Nice arrangement. So tell me, what sort of "goods" can someone actually send to kenya as you cited which is in high demand there which can rake in money? Are those goods food items, household wares, appliances? What are they?? I'm just curious
l know some who bring in spare parts, hair extensions, shea butter, raw cocoa powder etc.

Thank you bro, due to finance, i will start in small quantity, therefore my production may not be enough for the demand locally. From my market research, the local demand will be high. I will need growth in production before exporting. Therefore exportation may not start immediately.
I know you need to start out with the local market. If when l visit Nigeria and do come across it, l will certainly pick some rolls to travel back with because the pack makes it so convenient as a pack should take care of my pot of Ogbono soup! cheesy

Looking inward is not that easy, if it is that easy many state would have done that..looking inwards also attracts resources. Obiano in Anambra state invested about 5billion naira on rice production, that is inward, you use what you have to achieve what you want. Anambra state is the only state in Nigeria with low unemploment, they are trade oriented people and highly innovative, the percentage of their civil servant is so low that they have enough for capital project. Akwa ibom has 70% for capital project with only 20% for recurrent expenditure. So they have enough to look inward. Ekiti is a civil servant state with the highest records of PhD holders and master degree holders, the remaining are farmers mainly subsistence for livelihood. In a state where they depend on the government for survival, looking inward will be war. Is just like genocide...they can only look inward if they have enough left after paying salaries
Looking inward takes determination and not for the mentally lazy. Fayose is in a good position to transform Ekiti from a civil servant state to one of enterprise. In the Agric section, l as an individual introduced sack farming to many who are now growing cucumbers in used cement bags which can be grown anywhere even on the decking of an uncompleted building, this is creating wealth where hitherto seem impossible. I did not spend money to impact such but shared my knowledge with them.

Having the highest records of PhD holders and master degree holders is only worth it if it translates to innovations not hust certificates to earn a salary. Should crude oil drops to $10 per barrel what will be the fate of the state? There should be a re-orientation.

Let me cite Kenya as an example. An estimated 5.2 billion litres of milk are produced in Kenya annually and most of these are being produced by small holder farmers with 2/3 cows, they milk twice daily and take their milk to their co-operative pick up point where milk processors comes to pick them up twice daily. I living in Nairobi far off from those small holders, goes to the supermarket insert 260 shillings into the milk vending machine and my 4 litre can is foiled with pasteurized milk, 50% of that money belongs to the small holder.

Diversification begins with a resolution that we can not continue with our old ways, one do not need billions to start out but a workable strategy. If Ekiti decides to be a major exporter of butternut squash and veggies like cucumber, cabbage etc to Lagos, that will take only 6 months if bureaucracy is done away with. It is no rocket science my brother, this is my forte.

one litre of palm oil is 960 grams. From my analysis, i produce one roll of package palm oil from one litre of palm oil which is 12 satchets. Therefore one satchet of my NATURE OIL is approximately 80g. Therefore, i sell 80g of package palm oil @ 50 naira, and one roll of package palm oil @ 500 naira for retailers. By Gods grace, i propose to start production by next month july 2016. I need partners asap.
One you begin production do send me a mention. It l tell you, once it is well processed and packaged you will do well in the export market...MARK MY WORD!

And tell me what it is you can export out of Nigeria which is viable in the International market without Customs still swooping on it and asking for their egunje?
There are people at the port who know their way around. Let me cite an example, some of us in Kenya who bring in goods for sale from Nigeria, all we have to do is tell our contact person in Nigeria to have the goods dropped at a particular place within the trade fair complex in Lagos, the goods are weighed, about N450 is paid per kilo. Your contact person's duty ends there as every Saturday the forwarding company takes the cargo to the Airport then the following Wednesday we go to the shop of their partner here in Nairobi to pick our goods, paying 200ksh per kilo to clear it. No direct contact with Customs both in Nigeria and Kenya! Igbo guys run the forwarding business on both sides.

Whatever u say will not dim the fact that Fayose and others need to look inward. The thousands of container loads of Avocado Kenya exports is from their peasant farmers!

Fayose is not the problem of Ekiti, the state allocation is being deducted monthly due to the debt compiled by Fayemi. What can a state do with N500 million monthly allocation instead of the regular 3billion. Is wage bill is 2.5billion and is getting N500 million monthly + 200million monthly internal allocation. Oya do the calculation, how will he pay? I believe he is managing to safe the few he had to pay at least 2months. If Obiano met serious debt, Anambra will be worst than Abia but Obiano met 75billion naira left by peter Odili. Fayose left 10billion naira in his first term, what happen when he left? maybe you should ask Tinubu and Fayemi
When a State lives off monthly allocation there is bound to be such. The land and the people of Ekiti State are more than enough to earn what the State would need to run itself if the brain to harness it is there! How many billions is Ekiti earning from supplying food to the over 20 million people living in Lagos?

Thank God for Anambra. Thank God for Onitsha/Nnewi/Mkpor main markets. Thank God for big taxes from big companies.

Wetin Ekiti get?
It is not as it was the FG that created those markets you mentioned, It is the combined entrepreneurial spirit of individuals that made them to what they are today. When l posted that Fayose is not developing the State's human capital by sharing rice as if they are in an IDP camp, some dimmed minds went into insult mode!

If you are interested in investing in
manufacturing of products, I have a new idea on
refining, red palm oil package it in a satchet, in
Nigeria, every household need palm oil, and
people have package it in different ways but they
have not been able to package it in a satchet, to enable people buy it, this is because, if package, it
will sleep after a day or two days, however i have
practically find how to refine it, package it and it
can stay more than 2 years without sleeping off.
Check if you are interested in kicking off this
project. See Picture 1 : current packages of Palm oil, and picture 2, my proposed sample of
packaging it like Power oil, which will be sold @
50 naira per pack to enable every average
Nigeria to be able to buy. If interested, write to
me on :chisco4christ @gmail.com.
How many grams weight will the proposed 50 naira pack be?
