Father, I pray that you hear and move upon the prayers of those in this thread. Thank you father for what you have already done for me and for what you will do me. I pray that you cure me of any and all illness that afflicts me. I have been unemployed for nearly one year now and I pray that you will open up a door of opportunity for me to find a blessed job with a great salary and experience for me. I pray that you make a way for me to purchase my first home. I pray that in all things, you will direct me. In Jesus name, Amen. |
I pray that I pass my exam with flying colors. I pray that I am blessed with a position that pays me well both financially and with great experience. I pray that God uplifts my family and friends. |
Sometimes, yes. But then I recall the horrible way that I was treated and the feelings quickly disappear. |
I pray that I pass my licensing exam with a high score. I pray that I get a job that with which I am satisfied, learn from and excel at. I pray that my soul mate finds and marries me soon. I pray that my friend's soul mate finds her soon. I pray for perfect peace and to be continually covered by the blood of Jesus. |
That just could be the culprit. I did use more than the 2 tablespoons that the recipe called for because I thought that the dough was too stiff. |
I've attempted to make it a couple of times, but I think that I am doing something wrong. The chin always turns out too dough-like. It isn't crispy on the inside like it should be. I've adjusted the temp of the oil, but to no avail. Do you know what I could be doing wrong? Or is it just a faulty recipe that someone provided? ![]() |
Very nice Arshy. I am in the same position right now. ![]() |

If he was a good man I would do it. Can't let a good one go because of something as trivial as age. |
I would introduce a man to my family only after he has made his intentions known by introducing me to his family first. |

Sidney Poitier said that he got rid of his Bahamian accent by listening to news programs on the radio and then repeatedly enunciating the words just as the announcer had done. |
This topic is most interesting. I have a friend who is a carrier. His family has hooked him up with a girl from his tribe who is also a carrier. The girls family said that they could still get married because there is some type of medical procedure that will cure any child born with sickle cell ![]() She and her family said that if the baby received a blood transfusion, I think, immediately after birth, the child will be cured. They also said that it isn't widely known because the procedure isn't done in the U.S. and because it costs about $50,000. I know from another friend who is a medical doctor that there are procedures that are done abroad that are not done here in the US, but I really don't believe her. I think that this girl will go to great lengths to marry my friend and warned him. He told me that even if it could be done, he doesn't want to do it because he wouldn't want her family to ever say that they "purchased" his child and hold it over his head. What say you? |
Both are important to me. I need my career to make a living for myself, but love could and would trump a job any day. |
4 max. I would prefer to have 2 boys and 2 girls. |
His parents disapproved of me, well, one of them did That parent wanted someone for him who is from their tribe, state/village, etc. Even though I am a good person (intellingent, professional, spiritual, caring, etc.) it didn't matter and he felt very conflicted over it. In the end, we both knew that he wasn't strong enough to stand up for what he wanted and the relationship fell off. In hindsight, it was probably the best thing. Marriage has enough problems on its own without family adding to it. |
I agree with you Ima. I've never cheated and doubt that I ever would. |
In my opinion, no. I've dated a few that were not the best looking on the outside, but yet didn't encounter any measure of difficulty in engaging in outside relations/relationships. |
I totally agree with you cute-ass. No way I would or could do it. How about this, what would you ladies do if your hubby decided that he wanted to take a second wife? Would you stay or get out? |
Igbo and French. Anyone know where I can find resources to learn Igbo? I understand that there are several dialects within the Igbo language, but I most want to learn that of those who populate Enugu. |
I'm new here as well and I'm having the same problem. Any help?? |
Hello everyone! I am a new member here. I am a 28 year old female living in the U.S. |
