TravelWhat Are Penalties For Overstayed Visa? by Peacefulplace(op): 8:24am On Jun 16, 2024
I read it's $200 for 90 day overstay and $4000 for 1 year over stay. My last extension cost $350. Will I get banned from the country if I overstay? And how can I get CERPAC card for a good price? Willing to pay $$$

WHAT I CAN'T STAND TO SEE A MAN DO TO A WOMAN IN A RELATIONSHIP

Can you imagine a world without women 😢

It is totally incomplete

Every woman is a blessing and gift to our world

Learn to celebrate every woman in your life even if she's your staff or you are working under her.

Value them
Appreciate them

They are not intimacy gadget
Give them opportunity to become better

Every woman multiply whatever you give her privilege to have or be part.

When you empower a woman, you have empowered two men in One

They are the gift of God to us as Men

Treat them well

I can't stand it when I see a man abuse a woman.

They are treasure that should be protected

I can't stand it to see man who can't celebrate a woman

I can't stand to see a man who can't empower a woman to succeed

Every woman must be valued, appreciated and celebrated too

Wish more men were like this in Nigeria.. as a Westerner, I know Nigeria is sooo much different to us. This of what you say is bare minimum in western countries. But in nigeria, women are treated badly by a lot of men. Not everyone, but a lot. They are seen as lower then men here. I still don't know why.
Dating And Meet-up ZoneMy Nigerian Man Won't Stop Telling People Lies About Me by Peacefulplace(op): 5:09am On Jun 09, 2024
We are about to get married and when I try to communicate something to him that needs to change, he gets very angry and loses it. No matter how calm I try to be. I told him he needs work on his anger, he became mad to a crazy point and involved everyone in our hotel. Then it made me upset because he wouldnt not stop. I found many deleted messages from every person he knows including family telling them many bad things about me that are not true or twists the story. Everytime he becomes angry he does this.. but never apologizes to them or correct them that he was out of line. Never says anything nice to anyone about me and hides my profile picture of us from many people on Whatsapp.. it never stops.. I tell him to stop but he never does. He calls everyone he knows when there is a issue and blames and belittles me.. i cannot change this man because he does not want to be changed. He see no wrong in his actions..

Is this a Nigerian thing? His friend told me that most Nigerian men are a lot harsher then him and would even beat me.. is this true? Are there any safe Nigerian men who treat their wives very well?

I am considering leaving him because I have tried for a long time to help him change, but he no change.. he cannot control his anger. He is 32 and still not married or have lived with a woman besides me.. he complain to people that I make him pay rent when I pay for all rent, all food, all bills myself. I understand a job in Nigeria is not good for income.. but at least he could try and make me happy for everything I do for him. I even leave my whole country for him after 2 years of dating online and visits. Now we live together he is acting somehow strange and tells everyone he is in misery ... But I cook, clean, and give him sex every day. I try my best so why this treatment and disrespect to me? Is this normal in Nigeria for men to say awful things about their wives/partners when angry or lie? I need advice please

Please no rude comments, I have no one to talk to in Nigeria and these things are to much in my head I need to vent. Please understand me.

TravelI Need A Immigration Officer Who Can Help Me With Niger Wife Residency by Peacefulplace(op): 10:02pm On Jun 05, 2024
I am Australian and want to apply for "Niger wife" residency (international wife of Nigerian). So I can lawfully stay here with my partner .

But you see, I am having issues. My immigration officer told I cannot apply for Niger wife residency on a tourist visa. That I need to return to Australia to change my visa and apply for Niger wife residency. It will cost $6000 Australian dollar (6-7million naira) for plane tickets to Australia and back. It's to much..

I am currently staying in ajah and in need of a immigration officer who can process Niger wife without having to travel back to Australia. Surely there is a way? If anyone can help I will appreciate it thank you and God bless

Why not go to the nearest immigration service location to you for more enquiries. I'd advice your partner be the one to show his face while seeking these information so as not to set yourself up for fleecing.

You could extend your visa and get married urgently to secure a marriage certificate and with that you are all set.
Immigration said I can't apply for Niger wife unless I first go back to Australia and apply. But I can't right now sha. They say I cannot apply for Niger wife on tourist visa.

I am an Australian woman who has overstayed her Nigerian visa so I could make a life with my partner. We plan on getting married soon so I can get residency. But money has been a issue since currency is going down a lot in Australia compared to naira.

We need more time..
I want to extend my visa to 28 days. But was told I need my passport stamped in Lagos for the extension but I am in owerri. If I overstay my visa, I am told they can stop me from being able to to apply for Niger wife residency..

Can anyone help give advice who understands this very well? It is very confusing I swear 😞
TravelMy Husband Hurt Me.. by Peacefulplace(op): 11:09pm On Apr 18, 2024
People have told me to leave but I love him so much that I don't think I can do that.

My husband is my soulmate and we have had many disagreements before but still end up making up in the end.

He is a very loving man. The kindest man I have ever met. He always talks so dearly about me and will always makes sure I am okay. His sister and family are also so sweet and understanding.

But today he did something he has never done to me. We had a fight. I shut the door and went to look at his phone. I found some casual flirting on Instagram, and i think it was yahoo boy behavior. To get some little money in his hands. When I found out, I was very angry. I slammed his phone down on the floor not thinking and out of anger I make crack in screen. My husband wanted his phone back so he broke the door down to get it because I did not open door for him. When he saw the crack on screen, he threw the phone at my face and it hurt my nose.. it was paining me. He immediately said sorry and begged me not to leave. He kissed me and cried because he himself was in shock that he hurt me. He never hurt me before I swear on my life na. He is such a good sweet man that we both shocked 😲. It was to much. I accepted and forgive him. Now he say to move on and let's forget about all this and try to do our for the marriage. Us both need to change and be better to each other. He want to go to church and ask for forgiveness. I believe this was a mistake and he is not the evil I saw today. But when I ask my close female friends, they tell me I need to run far from him and that he is very bad for that he did..

But I don't want to give up on our marriage or chance for family . He treats me so well na. I don want to tell anyone else what happened. Dey may say many theories but don know our love for each other you understand..

Just some small advice I am asking .. I beg

If I don't have a big mansion

I'm not marrying yet

The person I would marry deserves to be treated as a queen...

Dhurr, I will never go for a girl who is big orrrr sees herself as being big.
She would be the most looked down upon by other girls.
Then, I'd bring her up above them ✌️

Back to the room above

It's not good for marriage
I am new to Nigeria. I am white from western country. I have never seen this thing before. Men think like this in Nigeria? In western countries we are very very understanding. We just like people for love. Nothing much more. Some women may be Abit more materialistic then others. But most would be happy as long as they have a man who loves them.

TravelRe: Help: Using A 'dummy Ticket' In Place Of A Return Flight Ticket. by Peacefulplace: 6:02am On Mar 18, 2024
Ashleyadams:
Hi guys,

I'll be traveling to an African country on a tourist/visit visa.
Usually, airlines and immigration require a return ticket for visitors/tourists to make sure that you'll be leaving their country after your stay.

However, I have no intention of returning (I'll secure a resident permit) so I plan to book a
'Dummy Ticket' in place of a Return ticket in order to reduce my travel cost.

Hi I know this thread is old, but how did it go? Did they ask for proof? I cannot afford a ticket home as it is $5000 from Australia and I am intending to live there. My trip takes two days total, so over the refund limit for Expedia. I need help!

Has anyone tried this before? I'd like to know your experience/thoughts. Thanks!

Me and my husband live in Nigeria. I traveled over from Australia to be with him. I saw people selling dashiki at the markets and thought they looked very comfortable. The first question is what colour are you? If you are black, do you look like a westerner?

Wearing camouflage will get you harassed by soldiers, but security operatives are usually careful around foreigners because messing with them can get you in trouble.
I am Irish and Australian. I'm very pale. 😂 I am happy they will not harass me

How is it a fake story? I'm confused. Is cheating not something that is mentioned about on here?

- so 8 months ago, you guys got engaged and started a r/ship the same day?!
- if you guys got engaged 8months ago and thats when he started cheating, when did he actually STOP cheating?
- if thats what this man is putting you through in just 8months of dating, then let me send my condolences for your future married life.

here the IMPORTANT question: why do you want to get married, if you/it sound so miserable and you have so much doubts?
Not the same day. We got engaged 8 months ago we have known each other as friends 2 years. We got engaged 5 months after our relationship started. So it's pretty new at the time.
RomanceRe: Should I Forgive My Husband For Cheating? by Peacefulplace(op): 10:49pm On Mar 09, 2024
MrBrownJay1:
i dont know if its your story who makes very little sense, or you have difficulties telling your story:

ok so below you said:

so what you are saying above is that for roughly 2yrs of knowing this man he was "cheating" on you AND YOU GUYS GOT ENGAGED while you fully well knew he was cheating (and thereafter asked him to stop)... correct?

then you wrote:

have you confirmed that he actually stopped messaging these women?

at least you now know the type of deceitful/untrustworthy person this man is. shouldnt you first make sure he aint doing this deceit gain before getting married? or better yet, ask yourself this simple question: what was it about you or your r/ship (In the 1st 2yrs of dating) that was lacking that he had to go seek validation from other women online?

...and you have the right to be, but you sound like someone who is like has to "settle for less" or accept something that you aint down with? why the rush? cant you wait until this man does right by you before you marry him?

YES you should stay with him but you definitely should wait until he shows you that he is the PERFECT MAN for you to marry, and not some 2nd/3rd best option. the fact that you even write that:"he hasnt cheated for a while", as if this is an achievement. NEWSFLASH: he shouldnt do that to begin with! here is a clue: you shouldnt even have to tell him to stop... if he really wanted you like that (aka as the woman he wants to spend his life with) then you wouldnt have to tell him to stop trying to get with other women online or whatever, because he wouldnt even think of other women like that.

if you believe that a man ho had no respect for you nor your r/ship will suddenly stop (because thats what YOU want) then you have a lot to learn about men. so far we know, he could just be more careful now. remember: you cant change a man, no woman on earth has ever succeeded.
No. I knew him as a friend two years prior. We started a relationship and got engaged after 2 years of being friends. After we got engaged he was online cheating with two other women. And he only just told me today (8 months after we got engaged)
