When we talk of a leader who knows his job. A leader who can give you both the scientific and philosophical explanation of his approach to governance...you should know we are talking about Babatunde, Raji Omo-Fashola, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Outgoing Governor of Eko ILE.
I give it up to him...for all the courage...discipline...social-friendliness...independence...simplicity and dedication to duty...He was the shining star in the APC...it was because of his achievements that APC swept the South-West in 2011. It was this man's presence in APC that gave many people hope in an APC led Federal Government.
I am still very very surprised that no one is trekking for this great servant...a Man who gallantly led the Ebola battle from the front...a man who tamed the Oshodi Market Madness...we are talking of the slayer of the popular Oluwole forgery clinic..the nightmare of the underworld guys....the terror of lazy govt. workers...and the inventor of the BRT lane.I dedicate the eve of this dispensation to BRF...
Permit me to scream
TiRi Gbosa for Babatunde owon.
Gbosa! Gbosa!! Gbosa!!!

Bros, check well. Na Tinubu invent the BRT lane, although na Fashola commission am. Congrats to Fashola
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: 2015 Graduate Cadet Pilots Programme At Bristow Helicopters (Nigeria) Limited by peanut123: 12:14pm On Jan 21, 2015
My younger brother applied in 2013 and made it after a series of tests and interviews. He was sent to Florida for 13 months and was trained as a helicopter pilot with both Private and Commercial Licenses. He is back in Nigeria working for them. It's a real opportunity and I'm proud of him. My friend was also there before him. Needless to say, we didn't have any connections and my brother just wrote the tests and was successful.

If you are qualified, apply! You just need to have a B.Sc, less than 28 years and have your 5 credits.

Politics / Re: Presidency Budgets N1.2b For State House Clinic by peanut123: 12:56pm On Dec 24, 2011
Well, the breakdown is not too outrageous. The state house clinic has to be fully equipped (i.e. if they actually buy these and maintain properly). It doesn't have to appear in the budget every year. Moreover, do we have any information on what has been budgeted for health development in Nigeria generally. Let's get that information first before we start to castigate this budget.
I don't support GEJ at all but let's not get paranoid here, democracy is very expensive and this is just one of the prices we have to pay for running a democracy. I do hope the government does what is right and develop other hospitals in the country!!!

Politics / Re: Crude Oil Discovered In Ara Orin, Kwara State by peanut123: 1:06pm On Aug 15, 2011
Mr. KnowAll is intoxicated by his ignorance. Let me tell you two things, when you say the cost of extracting oil in Bayelsa is negligible, then you must be smoking something cheap because extraction of oil goes through the normal process of OPLs, seismic studies and reservoir studies to determine if it's in commercial quantities, community relations, hiring a rig, well completions, hooking up to a flowline or a flowstation before you can make money from the oil. All these costs millions (not thousands) of dollars.
Also, even if there is oil in Kwara state, we dont know whether it's in commercial quantities so we have to find that out first if not you'll dump money and reap nothing.
Someone also said onshore drilling is a thing of the past in Nigeria because of Ogoni land, that's another untruth. Let's get our facts right before typing.  embarassed

By the way, I'm in the oil industry.

2. If Tunde Bakare is a man of God, he would know that Ruth became one of the ancestors of Jesus Christ. tongue
3. Has Tunde Bakare said anything that makes sense before, why should I be bothered now. When he started, we usually read his proclamations on the front pages of newspapers, now we glimpse it on softsells and gossip columns, who cares shocked
4. Who attends Latter rain sef?
5. He's not a good pastor, he's not a good politician. What is he? Mediocre/Charlatan

Politics / Re: Senate Leadership: ACN, Minority Parties Reject Tinubu’s Candidate by peanut123: 7:45pm On Jun 14, 2011
Ystranger, I guess you are so unintelligent to see that you are actually praising Tinubu.

Tinubu as a governor raised the IGR of Lagos from 600million naira to 4billion naira. Obasanjo withheld the funds of all the local governments in Lagos state. He said he'll only release it when Lagos reverts to 20.
OBJ wanted Lagos by all means, hence he starved Lagos of funds thinking to distract Tinubu so that PDP would win Lagos.
Story, Tinubu was wiser, he drew all of us to his side and we voted FASHOLA, his choice. Tinubu doesnt even like claiming too much credit, that's why you guys have forgotten his accomplishments. Who do you think started BRT? The truth is that, Tinubu's name will forever remain in Nigerian politics. He's the 1 man in Nigeria, the whole of PDP leadership fear.
Mr. Ystranger, Can you name another person please? Please, stop your envy and learn what you can from the guy to better your life. Whether you like politics or not, watch and learn.

I'm sure it was people like ystranger that started circulating text messages against Tinubu days before the National Assembly elections (hiding behind Labour party). I'm tired of your posts sef.
Politics / Re: If A Nigerian Sets Himself On Fire In Front Of The National Assembly: by peanut123: 6:17pm On Jun 14, 2011
The deputy senate president should learn how to use a fire extinguisher. We are so ill prepared for disaster management in Nigeria. Not many people know how to use a fire extinguisher and yet, most of us have cars and live in houses. *SMH.
Politics / Re: Senate Leadership: ACN, Minority Parties Reject Tinubu’s Candidate by peanut123: 3:05pm On Jun 14, 2011
Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon (GOS) wanted to run for Governor in 2007 against Fashola in the AC primaries. Tinubu wanted to run for Senate. In order to placate Sen. GOS, Tinubu arranged with Sen. GOS to quit the gubernatorial race and he then relinquished his senatorial ambition for GOS to take up. GOS took it up and won, Fashola also won. Tinubu is a godfather. Everybody is happy.
If you don't like it, hug transformer.
Politics / Re: Senate Leadership: ACN, Minority Parties Reject Tinubu’s Candidate by peanut123: 1:26pm On Jun 14, 2011
How can someone say Tinubu is selfish when his action according to the so-called Tribune article show that he's being selfless and calculative for the expansion and protection of ACN. Again, Tinubu is very wise unlike some people on NL who just reply to any post without talking.

How can someone say nobody voted for Mrs. Tinubu? Well, I did, and everybody in my polling booth just kept voting for ACN. If you say, they rigged, why didnt you protect your vote. I waited to witness counting because I knew that Tinubu haters like some of you would say there was rigging.

The simple truth is that if there was no Tinubu today in Yorubaland. The Yoruba race would have fizzled out in Nigerian politics. You guys need a leader with foresight, name someone else in Yoruba land today.

Tinubu has laid a foundation for you Yorubas, dont misuse it.

By the way, I'm not Yoruba but I admire Tinubu having watched his actions closely.
Travel / Re: Echose Of Tyranny In Arik Air Limited by peanut123: 12:22pm On Jun 14, 2011
I totally believe most of the things in the poster's write up. I have a cousin who works in Arik Air, ground services. I hadnt seen him since he started working there till his elder sister's traditional wedding in April in the village. We got talking after I called him 'Arik Big boy' and he kept on lamenting about:

1. How they are always owed 2 months salary, even the expatriates. (that's why I believe this)
2. How they dont allow their family members fly free.
3. How they owe aviation fuel companies and some have finally resorted to 'pay before service'.

I had a friend who left Air Nigeria when it was still Virgin Nigeria, he left when they started having problems after Richard Branson pulled out. He used to fly free along with 3 members of his family, and sometimes, he registers friends to fly cheap, Lag - Abuja, (abt 3k).
Well, I just think Arik management should seek professional consulting advice on how to handle their business to prevent this great airline being run aground.
