which have been projected at N2.32tn.

“Of this amount, N1.07tn is intended to be sourced externally, while N1.25tn will be sourced domestically.”

Udoma stated that N35bn is expected as revenue from the outright sale of government property and privatisation of state-owned enterprises.

He said to generate the projected revenue, the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and Customs had been challenged to improve their efficiency and broaden their reach to achieve the set targets in the 2017 budget.

He said the Federal Government would strive to maximise the revenues it could generate from the oil and gas sector because the foreign exchange generated from the sector was critical for plans to diversify to the non-oil sectors.

“It is important that we use what we have to get what we need and want and what we have is oil.

“It is important that we make sure there is peace in the Niger Delta so that we can achieve the maximum from that resource,” he said.

The N7.44tn budget was signed into law by the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, on June 12, a month after it was passed by the National Assembly.

Referred to as the ‘budget of recovery’, the budget was first presented on Dec. 14, 2016, to the two chambers of the National Assembly by President Muhammadu Buhari at an estimate of N7.30tn.

The lawmakers, however, increased it by N143bn.

Let me start by giving you a background story to what you are about to read.

In 2015, the girl I love left me in a disvastating manner. I was so heartbroken. I decided to be careful so as not to have such experience again. I changed completely.
From 2015 to March this year, I comfortably and effortlesly walked in and out of 5 relationship. Leaving the ladies heartbroken,

It was in March that I realized that am finding it difficult to love a woman. So I consciously try to change it and settle with my future bae.

Last week, I met a dreamed girl. She is hot and well endowed from the back. She is the perfect girl I want. Within 3 days, I discovered she has fallen in love with me. I reciprocated by showing her care. Then I discovered she is the jealous type.
She told me she left an abusive relationship with a rich guy and have made up her mind not to go into any till I showed up.
I invited her over to my place today, the moment we walked into my apartment, she was all over me. She followed me to the kitchen while I prepared food for her and started kissing me.
While we were together, her ex called and she told him that she has found rest of mind with someone else.
Done eating, we set to talk and we started kissing. Then she asked me to make love to her. I declined and explained to her that is too early for it and don't want to rush into it. She was angry and mad at me, accusing me of sleeping around with my school friends, she couldn't believed I said No.
She started crying and made me to understand that I just have to make her cum. That's she is feeling that way cos she is totally in love with me. That I shouldnt make her remember her past.
I decided to play with her all through till she was satisfied.

Am left confused. I really love this girl and I don't want to have sex with her now. She may end up like others. My love for her hasnt matured yet. I need grow more in love with her.
. Guy be very careful with this girl, she is a sex addict and if possible try n get in touch with her ex and find out what really make her leave him in the first place maybe you might find the answer to her sex request so soon
Minister of information, culture and tourism, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, says Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, leader of Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) is not in detention.

He said the Islamic leader is currently staying with his family in a house built for them by the federal government.

Mohammed made this known while speaking on a Channels TV programme on Thursday.

El-Zakzaky has been in custody for years despite court orders for his release.

But the minister said there is no place to release El-Zakzaky to as “nobody wants to accept him as a neighbour”.

“There is a lot of deliberate misunderstanding on El-Zakzaky’s issue,” he said.

“If a judgment is given and that judgment is appealed, you cannot accuse the government of violating a court order if the appeal has not been decided.

“Also, in the case of El-Zakzaky, how many Nigerians know that El Zakzaky is actually not in prison custody nor police custody nor DSS custody? El-Zakzaky is in a house with his family, this is the honest truth.

“The court ruled that he will be released after his house has been rebuilt. Nobody wants to accept El-Zakzaky as a neighbor. So we have been able to build a house, where do we release him to.”

Abomination, wickedness in high places, some parents are failures in this our generation, how can this fake pastor be spending church on your child even to the extent of buying expensive phones for her at the age of 14 they never cared to sit their child down to ask her some necessary question, you see the outcome she is now paying for all the thing she eat, God pls don't allow her to die show her mercy
Only God will know whether the girl will be okay again. What is the world turning into? This girl will grow up and get married having children will now be a challenge.
