Love is one of the most misunderstood and misused word. Love to most is the physical and emotional expression of feelings of affection. Love is said to be what you feel for the opposite sex which you cannot describe. Some misquote the holy book when it says love your neighbors as yourself and that love covers all things. Whereas this refers to the love of God, the agape love, the pure love, unattached originating the heart to the creations of God. The love between a man and woman is platonic love. It does not cover all at all. It’s the foundation of relationship but we don’t live in foundations. It’s the fuel in a car it’s not the engine. It’s the beginning and not the substance. You must look beyond love; check out the compatibility, understanding, joint hope and ambition, friendship and unity of purpose and interdependence. Love can only carry a marriage for almost two years then it starts to ask questions. Apostle of Jesus worked with him with agape love but after few years called him to ask Him “what is in this ministry for us, we left our work, family to follow you”? Our parents due to lack of knowledge or understanding concentrated on love of between two people as basic for marriage; the reason for many failed marriages. Our parents concentrate on the wedding ignoring the marriage: wedding is a day ceremony; marriage is a life time ceremony of togetherness. http://payasmirror.com/do-you-know-the-meaning-of-love/ |
Being secure is part of person well-being. Karl Marx claims that society is in a state of perpetual conflict due to competition for limited resources. It holds that social order is maintained by domination and power, rather than consensus and conformity. According to conflict theory, those with wealth and power try to hold on to it by any means possible, chiefly by suppressing the poor and powerless. In this article Kaduna state is the actor, especially the southern Kaduna crisis, which has lingered for some time though there seems to be a return to normalcy as the military has recently established a base in the troubled area with the intention of restoring peace and security all the affected areas within the state and environs. A recent survey conducted by NOIPOlls reveals that 4 in 10 residents of Kaduna South senatorial district indicated that they don’t feel secure in their present location The survey further sought to find out the major causes of the conflict. 38 percent disclosed that religious differences served as the background that triggered the conflict 26 percent mentioned that the crisis occurred as a result of the lingering misunderstandings between the farmers and the herdsmen on the basis of grazing lands and water sources disputes. http://payasmirror.com/we-are-not-secure-southern-kaduna/

Nigeria, a land of abundant human and natural resources, is full of potentials. Just like every other developing country, very low come to terms with its achievements. At every point in the history of this great nation a great mistake is always made with our choice of leadership as you will agree with me that the bane of this nation is leadership; a person with great vision, mission, patriotism, ideas and the will to not only do the needful, but also engineer the goodwill required to steer the nation in the right direction. While Jonathan could be said a bad dream who came about by the political calculus that has no bearing but as a cover up for the rapes by the Obasanjo regime, we are all witnesses to the sharing formula in his administration. Some saw governance as the sharing of the nation’s wealth among party faithful through wasteful contracts and expenditures. Hopelessness in his regime led Nigeria on the hunt for someone that will take them to the Promised Land and believing that Buhari was the ONE for the job, the people prevailed, leading him to electoral victory at the polls without a benefit of the doubt. As events unfolded, it became glaring for all to see that the miracle years credited to him was made possible by Idiagbon. This cannot be the man who did all these things. Buhari is a man of average intelligence who has nothing else going for him except his strong personality, boldness, patriotism and alleged hate for corruption. He may not be a leader like Jonathan but definitely Buhari came into Aso rock without a plan. This victory came on the heels of continuously vying for the Presidency for 12 straight years. Despite his anti-corruption stance, allegations of his cabinet members breaching the rules and alleged perpetrating corruption are ignored or downplayed by his administration That Buhari is not corrupt does not mean Nigerians should be poor. You can do honest business to make honest money as not all that are rich are corrupt. May we say he just thrives in supposed austerity? A good administration is not the one that spreads poverty, but the one that shares the nation’s wealth to the people not to a selected few. “As it were” Buhari could collect huge contract and execute it honestly, take part in oil sales honestly make big money without corruption as an example. He still has a farm with only 150 cows after many years of rearing them, “this is not a good business man”. Buhari loves poverty, not necessarily because he is not corrupt; but could that be his nature? http://payasmirror.com/is-buhari-another-big-mistake/ |
In the mid-eighties, the IBB regime made a holistic study and changed our security agencies by breaking up the Nigeria Security Organization (NSO) into State Security Service (SSS) – Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA) – and Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) – All with specific functions for specialization and efficiency to strengthen security within and outside Nigeria. For instance the State Security Service (SSS); Responsible for domestic intelligence, Nigerian Intelligence Agency (NIA); Counterintelligence operations and Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA); Responsible for military intelligence. The original Nigeria Police Service and the latter NSCDC (Nigeria security and Civil Defense Corp). All these services in the National Security corridor; have ended up performing over lapping functions. Yet adequate safe and peaceful society seems elusive in Nigeria. http://payasmirror.com/lapping-functions-bane-security-agencies/ |
The local community is the focus of attention, I’m of strong conviction that community affected with such disaster “terrorism” allowed to figure out solutions to its problems. Community participation can be loosely be defined as the involvement of people in activities to solve their own problems. Boko Haram (Western Education is forbidden) and other activities and teaching that could radicalize individuals and insight violence, posing threat to peace and unity are not solitary to the North-East region but all-inclusive to the country, Community participation has also been associated with rural development and as an ingredient to community sustainability and empowerment. However, community participation as dynamic, the idea is for everyone to actively be engaged, inspite the need for community development and empowerment, individual have the freewill to participate in any activity that will promote development and bring sustainability to the community. Damages made by terrorism in Nigeria cannot be over emphasis. This is why the youth in Maiduguri jointly decided to form the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in 2013 to repel attacks by the dreaded Boko. The testimonies by a school teacher in Maiduguri; i wondered how life would have been without the ‘Civilian JTF’ and thanked God for their rise. “They are God-sent, especially since they’re complementing the efforts of soldiers,” he said adding that between 2009 and 2013 when Boko Haram became venomous, the sect mingled with regular citizens and therefore had a field day, killing at will and sneaking out. “But when the youth rose against them, the era of shoot-and-run ended. The youth also inspired others to refuse to tolerate the choking violence, to the extent that it will be very difficult for insurgents to come back to Maiduguri and do what they did before.” (Hyeladzira Malgwi). Malgwi viewed this success only when the youth decided to protect their community by jointly participating and inspiring others to join the fight, this in other hand is said to be community policing. Mulwa (2003) echoes that community development initiatives fail because of the lack of true participation of the communities. The North-East could have been secured earlier than expected by encouraging community involvement in the fight against the dreaded Boko haram and not the top-bottom approach by the government though commended, it said “community can only be conquered with the help of the citizen of that community”. http://payasmirror.com/community-participation-approach-fight-terrorism-nigeria-spread-across-ibrahim-wudiri/ |
Former Vice President and chieftain of All Progressives Congress, Atiku Abubakar debunks the accusations by the Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, that he and others were responsible for his retirement from the police force in 2002. Reacting to the Oba’s allegations published in a section of the media, the former Vice President says in a statement by his media office in Abuja on Tuesday, 31 January that at no time did he suggest nor propose the removal of Akiolu from the police force. The statement explains that Atiku never supervised the Nigeria Police or the Police Service Commission, and therefore, couldn’t have been part of any alleged plot to force the Oba out of public service for committing no offence. The former Vice President also explains that he had no power over the Police Force or the Police Service Commission to remove anybody for whatever reason from office without committing any offence. Atiku Abubakar emphasises that he was not familiar with Oba Akiolu as at the time the monarch was removed from the Police Force. The Turakin Adamawa affirms that he holds the Oba of Lagos in the highest esteem, but he is totally innocent of the allegations the monarch made against at him. http://payasmirror.com/atiku-abubakar-debunks-the-accusations-by-the-oba-of-lagos-rilwanu-akiolu/ |

Conscience is the innate pure spirit in a human being, the pure spirit of truth and purity, the spirit of discernment that pricks our souls and minds whenever will want to do something wrong or something wrong is happening to people around us . Worship the Lord with your conscience, work for a living with your conscience, love with your conscience and importantly lead people; govern them with your conscience; that is where the problem is at. We have now a generation of leaders who have being governing us without conscience; devil has taken their conscience away. They are totally blinded by their ambitions to the feelings and concerns of the less privileged, who are the majority, the ones they confused and say the elected them. http://payasmirror.com/leadership-without-conscience/

It has been proven that the height a nation attains to is a function of the type of leadership of that nation. When and if a wrong set of persons find their way into leadership of a nation they tend to see their positions as compensation for their role in their candidate’s ascension to power. It is their moment of taking whatever is available for personal use; it’s the misuse of power leading to a disjointed administration. The nation suffers in growth and development. But if a country is lucky to have a leader that understands leadership and sees it as an opportunity to serve, the people and nation are uplifted. http://payasmirror.com/role-of-leadership-in-nation-building/

MMM Nigeria is open for business a day earlier than promised! Dear members, The holidays are over, and we''re now open. Just as promised. (You might have already noticed that we always stick to our promises. Actually, we promised to be open on January 14, but we''re open now, January 13, as you can see, which is a day earlier. (Well, I hope, the members of the System will forgive us for that. It''s related to the hysteria raised by the authorities and the mass media around MMM. By joining forces, they''ve managed to nearly give the members of the System a heart attack and have frightened them out of their wits. Poor souls don''t know what to expect. Will we open again or not? This is why we''ve decided, considering the situation, to reach out to the members, reassure and cheer them up by opening a little earlier. After all, Together We Can Change The World! http://payasmirror.com/mmm-nigeria-open-business/

December, 2016 – Latest public opinion poll results released by NOIPolls Limited have revealed that majority (45 percent) of Nigerians surveyed, disclosed that poverty is the most significant root cause of child labour in Nigeria.
