The word demonized is actually the proper word and not "possession " as put in king James Bible English. It simply mean having one or more aspects of ones life under the control of demons.

Can a Christian be demonized?
Yes!
A human being is a Trinity of Body soul and Spirit. Hence, a christian can be demonized at the level of
His Environment
His Body- sickness
His Soul- character problems
But NOT his spirit.

Salvation is the deliverance of ones spirit. The Holy Spirit forms a union with our spirit. This makes us a new creature and Sons of God.

A Christian can be demonized after being born again if he/she crosses the line in terms of some kind of sin. Eg. A Christian commits fornication or adultery with an infected person or commit murder or visits/participate in the occult, use of talisman etc. But, ordinarily, Christians are protected from demonic infections.

Deliverance can take place spontaneously at salvation because of the "spiritual sanitation" which takes place with the one who is saved. He literally starve out the demons through righteous living and the light of Christ in him/her.

The key of determining if one is infected or not is by looking at persistence occurrence of negative attribute/occurrence around ones life.

If you suspect that you could be demonized, the first and last place to start is by doing self deliverance in Jesus name. Like I said, some deliverance are instant while some seems progressive. Every child of God is given authority over demons.
